Re: Tata Harrier : Official Review

Brilliant update. My next car for sure.

Was wanting an upgrade from the Polo GT (family and space constraints) and test drove the XL6, came away hugely disappointed by the build quality. Having been spoilt by VWs quality the Harrier is surely the wiser upgrade!

This is one car that definitely need an AT. Do we know which is the gearbox on this? The same one as on the Hexa?

This is supposed to be the six-speed Torque Converter from Hyundai.

Since you saw these up close, do you recollect if they indeed had rear discs as well?

Given the bump in power, it would make sense for Tata to equip the Harrier with all-round discs.

Cheers,
Uday.

It's clearly visible in this thread: https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/india...ml#post4730039 (Scoop! 6-Seater Tata Gravitas spotted)

The Gravitas with the electric parking brake had rear disc brakes so yes the photo might be of rear disc brake.

Re: Tata Harrier : Official Review

The disappointing bit is that the same old plasticky and oddly bulging horn pad has been carried forward, even the one from the 20 year old Indica looks better. It is just simply murdering the aesthetic senses in an otherwise high quality interior.

Even if the designers were too lazy and slow to come up with a new design from scratch, they could have just stuck a high quality leather wrap on top of the ugly pad and it would have still passed muster.

This can be done in a good upholstery shop and even you can cover the tata logo as well

Hi, I have a Feb 2019 manufactured Harrier XZ and have actually not faced any of the issues that have you have highlighted from Aditya's review. In the past 10 months I have had a couple of instances where the MID went blank but it got back to normal after switching off the engine for about 15 minutes and staring it back again. So, you can rest assured that many niggles that were reported have been taken care in the post May manufactured units.

Might be just me, but, I actually felt that the handbrake on the Harrier looked kinda cool . After driving cars for the past 30 or so years with a traditional handbrake, this one actually made my ride feel a little exclusive. And, I have not had any issues so far of the plastic feeling flimsy or making creaking noises when engaging the same. But yes, the space occupied by the handbrake could have been put to better use if we had the traditional one.

Re: Tata Harrier : Official Review

A new teaser is out showing the new alloy. I think this will be the last of the 3 new updates we are going to see on the new Harrier.

Re: Tata Harrier : Official Review

Next Teaser. 170bhp? It will be an exciting product in that case - 170bhp, automatic, terrain modes and affordable.

Re: Tata Harrier : Official Review

Altroz, Nexon 2020, Nexon EV, Tiago facelift, Togor facelift, Harrier 2020, and Gravitas. Looks like Tata is on a roll. What else is lined up for launch in 2020?. All these should help improve TML as a company. Otherwise they can stop Passenger car business and focus more on commercial vehicles.
