100% recommend it.

The default city mode for me now is P1 (with P2 being the max torque / power) and for highways I have tried driving it in stock and I just can't.

More than the power boost, the torque bump improves drivability in the city and makes it really peppy in the highways.

Go for it.

https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/test-...ip-report.html (ZESTY - Kia Seltos HTK Plus Petrol IMT - Initial ownership report)

I found this for Seltos HTK plus iMT.
not official review but an ownership review which might help.

While they do say that the suspension is softened for the current 2021 Seltos models, the Xline comes with the 18 inch wheels which means a lower profile tyre. The stock JK Royale tyre is also not a good one. End result is a jarring ride on bad roads compared to larger profile tyres.

If comfort is a key parameter and you are really intending to buy a seltos, I would recommend the GT line with 17" wheels instead.

My previous ride was a Creta SX Auto with 17" wheels and the current Xline is honestly no match.

I got the delivery of x-line diesel recently.

Basics -

Zero discount whatsoever by the dealer.

Got 7% discount on accessories.

Didn't buy extended warranty. Will do shortly. Suggestions welcome.

After reading horror stories about ride quality, first thing I did is upgrading the tyres.

JK UX royale 215/55/18 to Continental 245/50/18
Paid good 40k for that. But they look cool.

I am yet to really try harsher ride however, but till now the ride is not bad. Ride quality improved after the upgrade, but not massive improvement.

Just putting in perspective, I have downgraded my car from Audi Q3 to x-line.

Yet to start complaining. Not done drooling over its grey matte colour.

Need help on :-

1.How to play Amazon music in the car. Find Android auto cumbersome. Is there any other way to do that ??

2. How to increase the headlight output? Simpler hack or upgrade ?

3. Is there a way to bring Google maps on the HUD?

4. The low safety score continue to scare me . Is there any possible upgrade on the front possible. Which is hidden under the front bumper or something? Guess I am being too finicky on this.

5. Is there some solution for matte colour protection apart from precautions.

6. Can I use some diesel additive in the car?

Finally the feedback about the car experience.

Love the way car drives. Diesel engine plus the transmission work perfectly. No complaint absolutely.

Driven friend's creta dct petrol. I prefer Seltos diesel over that. Anytime..!!

Wow! What all do you really miss from your Q3 other than the ride quality?

Why do you prefer Seltos diesel over DCT?

Matte PPF could be an option:

Congrats on the new car Sunil. You will have lot of fun driving coming up for you. Do not have the answers you seek as I have left mine in stock state.

But am interested in your tyre upgrade - JK UX royale 215/55/18 to Continental 245/50/18. Would you please be able to share some pictures? Would love to see how the beauty looks now. Previous threads on team-bhp for Seltos upgrades were on 17 inch wheels and to 235 width....not sure if yours if the first 18 inch wheel upgrade on Seltos to 245 width.

Thanks for Matte PPF suggestion. Will find more.

With regard to broader feedback, miss the adaptive suspension, descent road presence, great ride quality ( it used to drive like a video game joystick), safe feeling inside the car.

However, Seltos bring to the table value for money, pretty descent drive, excellent interiors and exteriors, lots of gadgets to keep my daughter interested

You can drive Seltos without any guilt of wasting money.

Changing rear side glass wouldn't cost 90k anymore. Changing left side rear view mirror wouldn't cost 1.20L anymore.

Totally agree. Driving experience and dynamics in seltos is mindblowing and all black or blue interiors give you a luxury feeling.

Your ride looks excellent.

Thanks Sunil. The ride does look awesome and the upgrade does not seem out of place at all. Will consider similar for my ride once I have worn out the current ones a little more

I am getting insurance from outside by claiming 50% NCB transfer, costing me approx 20k.

Thank You. I got it installed a week or so back, noticeable difference in performance, excited to drive it on the highway on P2. I also believe it would considerably improve the drive on the hills as turbo lag does not exist at all, you can say in P2.

Any other suggestions/changes you suggest regarding the brakes/suspension and maybe the wiper blades, I got those changed in less than a year and still leaving trails now.

Thanks again it's good connecting with someone using the same car and upgrades.

Re: Kia Seltos : Official Review

Existing owners - Could you please confirm this:
Post-booking, who informed you when the vehicle was allocated? Was it a SMS from Kia or a call from the dealer? Just trying to understand the process transparency, since I noticed that the dealers in Pune are offering multiple variants in ready stock stating that these are readily available due to cancellations.
