Re: Ford Endeavour 2.0L Diesel AT : Official Review (with dune bashing)

Is there a switch on the Endeavour to perform manual DPF regeneration like the Fortuner?

Re: Ford Endeavour 2.0L Diesel AT : Official Review (with dune bashing)

Got absolutely amazing fuel economy figure of 15 km/L today. Drove with a light foot with 70% highway and 30% city.

Not bad at all.

Re: Ford Endeavour 2.0L Diesel AT : Official Review (with dune bashing)

Planning to buy a new 4X2 Titanium+. JSP Motors in JP Nagar is giving me 1.5lcs discount on on road price. This is on the first visit to the showroom. I am guessing I should be able to negotiate further. What would be a good discount? I am not in a hurry, I can wait. Anyone else got any better deals in the recent past? Thanks in advance.

If you can wait till Jan 2021, you might get better deal

4x2 Titanium is 125kg lighter than the 4x4 variant and that explains the fuel economy & performance.

Is underbody anti-rust coating needed for Endeavour BS6 model?

All showrooms want to the clear their stock for the current calender year. So you can negotiate a further discount.
If you wait for next year January, then you can get a 2020 vehicle for more discount, but choices may be limited and you may not get the type and colour required.

The showrooms didnt have much stock. They are getting vehicles against customer booking. At least 3 dealers told me this. I have almost finalized the deal with JSP Ford in JP Nagar, Bangalore.

Hi smnrock...would be interested in finding out what you learn as only this Friday (4.12.2020) I enquired about the same thing as local councils here in the UK tend to grit the roads with salt during icy winter months. I had read elsewhere on these message boards of rusting so thought to explore options to protect the underside of my Endeavour.

My preference was to have the underbody sealing carried out by a Ford Main Dealer Service Centre for peace of mind. I was informed unless the vehicle has been booked in for a body spray post collision/incident then general workshops will not carry out the task where care needs to be taken to isolate/protect areas that need to remain free from the coating when it’s sprayed on. The other issue I learnt was to avoid opaque sealants as it could fail its annual MOT test as inspectors need to visually check the condition of the underside hence clear sealant is advisable.

So the hunt is on to identify a workshop with specialist knowledge and experience equipped to apply suitable clear anti-rust sealant. Initial findings have resulted in the average cost to be in the region of gbp250 and upwards.

What's with Ford India and irrational feature deletions?! Active Noise Cancellation is a key differentiator against competition - why delete that?

Not sure what Aux Heater is - can one of the owners shed some light here please?

Ah damn. I am expecting delivery of the 4x2 Titanium+ endeavour next week. It is a December manufacture model, however, my sales rep conveniently missed out on mentioning these feature deletions. This is absolutely rubbish on Ford's end.

Please go through the link, you will know the exact working. This if or other ford model, but I think the working should be the same.
