Can someone direct me on how to connect with a Kia zonal sales head? The showrooms are being extremely vague on consistently changing delivery dates.

Seltos has been tested by Global NCAP. The Kia Seltos achieved three stars for adult occupant protection and two stars for child occupant protection in today’s #SaferCarsForIndia crash test results.

Head protection was adequate for both front passengers as both airbags bottomed out during the crash test.

Child occupant protection showed poor results mainly because the manufacturers refused to recommend a child restraint system for the test.

Global NCAP expects car manufacturers to be responsible for all the occupants.

For a global company with a model which is selling huge numbers in India, a 3 star rating in my opinion is poor. I think our local guys TATA and M&M are doing better in at least looking to achieve better results and have proved also with few of their products.

Well, Koreans care more about air purifiers, HUDs and miscellaneous features rather than safety it seems.

Nios scores are worser- just 2 stars. The higher variants should score more given added safety kit but the structure seem to be borderline unstable, which is bad.

Nios top variants don't have anything else. The safety features are standard across variants. Dual airbags, ABS with EBD and some other stuff. Also, the variant tested here was the Sportz Trim.

This is disappointing news. Expected definitely better.Any idea on how much of a difference will it make if the test vehicle is rather a top end spec ? The variant here seems to be base model.

So true, if you go through the comments on the GNCAP Video then people are saying the same thing.

Overall, this exposes the double standards of the various manufacturers as to how they cut corners when it comes to selling in India. Are they to blame? Or should we blame our own Govt that is taking forever to put a Crash Test Regulation in place. For now its a good move by GNCAP to test one of the successful, fast selling models and opening the eyes of the buyer.

Zero difference!

Higher variants have extra airbags, ESP, TC and so on. But in case of GNCAP frontal collision test, none of these features would play any role. Most important, structure has been termed unstable. Take any variant but the basic structure remains the same.

I walked into the Kia showroom on Monday with a very specific request - Need to TD the diesel automatic and also to see the HVK+ variant in person.

No immediate purchase plans. We had checked out the Sonet last month and wife really loved the Seltos/Sonet. A quick look at the spec sheet showed that the HVK+ diesel AT is good value in the entire range. Didn't get the TD though - crowded showroom and some excuse of the Diesel AT having a tyre change.

Funnily enough - Got a call follow up call from the showroom - asked them if they came to know about the NCAP results and wished them a good day.

There is nothing much to differentiate between Nios and Seltos. Nios gets 7.05 AOP and Seltos barely made it into 3 stars at 8.03. It is almost a 2 star rating, if not for 0.04 points.

Seltos actually fared even worse than the old Duster which received a lot of flak with the compromised airbag, and which had 9 points.

As a Seltos' owner, to say I'm disappointed would be an understatement.

This is so disappointing. The cost of the product is not determined by the safety rating unfortunately.

3 stars for this price range is not acceptable in 2020.

Request administrators to update the safety ratings in bold in the Kia Seltos : Official Review . I believe other Bhpians may have requested the same in other threads. Anyways we know the truth about the safety claims made by Kia, which is quite disappointing in 2020.
Hope people will take informed decision about safety and choice safer cars above flashy features, over dose of chrome and useless sunroof (my personal opinion).
