Looks cool from this angleclap:

Looks like an overseas ad of the Harrier. I doubt if it is in India. It does look cool in Red though I am not a big fan of black rooftops

It's a Harrier painted in Land Rover Red by Kitup Automotive, Coimbatore.

Is this a software issue? I've linked a video a few pages back of another owner showing us his switches light up indicating a malfunction.

This owner on the other hand has his system state its malfunctioning.

Is this a case of that overtly sensitive steering at high speed? The pictures are from a popular social media platform.

Don't know the specifics of the accident, but the pillars have crumbled, which is not a good sign. Is the body not strong enough?

Not just pillars, entire body shell seem to have broken in to 2 pieces.

I don't know the specifics apart from it being a MP registered car and lying turtle beside a highway. Even the chassis is partially destroyed. Doesn't augur well at all.

Looking at the bend in chassis, could be a side on collision with something ? Accidents can be really gruesome and cant blame the car without knowing what the speed was and other conditions.
Waiting for more details.

This one is 2 months Old Video. How many times we got to see same thing. No Offences to Kuldeep but you tube has same thing from different persons off late.
Don't know who are those people but trying to keep certain bad memory alive. While nobody gives clear picture of what happened. First person to post this confirmed no loss of life.

According to him 1) Reason for accident is still unknown.
2) Most importantly, ALL passengers are absolutely SAFE clap:.

You may skip first 7 minutes.

PS- I can not verify the information provided in the video.

Indeed - this one was posted multiple times on this thread & even in the Indian Car scene H5X thread a few months back. I think it got removed afterwards as there were no details at all - and members were simply speculating or blaming things purely on guesswork.

Best to avoid that when details aren't available. At most - this item belongs on the TBHP Indian Road Accidents thread, not on an official review thread IMO.

When the details are not known properly it is better not to talk about steering or something else. It shouldn't be blamed/bashed until the facts are known, it should also enjoy benefit of doubt.

This is where I am seeing the difference, Tata vehicles enjoy less benefit of doubt compared to the other makes. One might argue that other OEMs are also not spared if any niggles/issues are found, but the magnitude of bashing and nit-picking in case of Tata is altogether different.

Note that I am neither backing Tata nor against other OEMs but talking about the difference in treatment for different brands/OEMs.

To some extent, I tend to agree with you. Just saw this post on other thread and couldn't stop myself from cross posting:

No vehicle is perfect in the market and any vehicle will have its own flaws. At the end it matters down if the negatives outweighs the positives for that particular buyer. DCT issues are being reported in Seltos and Venue as they use dry clutch instead of wet. Its a new product to Indian market and only time will say how good of a technology it is. A big manufacturer like Hyundai / Kia would play safe in bringing newer technologies to a mass market like India by analyzing tons of test data even before zeroing in an option during product development phase. Internet is a great platform to gather information about anything and everything. In most scenarios, people do not report positive reviews and they also blow issues out of proportion.

Personally i never buy a vehicle within the first year after its launch. Working in the industry, i can say that no manufacturer can catch all issues in a vehicle before launch and they use customer feedback / warranty claims to tweak their vehicle in the following years.
Can you see such post written about Tata?

I didn't understand the question & the context of the large quoted paragraph. Source of it is missing, so not able to read the whole content and understand the point better.

However - it does show that for the 1st year, DCT issues in new entrants are acceptable as its a new technology (it isn't new at all in reality. Its more than a decade old in mass market even.) & that car makers learn & improve the product over the next year.

Then I guess people shouldn't bash the Harrier exclusively for being a product that will be ready in 2020 - 1 year after launch?
And that's where Tata makes a huge #. Seltos, Hector, whatever else - have their fair share of niggles & mechanical issues. Like all machines always will. But they have a lot of other items to enjoy that mask these negatives. Tata makes a huge mammoth with minimal such little tricks & when there is a mechanical issue, it has nothing to hide behind. :D
