1. The Amaze is due for an all new model rather than a facelift, so it might be wise to wait before making a purchase. However expect a price jump with the new model.

2. It has a 4-star safety rating. Low safety rating in some crash tests is primarily due to the lack of side and curtain airbags across all its variants. However, it remains a relatively safe car overall. For better understanding read this post (GNCAP: 1 star for Bolero Neo, 2 for Honda Amaze and 0-3 for Kia Carens)

3. While it's hard to predict Honda's long-term plans, the brand has tasted success in India and holds aspirational value for many. Honda is performing better than several other manufacturers, so it is likely to continue its presence in the market.

4. You can expect a fuel efficiency of 18-20 kmpl on highways and around 12-13 kmpl in city driving. The lowest I’ve experienced in heavy traffic was 9 kmpl.

5. The suspension is definitely on the softer side. I’ve installed silicon buffers on both the front and rear suspension, which has significantly improved the ride quality. The total cost was ₹5,000, and now the suspension feels comparable to European cars.

Thanks to you all for the suggestions!
At that price point, its better to go for the current gen Amaze VX CVT. The next gen Amaze is just around the corner, but the prices will go up. The current Amaze is still a great car. You can get it around 10.2 lakhs OTR or thereabouts after discounts depending on which state in India you are buying. I believe there is a close to 1 lakh rupee discount ongoing for the Amaze. It's a fantastic buy at that price, given how car prices have creeped up over the years. Please note that the Amaze was rated 4 stars as per the old protocol and 2 stars as per the new protocol. It's still much better than the competition in terms of safety.

EDIT : I see you are from NCR. You can probably get it for under 10 lakhs OTR in NCR.

You're bang on. Due to the Navratri Discounts, Amaze Non-white VX CVT (top model) has been quoted to my sister for 10.5L OTR in NCR. This includes Seat cover, arm rest, basic kit, Utility Pack, Ext Warranty, 3 years Service Pack. Entire insurance basket RSA Zero Dep,RTI too!

Net net take this opportunity. The new Amaze presumably will be higher priced due to usage of the City platform.

Few queries on this modification pl:

1 Any impact on mileage.
2 I presume this will void warranty. If yes then no option for newer owners.
3 Would this also have increased ground clearance?
4 Any disadvantages after changes?

Welcome to TBHP.
1. Don't wait for a face-lift -prices will rise due to platform change. Also cash in on festive discounts.

2 Body shell was found to be stable and could take further loading. Read the GNCAP Report. One of our senior THB Members has even written in detail how this could have been 5-star way back in 2018 if not for the absence of a Seat belt reminder. Dear Moderators, Please attach the link if possible.

3 They're meandering. With Elevate managing 3000 monthly exports to the highly demanding Japan Domestic Market (JDM) cash flows are presumably safe. Less chances of them going the Ford way.

4. The mileage of the corresponding Maruti Dzire/ Baleno is higher. No discussion. The tradeoff is the safety and, the aspirational value of Honda.

5. I don't feel any issue with this parameter.

Since you are based in NCR, another car you may consider is Citroen C3 Turbo AT. Exceeds your budget by 25-30K, but expect good discounts on this car. It’s unique, feature loaded and with good suspension.

Re: Honda Amaze : Official Review

I would recommend sticking to NA 4 cylinder of Amaze vs Citroens 3 pot Turbo.

You can't really go wrong with a Honda.

Since pricing is at par go for the Sedan vs the hatchback. You'll thank us later. Cheers

Re: Honda Amaze : Official Review

Hi I have a 2 year old Amaze CVT VX. Performance had been flawless. Off-late, the wired android auto functionality is giving trouble. Display occasionally hangs, response is late. Is this a software issue? On re-inserting the cable it takes > 30 seconds to work.

Re: Honda Amaze : Official Review

With the now fortified (GNCAP 5 Star) Dzire blazing away Honda has a plateful for the 3rd gen Amaze launch.

Proactively get NCAP ( either Bharat or Global) ratings. Don't mess up as done for Africa / 4 star fiasco.

I don't think they'll launch a sunroof. Hopefully not a show stopper.

My wishlist:
Rear headrest & AC blower, Cruise control in CVT, better insulation from external noise. Can the tiptronicpaddle shifters be fixed- they rotate along with steering wheel.

Any other suggestions?

I'm sure Honda folks follow TEAM BHP, so maybe we can hope for action.

Re: Honda Amaze : Official Review

So I was looking for a spoiler for my car and came across this store called Autoglam. They have listed plenty of custom car parts and accessories which includes custom spoilers with OEM color options. They are very active on Youtube and there are many followers. Their store and customer response on whatsapp was good initially so I decided to buy the spoiler with same color as my car (Golden Brown).

I was asked to make online payment on their site for fast processing and even given a voucher for discount of Rs 700 on a listed price of Rs 4800. I made full payment of Rs. 4100/- on 17 Nov 2024 via credit card.

I was told that shipment would be immediate and asked for updates after two days and then realised that it was all a FRAUD. No one was responding on the wattsapp number or shipping number either on call or wattsapp message

Luckily I made the payment via credit card and raised a merchant dispute. Even if i dont get the money, i will make sure that merchant is blacklisted so that others are not cheated. It is because of such fraudsters that smaller companies are not able to survive and AMAZON is thriving without competition.

Anyway, There isn't much hopes on getting the spoiler or refund from the seller but I don't want you guys to get trapped like me and lose money so sharing my experience here. Also please share this information to everyone and in social media to disclose the fraud business of Autoglam. You can also retweet this on twitter.

Details of the Autoglam:
AUTOGLAM.IN
Glam Retail Pvt. Ltd.
K H 154, H NO 109, Near Amity Int School, Mayur Vihar Phase 1 Extn, East Delhi – 110091, India
+91 99535 83123 (This is the number to sales lady. She will only respond till we make payment and then always tell to whatsapp below number)
+91 98111 19396 (This guy gives updates on whatsapp but he won't talk on phone. Acts like VIP and tells me to send message on whatsapp in a rude manner and hangup, won't listen a word.)

TLDR: Autoglam is a fraud seller. They are doing regular PR on Youtube, Instagram, Facebook to lure in customers, loot their money and never send the products they have ordered. If anyone tries to disclose this in their channel/page then it will be removed or hidden from public.

Thanks...
Best Regards

I live right next door and i went and took a walk to see if this existed, turns out it does not its in "Chilla Gaon", one of the urban villages of delhi, you know where people with loud exhausts, tinted glass and funny stickers which read "its me" dominate. The address you have is for a BSES Substation.

I feel bad for you, but i fear your money is a lost cause. I can recommend you come to PS Mayur Vihar and ask them to help you, the present SHO is actually a decent chap.

Definitely overpriced. In NCR you can get 2024 Amaze VX CVT for 11 lac OTR.

Re: Honda Amaze : Official Review

I am planning to buy current gen Amaze CVT (mostly VX trim) in couple of weeks (post launch of next gen model).

Any guidance on how much of price drop should I push for? Was seeking a reference number so I can negotiate better with dealership
