Also, how safe/unsafe is it to drive with such a whole in silencer?

I am currently not in town and my parents would be using the car. I am planning to get it welded, but that won't happen before 3 weeks from now.

On a side note, I never thought that such rusting could happen in Delhi within just 4.7 years.

Yes, faced the same issue with my 2017 Creta around 4 months back. Had to change the whole silencer housing.

Incidentally, this issue too occurred after I got the servicing done, a couple days after the service heard loud sounds from the silencer.

The silencer of my Tata car has also cracked recently. I never had cracks in my previous car which lasted for 8+ years. Does this indicate use of cheaper quality material in silencer that is causing silencers to crack in less than 5 years.

Does Hyundai cover silencer replacement under extended warranty?
If possible please share how much did it cost to replace the silencer at service center.

No idea about the extended warranty coverage, I got it changed from outside garage, costed Rs.4500.

I got it welded for 1200, been one month, seems ok for now. Service centre folks told me it would cost 10k for the replacement.

Re: Hyundai Creta : Official Review

Creta Diesel AT owners, I hope you all are doing well.

I want to ask you about the ATF ( automatic transmission fluid) of your car. Since Creta was launched in March 2020, I am hoping that there are many owners here whose cars would have Crossed the 60-70k km mark.

So how do you change your ATF in your car
Or
When you are planning to get it changed
Or
What are your opinions and thinking about it?

On my recent 25k service, out of curiosity, I asked SA about this ( as I am planning to change ATF once my car hits 70k km), and he said it is not necessary to change it. He also said they change it only if transmission gives jerks during inspection. I have asked 2-3 Hyundai ASS about ATF change till now and all make different different excuses.

I mean, why do they try to run away from ATF change even when a customer is ready to pay for it, and ASS will make a decent profit out of it. Are Hyundai mechanics so incompetent, and they are not sure that they can change the ATF smoothly without causing any trouble /fault in the car ?

After this conversation with 2-3 Hyundai dealers in Udaipur and Surat, I think when my car reaches the 70k km mark, I will have to shout and fight in ASS to make them agree to change ATF in my car; otherwise,, these guys will not budge.

Second thing, I will also stand next to my car during the ATF change because from their behaviour after listening about the ATF change, there is a possibility that these guys agree on face to change it, but in reality, they will return the car back without changing it.
