A question on this - with only blower speed control on the rear, how does one control the temperature of the air coming in from 2nd and 3rd row vents? As far as I could see, the front console only allowed blower-speed control, and there was no provision to regulate temperature.

I haven't inspected the recent changed Endeavour, but almost all vehicles allows one to regulate the temperature for the console vents from the front control panel - which also changes the temperature for some vehicles that have vents in the center armrest/divider between the front seats, which provide vented airconditioned air to the second row seats.
However, only someone with the earlier Endeavour models can advise if there used to be a provision there for a knob in the same location (inbetween the 2 front seats) for adjusting the temperature for the 2nd and 3rd rows...

The rear AC vents follows the temperature set in the front. This was typical feature in all old SUVs/ MUVs including past Fortuner and Innova. They only had blower/fan control for rear. I am not sure but current Fortuner and Innova still has only blower/fan control with additional auto button (auto is for fan speed) Only Ford was giving 3 zone ACC.

Yes, earlier there were two knobs.
Ford has removed the temperature control knob from rear AC control. Not something that you will miss badly. My rear passengers never used the temperature control in last 3.5 years. Yes the missing knob looks bad, Ford could have designed the new rear blower/fan control from scratch but I guess the idea was cost reduction not cost optimisation.

Well, just to note - my 2005 Safari Dicor and my 2015/6? Safari Storme both have second row ACs that have a totally independent blower function due to separate AC coils below the roof - and cool only.
They do not mimic the console AC temperature, unfortunately.

That is logical, given that there is no other apparent way to set temperature for air coming out from rear vents. However, when I checked out a Dec made Endeavour, and set the temperature (via the front console) to 30 deg. C, the rear vents continued to throw cool air, while the front vents were spewing hot air. Quite weird! Does this imply that rear a/c temperature is "hard coded" and one can only control blower speed now?

Ford probably removed a heater element in the rear AC blower area and kept the secondary compressor (usually located in the rear of a Fortuner - don't know where the Safari Dicor or Storme's are...but my older Tata Safaris had the best one - in the cargo area and the compressor was also located there with the fan/blower)

Fair enough, but my query remains :) How does one control the degree of cooling for rear vents, if at all?

On/off - like my Tata Safaris? (The Storme has a console on/off rear compressor button, the Dicor just has a blower on/off switch)

Which essentially means that one can just switch the rear a/c on & off, with a fixed degree of cooling and adjustable blower speed.
As anticipated, Ford India was waiting for Toyota to reveal the pricing for Fortuner facelift. Ford India
website is now updated with new (2021) pricing for the Endeavour. Starting price (for Titanium 4x2) remains the same, with a hike of INR 35,000 across the remaining range. Not bad at all :thumbs up
