The Google map does not take up the full screen in Android Auto. The Android auto logo takes up 40% of the screen. This is a bit strange and it appears that there is no solution to this.

Has anyone found any workaround/solution to this?
I have 2020 model GTX+, I also have same way. It didn't bother me though. I have set the clock instead of AA Logo

An OTA update was released in late January and it updated the system to the below version

Software - QY22.IND.SOP.V042.001.241121
Firmware - QY.IND.301.240823.MICOM.D
Map - IN.17.41.44.521.101.1

But still Android Auto takes up only 60 percent of the screen.
The ticket that I raised with KIA was not very helpful, as they blamed the OEM (in our case it is Mobis). My efforts to talk with Mobis dev team too did not materialize.
To be honest I am not very hopeful as other Hyundai models like i20, which uses the same AVNT are also left in the dark.

You should be able to download the latest version of the software for 2022 model from "India map care" portal (A simple search can take you there).
You will have to register using the VIN and select "SONET 22MY" as your vehicle.
You are entitled for 3 free downloads post which it costs Rs.1500.

At first glance from screenshots the UI isn't much different between the two, just colors, and fonts are different while the UI structure is more or less the same. Any knowledgeable folks know about this?
Yes they are different and uses different software packages.

Re: Kia Sonet : Official Review

I've noticed a peculiar issue with my 2022 model GTX+ D-AT. Today, during a highway trip, I observed that whenever I went above 80 km/h, the car started losing power and the throttle response became extremely sluggish. Even when I floored the accelerator, the engine didn’t deliver enough power to maintain higher speeds. Up to 80 km/h, the initial torque and pickup seem normal.

Additionally, I've noticed a strange noise whenever I rev the engine and then release the throttle. The sound resembles a pigeon flapping its wings.

I'm suspecting an issue with the turbocharger and plan to take the car to the service center tomorrow.

Has anyone else experienced this issue with the D-AT variant?

Hi AmazeGuru

I have the same model and variant, clocking in at 73k kms on the Odo as we speak. And no. Haven't faced this particular set of problems till date.

I did face some issue of my Sonet hesitating to accelerate in a fluid motion after my 30k kms service though. A clean cloth to clean the O2 sensor and an ECU update seems to have done the trick. Not to mention that my fuel economy (tank to tank) touched 18+ kmpl with full time AC

I would recommend getting your O2 sensor cleaned thoroughly. The usual cleaning done during service involves blowing the sensor socket with air, which doesn't remove the carbon stuck on the sensor. Also, if you haven't got your EGR cleaned ever (SA advised to get it cleaned every 30k kms), i would recommend that you get that checked before touching the turbo.

Do let us all know what the outcome was.

Should the clock be set every time when the car is started? I had set it to clock, however upon re-starting the car the AA logo had come back again!

Yes, You need to set it each time I think. I rarely use AA, so don't recall.
