  • The OTR before any additions is 6L (as seen in picture).
Have you considerd Tata Tiago? The XTA is costly by 1L more but it would offer a 4* safety rating. Spresso has zero*. Since you were considering the punch I think you have the budget. So please spend some more and a car with safety rating.

I'd even consider buying a 2-3 year old car with proper safety rating rather than a new car without any safety rating.

My advice is based on my brother's accident within city where he was saved by the safety of the car (Verna). He escaped with minor injuries. The car was totalled.

Just a perspective here. I was also looking for the Punch to upgrade my Wagon R AMT. After seeing the prices I'm looking for a used car, preferably Nexon AMT. A few Polo GT TSi has also caught my eyes.

Just my two cents!!

I didn't actually have budget for punch. That too was a stretch (for what i thought may have been price). Just that I thought it would be reasonably priced but we all know how it went. Being first car and wanting to spend as little as possible but still not wanting used, this was the only option as we wanted a high seating.

Being first time owner, we are looking for fuss free ownership. I am very well aware about the 0 star of Spresso.

Tiago is still on the table and I will see what price it is and what all I get in it but then i dont want to get short changed with A.S.S with them especially because I am novice.

Man, the S-Presso base trim with black bumpers looks truly awful! My family was with me, so I told them how I love driving this car (in the city) and they were like

This particular picture reminds me of Bajaj Qute very much. The black bumpers doesn't seem to blend well with the car's exterior. The red strip on the tailgate looks a bit out of place as well.

Re: Maruti S-Presso : Official Review

I usually don't like any loud or white color and hence I have booked the Top end AMT Spresso in Grey colour. I feel grey and silver are more sober Colours.

It is the same colour Camry I had when I was in US.

@nanolover

How much did it cost? That thigh support kind of cover is something I saw first time.

This is not a seat cover per se. The old seat cover was taken off and thrown away. New padding in the thigh and neck area and side bolsters were added ( both front and rear). Then the seat was measured and cut/stitched accordingly.

A 2 day 3 person job. Cost I feel was a very reasonable 20k. Be prepared to drive around seat less for 2 days

Took off all seats ( except driver) and gave it to them at first. Finally did driver's seat also.

Thanks for the information.

Can you help me with one thing. I have booked the S-presso VXi+ AGS and will be mostly getting delivery in mid of December. The dealer has told me I should be able to get 28K Discount (15K + 10K + 3K Corporate). But this discount is as what is available in October / November 2021 so he had this disclaimer that discount is what is available when invoicing is done.

He additionally offered me 15K worth of accessories for free (verbal commitment) and told he cannot convert this to more cash discount so accessories is only option. Can you suggest what all accessories to get from Maruti as their prices are high compared to aftermarket. I am thinking of...
  • Seat Covers (Approx cost is 6.5k-7.5k depending on selection)
  • Front Grill Garnish - 1.5K
  • Wheel Arch Cladding - 4.5K
  • Mats may be?

I have done research outside and asked for prices of accessories and they are far cheaper there (literally asked 6 shops). I want to definitely install rear camera but MGA is 5.5K and outside same thing is well under 2K. Also the MGA doesn't even have guidelines (not dynamic) which is there if I buy from outside.

Additionally, I want to install...
  • Broad side cladding
  • Floor Lamination
  • Steering Cover
  • Door Visor
  • DRL (Super last priority and only because it is only 2K outside, MGA is 10K)

Re: Maruti S-Presso : Official Review

wheel arch cladding and side molding, mud flaps, floor and trunk mat, chrome garnish front and rear- this alone will come to 15 k from MGA.

Rest can get done outside at cheaper rates.

This is my suggestion.

Re: Maruti S-Presso : Official Review

For all those folks who hate blank switches in maruti. I have added dummy switches a la ambassadors of the 90s. Minda switches and 100 bucks a piece.

Only the black is live and is for the town/ country horn changeover. Other two colour ones are dummy and just used to fill the blank spaces. Can use in future if any accesories are added.

Is it like you have 2 separate horns and you switch between them? Why?

Re: Maruti S-Presso : Official Review

Off late I am seeing so many White S-Pressos being used as CNG Taxis in Mumbai along side new WagonRs. I think Maruti Suzuki's has a formula in place i.e. create cheap cars and then sell them to Ola,Uber, taxi operators in order to generate extra profit. IMO By doing this they are hurting their future brand image.
