Was there any work done by the SC which might have damaged the horn? And they had to change it but could not get the original one hence the story?
SA didn't inform me about this. He sent me bill after servicing was done and had this item horn low horn high. I confronted him saying I didn't receive any mail from Hyundai regarding this,
he told me since it's not a big item, company didn't notify customer. I don't buy it though

I am waiting for feedback call from Hyundai, will take this matter to them directly and update here.

Re: Hyundai Creta : Official Review

My second service was done for completing 1yr at 8912 mileage in July 2023. Have driven around 3k since then, but the vehicle report on Bluelink is showing status abnormal for few things. Should I be worried ?

I don't think that this fault analysis is actually based on the condition. It might be based on info whether these items were replaced as per service schedule. My guess is that when you did the last service, these items would have been replaced but interval is not reset hence app is showing it as abnormal (overdue). You can go in the app setting and reset the interval to reflect next due.
Also, please note that wheel alignment and rotation is not mandatory requirement to be aligned to regular service interval. It is up to the customer to decide when and where (service center or outside) it should be carried out.

Re: Hyundai Creta : Official Review

1.5 yr old MT petrol, recently did a early morning trip to hometown. left at 5:30am and reached around 10:30am including half hour break for breakfast. I was hard on pedal the whole time, cruised around 110-120km/hr as i had a call to attend. Didn't bother to turn on AC for 90% of the journey as it was colder outside, MID was showing around 19km/L, but had to turn it on in the end as it was getting hot with the sun creeping up.

Before first service, i was bit worried about low mileage, but after an year, the numbers are decent, although, i am able to get only 15km/L on MID with AC always on same journey.
In cities, it drops to 13 in Bengaluru traffic.
On other short journeys, I have been hitting even 21km/L on MID if AC is turned off and driving between 80-100km/hr.
With AC off and RPM between 2-2.5k will give you a decent numbers.
I Wonder what diesel ones are fetching.

As BHPian Aviator_guy mentioned, they might have missed to update after the service. My first gen Creta comes with the service reminder on the MID and these guys always forget to reset this. So this reminder always comes up every time I start the car. But having said that, do check the engine oil level manually and share this information with your service advisor. Always better to cross check this.

As for wheel alignment and balancing, get it done outside from a reputed tyre shop. But there's one thing to note - your car comes with the steering position indicator right? Mine does. If so, sometimes you will need to recalibrate this sensor if you notice some misalignment issues while driving or the steering position notification throws on the MID even when the position is straight.

As for the mileage, I think that's decent for a petrol especially in Bangalore. I manage those figures in the diesel (1.6 CRDi MT) .

That is very good mileage for a petrol. I drive a diesel automatic in Bangalore and get similar figures. In city, it get around 11-12 km/l.

I haven't seen this reminder so far on MID. Although, I have seen this setting in Infotainment where i can manually configure next service date. Yeah, I need to check on the oil level manually.

I don't have such indicator for steering alignment, may be it is a new feature added later. why do you recommend wheel alignment outside? My last service center had done the wheel alignment and shared pictures of it as well. I kind of trust them. Direction of vehicle while driving looks fine when steering wheel is unattended.

Yep, I have also seen a video on YouTube who was trying to get > 25km/L by driving at 60 -80kmph on highways just to get high mileage.
I am trying different driving habits to see how the engine reacts. Weather & AC, RPM, idle time, frequent braking and fast accelerating are some of the factors I observed bring down mileage immediately.
I want see the numbers by driving 300km within 80kmph, may not happen as long as my wife keeps complaining of me driving slowly

The torque of diesel is no match for petrol, your mileage is justified.
I was very much blown away by petrol turbo. Diesel turbo must be exhilarating?

Re: Hyundai Creta : Official Review

The diesel turbo are not as exhilarating as diesels of DDiS swift or mahindra xuv300. It is like a predictable move but powerful nonetheless with better torque than petrol. With these diesels @speeds of 80-90 on highway with minimum braking - 25kmpl is easily possible. Increase the speed and it stablises to 22kmpl. But these diesels do not like city traffic and give you fixed mileage between 9-12kmpl in bangalore. My observations are with respect to AT Diesel.

Re: Hyundai Creta : Official Review

Went for my 3rd year servicing for 2020 model SX(O) to Modi Hyundai, Powai. The odometer is only at 13600 kms.
The SA gave me an initial estimate of around 22000 rs which included the below:
- AC system service level 2 - 5500 rs
- Brake bleeding - 1060 rs
- Clutch bleeding - 400 rs.
- Cowl Top cleaning - 1500 rs
- Fuel Tank Cleaning - 1800 rs
- Fuel Injector Cleaning - 1050 rs
- Throttle Body Cleaning - 450 rs
The above prices are approximate.
Though I went ahead with the Fuel injector and Throttle body cleaning, I was not sure about the rest at just 13600 km on the odometer and a yearly usage of just about 4000 kms.
Can somebody confirm if any of these are recommended / required?
The manual provided with the car lists the service items till the 3rd free service, but there is no mention of the requirements going ahead. Any inputs on this?

After reading your post I thought it must be a diesel Creta, that’s why such high maintenance cost, but soon realised it’s 1.5 NA IVT, same as mine(mine is 2022 model). I was really shocked and so checked myHyundai app to get an idea and this is what service calculator came up with for routine third year service.

I did third free service of my SX IVT recently and don't see these many items. Attaching screenshot of the bill for reference. Total bill was about 5k.

Note to the Moderate : I think the OP is referring to fourth service whereas I posted about third service. Please delete my post if it is not related to OP's question.

I havent done these on my 2015 Diesel Creta and I think they are just trying to play the trick here.

1. AC system service level 2
Ask them to explain the process and since this is level 2, was level 1 done previously? If so, ask them the process of level 1 and check your service history.
Am sure it's just a fancy name for "A/C disinfectant".

2. Cowl Top cleaning
Cowl top is the plastic trim where you have the wiper. Why would they mention that separately from a car wash and why 1500 for that? I can get a premium wash (exterior and interior) and level one polishing done for that rate.

3. Fuel tank cleaning
I havent seen any car service centre do this. Too many questions to ask.

This service center does sound fishy and suggest you to write to Hyundai sharing this list. Some of these items are just outrageous.

Re: Hyundai Creta : Official Review

Hi all. Booked Creta 1.5 Petrol manual. Can you please advise me on extended waranty and SoT for manual car? Car comes with 3 years extended warranty and should I opt for 4th and 5th year? Also, SoT says 5 years or 60Kms whichever comes first. Kindly advise.

Not manual but I own an automatic (IVT) and I would advise you to go for extended warranty as much as possible. When I purchased the car, there were options to chose complimentary warranty by Hyundai for 3/4/5 years with limited km. Since my running was not high, I chose 5 years 50k km warranty. I did not find much use of SoT so didn't opt for it.

Re: Hyundai Creta : Official Review

Thanks for all the advice and responses.
Now I feel good about refusing all of the items of service which I was not clear about.
No point in waging a war with a service center which I been visiting for the past ten years.
The SAs are polite and knowledgeable. I am sure that they have their targets to meet but we have to ensure that this does not happen at our cost or due to our ignorance.
BTW, I have never received a proper closure whenever I have tried to approach Hyundai directly, so not very keen on following that line.
