Hi,

My friend has a Tata Safari XZ+ (bought in April 2021) with around 6000km on Odometer. Just before completing One year, the Clutch plate has worn out. That is really weird. The car was taken to the service station.

After full inspection the service center informed that the whole clutch assembly needs to be changed along with the Flywheel. They also informed that the clutch assembly will be replaced under the warranty but the Flywheel is not covered under warranty or the P2P and would cost somewhere between 60K to 70K . As per them, when the clutch got burnt, it damaged the flywheel, and if we don't change the flywheel there are chances that the new clutch would go bad again. And in that case, the second time clutch will not be covered in warranty or P2P.

He is considering the change of the clutch assembly, but not sure if the flywheel needs to be replaced within a year.
Here are few pics they have shared with him. If anyone can help us on deciding if it should be replaced or not and if resurfacing it would work as well (not sure if Auth. Service Stations would do that). Is there a way to check if the flywheel is still usable or not? Any kind of help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Here are the Pics:

The PR team should've proof-read the advertisement - properly! The Apple logo is flipped.

Would you look at that - the picture has been modified. Received an email from Tata - the promotional one featuring Safari and the Apple logo is now corrected. :)

Got the delivery of the White Safari last evening and here are a few initial observations:

1. Coming from Duster, i find the low speed steering not at all heavy. Didn't drive over 90 yet.
2. Decreasing the seat height slightly meant no real knee issue when using clutch

3. Armrest is definitely unusable.

4. Sound system on XT Plus is decent.

5. Side step for elders is must.

Thank you to the forum members for helping me finalise this awesome car. Here are a few pics

Hi, how was the experience with Detailing devils. They are asking for 25000 for 3 years warranty and 30k for 5 years. How much time did it take to get the job done. They mentioned 10 to 6 same day here in Chandigarh.

@All,
Thank you

It is not available for 7 seater Adventure Persona edition ( or for that matter with any Safari editions)

First row of 7 seater version of #Dark edition has ventilated seats.

Hello Friends,

Query: Do we have switch lights for multifunction levers (wiper & lights) in Safari?

Somehow My XZA does not have it.

Update after 5k kms on my XZA+ white safari

1. Driving has been a breeze, doesn't feel like it is a big bulky vehicle
2. Great road presence, still turns lot of heads
3. PPF from Carzspa is worth the money spent, not worried of stone chips or scratches from bushes (in my farm)
4. Faced a tyre burst issue (front tyre) while driving in a farm road (kacha road). Worked with Service center to get a replacement without charge, however got only 50% off of the sticker price of a new tyre. (Apparently lot more safari owners faced a similar issue and resolution was the same 50%)
5. Faced Audio issue the past week, out of the blue, audio stopped working, no apple car play or blue tooth interface. Raised a complaint with Service center. yet to get a response
6. Was advised by SC to go for a Promise to Pay plan, as it is beneficial. Considering as I have see in other forums, owners complaining of brake pad replacement as early as 10k
7. White interiors are pain to maintain with two toddlers
8. Bonnet mascot letters are falling off

Overall it is a mixed bag experience, I like the car, but I am also annoyed

There are no lights for the stalks. I don't think I have seen it in my previous cars as well.

All-New Tata Safari Turns 1, here is a glimpse of the journey so far as the legend completes 1 year of its iconic legacy.

I want to know whether Dark Edition 2022 model comes with wireless charging and ventilated seats. The Sales guys were confused and couldn’t confirm.

It comes with Ventilated seats but wireless charger is missing.

Quick question to all the safari owners who recently upgraded their infotainment system to the latest version (wirelss), have you faced hang issue with screen where volume button does not work and you have to disconnect and then connect again to resolve the same. I am facing this issue with the latest version and planning to lodge a complaint with tata about the same

Congratulations on the vehicle!
I am also planning to get ceramic coating done on my XUV 700 soon, I visited the Detailing Devils outlet in FBD to get a quote, and they are asking 35k for 5 years. Please share your review on quality of the coating and if it protects from minor marks and scratches. Has it become easier to remove dust, etc. after the coating? (I am especially tired of dust on my car)

If the number of people is not an issue, should one go for the 6-seater or the 7-seater version? I am wondering what the pros and cons of each version are..

I was in a similar delima and below is what made me finalise on 7 seater:
- Since i will be driving myself most of the time, so second row captain seats wont be much useful.
- Car becomes a 4 seater if third row is folded. With 7 seater, i still get to use it as a 5 seater.

Otherwise, the six seater, with those captain seats(now ventilated as well) are definitely good to have.

I suggest you take a test drive of both to see which one you like. All the best!
