Generally rear door speakers are coaxial speakers while front door speakers are component speakers with separate tweeters and mid range units. This might be the reason for the difference in sound output.

With respect on speakers in Creta EX, S, SX models having non Bose speakers, the rear speakers have a relatively lower output level than the front units.

I was not talking about the Bose branding on the speaker grill. That is for sure has the Bose branding in Creta SX(O) (as well as for i20 Asta & Asta (O)) on all the doors. I was referring to the actual rear door speakers (visible if you remove the door pads).

If you see the video, the speaker grill for all the doors (for i20) has Bose branding but when the door pads were opened, only the front speakers had Bose branding printed/embossed on the actual speaker. The rear speakers are actually non-branded.

Re: Hyundai Creta : Official Review

Guys, the Android Auto app in my creta's headunit is not working. I mean I never used it before but last weekend on a trip I thought why not give it a try. I connected my phone using the Hyundai accessory USB cable
, which has type - C and type - B charging ports. The app icon on the headunit screen stays grayed out ( inactive ) . What am I doing wrong here ?
PS - My creta doesn't support wireless Android Auto.

This is just a charging cable and probably has its data pins left unused. Try using a normal cable that also supports data (USB A - Type C or USB A- Micro B).

A few things that might help:

1. Android auto works with the central USB-A port only which is located in between the 12V socket on the left and the illuminated fast charger USB-A port on the right.
2. Try changing the cable to a branded (Samsung/Mi/OnePlus) cable.
3. Try changing phone or rather brand of phone as well. My Mi phone failed to work initially and on diagnosis came to know that Mi has certain settings(second space, dual apps, etc) that hinder with Android Auto. I resolved them and it started working all right.
4. Try updating the Android Auto and associated apps on phone also.

Got a call from the SA on Saturday and he informed me that the car has just reached and is getting unloaded at the stockyard. Received the 19 digits VIN today and the car is manufactured in Aug 2021 so it's a freshly baked product.

I will be going for the PDI on 1st Sept and will be taking the delivery on 2nd Sept (touchwood).

Any specific recommendations for the things to look out for? I will be taking the TeamBHP PDI checklist for reference.

Will keep you all posted.

Re: Hyundai Creta : Official Review

I am planning to book 1.5L petrol S manual. However a lot of people have told me that the petrol engine feels somewhat underpowered and that it would be better to switch to diesel. My annual running is around 8k-9k km with 70 percent being city drives.
Would it be a wise option to switch to diesel or should I stick with petrol?

Your running does not require a diesel, but if you are unsure about petrol's power then take a good test drive of both and then decide.

If you're feathering the throttle you'll see anywhere between 10 to 12kmpl in city limits. Pin throttle you'll see 8 to 10kmpl especially if inclines are a lot in your commute. Shift below 2k rpm for best fuel efficiency and don't go higher than 3rd gear. Can coast a bit this way in 3rd or keep constant throttle pressure.

Highway on cruise control will return 17kmpl maximum.

Wouldn't recommend diesel for majority city use. The DPF warning lights keep popping up and you'll have to do Highway runs to clear it out or take it to ASC to sort it out. Its a headache in itself. Your low running doesn't warrant it.

Need some clarification. There are posts in another thread that the foreclosure or part payment terms in SBI are not that straightforward. If you foreclose, they make you pay additional amount such that you pay full interest as per original loan term. Also, if you part pay even then the total interest you pay does not come down. These things are confusing and not making sense to my stupid brain Hence want to hear first hand if this is how it is?

NEED HELP

I Booked 1.5 IVT SX in Feb'2021. The dealership has been promising delivery since July and postponing it every month.

I gave him an ultimatum @ a month back, to deliver the car as promised or cancel the booking.

Today he calls me and says that SX IVT production is stopped and there is no guarantee when it will be restarted, instead he is offering SX(O) IVT which he says can be made available and delivered by end of the month.

Is there any truth to the claim regarding the SX production? And secondly is it worth spending @ 1.5L+ for the SX(O)?

I need to confirm to him by tomorrow to get the vehicle per his commitment of end of the month.

I am in the same boat in Bangalore. Booked IVT SX in March and still waiting with no sign of any commitment. Though I haven't heard that SX IVT is stopped and SX(O) IVT is being delivered earlier. In fact, what I heard here in Bangalore is that SX(O) IVT is even higher waiting list. If your budget permits, you can go for SX(O) IVT for the extra safety and added features plus the joy of knowing that it is going to be delivered soon

Nobody knows what's happening with the IVT production. The semiconductor crisis has hit these two variants really badly.

The SX(O) certainly has some useful features like power-adjustable seats, ventilated seats, electrochromic IRVM, 6 airbags, Highline tyre pressure monitor, diamond-cut alloys etc. Whether these are worth 1.5L is an individual preference.
But if you don't have budget issues, then go for it because one thing is for sure that the demand for both SX and SX(O) IVT is way above the supply and the crisis is only going to get worse as the festive season approaches. Not to mention that prices across the car market keep on increasing and there is a high chance that Hyundai will hike prices in the upcoming months.

Be sure to firmly state to your dealer that he needs to give you the VIN of the allocated car by the end of the month or it's over. Also, be prepared to look at other cars like Seltos HTX IVT, Kushaq etc. if the dealer keeps defaulting on his promise.

Re: Hyundai Creta : Official Review

The mod potential for this car is just off the charts. This is claimed to be a socket-to-socket fitment for the rear wipers. Roughly assuming this whole setup will cost ~30,000 INR and is sure to get more folks into the showroom.

I highly doubt that any ultimatum would work on the dealer for IVT deliveries. Unless someone has a inside connection or is willing to agree to all the TnC of the dealer like buying their insurance, going for loan thru their tie up banks, opt for accessory pack/SoT/extend warranty etc. there is hardly any other lever a customer has to work with. High demand and semi-conductor shortage has made it worse.
