I'll click a snap of my 330i Sport plaque a little later but yes, I think it is 33 for all tyres with 2 adults. I tried 32/31 but the issue is that in Sport mode the front feels uncomfortably heavy in city traffic. Comfort mode is fine though.

Unfortunately, the M340i hasn't been available since they sold out batch 2 last year. And there seems to be no definite word from BMW on when the 3rd batch will be launched.

Also, the GC of the 340i is way lesser than the regular 3 series. I did a test drive and you will scrape the bottom quite often.

Re: Review: BMW 330i (G20)

Happy and a safe holi to all,

Wanted to ask fellow bhpians if there are any good deals currently on 330i sport or there are availability issues (chip shortage)?

Is it worth waiting for festive season/year end for good discounts?

Looking at Superb currently but heart is set on a 330i, so will be stretching finances and go for it but i would really like to get some good deal for it.

Any help and guidance would be much appreciated. (Will keep the car for at least 10 years if not more)

Regards

Just FYI there are some 340s available. I know someone who got one last week, and another dealer in Mumbai has a dravit grey for ready delivery. Next batch expected in May. Also these 340s are coming standard with the larger 19' wheels.

Yes current batch has the bigger wheels. But misses out on wireless charging. Id take the wheels over the charging any day of the week.

The 330i Sport has been axed currently due to the chip shortage & to maximize the margins from the M Sport & Li / Ld sales. Doesn't have any link with the M340i.

The 330i is a ready production model being shipped in SKD form to India. The M340i is a special production run executed biannually for India depending upon demand.

From a Atmanirbhar PoV, I believe both the 4-cylinder B48 (330i) & 6-cylinder B58 (340i) are made by Force India.

Do they allow one to book, both dealers in Bangalore or not keen on taking the booking for the Sport citing production discontinuation.

Re: Review: BMW 330i (G20)

Most likely the wrong place to post this, and given how unpredictable our world is right now, this may not even come true.

I was discussing my conundrum about the 330i vs the M340i with my Dad last night. Without even the slightest hesitation, he said "I don't know much about BMWs (he drove Mercs largely in his younger days) but I know the M models are very special, so you must definitely get the M340i"

Sometimes decisions are best made from the heart

Tried searching for the recommended air pressure sticker everywhere but could not find one. Then realised that the iDrive has it all. I chose my tyre size manually in the menu and it showed the recommended tyre pressure. Ditto as you suggested - 33 psi in all four tyres for R17.

Re: Review: BMW 330i (G20)

I have been looking for a second car to complement my X5 340i and was not able to choose between 330i vs 340i for some time but booked 330i today as got a decent discount on 330i and there was none on 340i which made the price difference substantial. Also 330i is in stock too and dealer has promised delivery before 1st. 340i best case delivery was August.

Dealer SA also told that Merc, Audi and BMW are increasing prices from April 1st. This will be BMW's third price hike in last one year.

Black and white colors were available so chose black color. Also dealer told that car has factory fitted black grill(instead of chrome) and smoked back lights!!
