| ![]() So here's the difference between Harrier and Safari variant wise:-
The Automatics-
The difference of 1 lakh was expected. Glad that TATA didn't go too greedy with the pricing of Safari. Now I only hope that this is a really sorted out product straight from the factory. Abhishek. |

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() Just what the doctor had ordered! Very good pricing, considering MG charges a similar premium of 80k for the Hector Plus. Such pricing might lead to cannibalizing of sales between Harrier and Safari but no one should be complaining as all the sales remain within family. Keeping the tacky name aside, the 'blacked-out' edition is a very nice addition for anyone looking for black interiors. A small premium to pay for those interiors. ![]() |

| ![]() Competent pricing by Tata. Why no XT automatic, while providing XM automatic. So for those who want more features than XM, need to spend 3L plus to get an XZ automatic. May be they want to push the top end automatic sales. |

| ![]() Rough Price Comparison between the Diesel Variants of Safari and the Hector Plus. The prices looks pretty close except for the top model. This product should sell. ![]() |

| ![]() These are good prices for a 7-seater. I believe rather than introductory, these prices should be the standard prices for Safari. A short comparison of trim-wise Safari and Harrier Ex-Showroom prices: ![]() (Price Source for Harrier: Cardekho) This might be too far fetched a thought, but if Tata doesn't have any upcoming car between the Nexon and Harrier, the Harrier needs to go down by at-least Rs. 1,00,000/- per trim for: - Harrier and Safari to safely co-exist without cannibalization - Taking on the Korean twins, which practically have had free run so far - Future readiness against the upcoming 7 Seater Creta/Alacazar Last edited by museycal : 22nd February 2021 at 12:39. |

| ![]() Good pricing, glorious "Reclaim your life" film. Oh and the Adventure Persona variants look brutal! Did we know about them until now? Either way, congratulations to TML, looks like a great product at a good price. ![]() |

| ![]() Great pricing by Tata! But anyway, I will wait for the product to mature over a year or two and then sign the cheque. Tata products get better with more time in production. The Sumo, previous-gen Safari, Vista/Zest/Bolt were almost infallible right before they were pulled off the market. Quote:

| ![]() Considering VFM, I think the pricing is spot on. Good job Tata. Good looker too. However I wish they had retained the "tall boy" look of the original Safari which made it stand out. Nowadays everyone seems to be sporting the same flowing curves. Ah well. I guess one can't have everything. |

| ![]() Attaching the variant wise feature distribution from the official Tata website. I find the XMA to be quite VFM. Covers most of the basic features and is not much more expensive than the equivalent Harrier. But I must say, I would have liked a few more colour options. Red with black would have looked smashing. Also noticed that 6 airbags are only offered XZ onwards. ![]() Last edited by Sanidhya mukund : 22nd February 2021 at 12:32. |

| ![]() Great pricing by Tata. The price difference is easily justified. But why is the adventure edition coming in that light weird blue colour? Black accent and black alloys would look lovely with white/grey/black exterior paint scheme. There’s no logic to it. It’s not like it has AWD and Tata wants to make it standout by giving it a unique exterior colour. It’s cosmetic. It wouldn’t cost them anything to provide the adventure edition in other appropriate colours. It also has beige coloured seats, lol. Adventure edition should have darker colour seats, shouldn’t they? |

| ![]() Very good pricing IMO. I was sitting on fence and was assuming at-least 1.5 lacs increase over Harrier. This pricing has solved my dilemma and I am going ahead with XZA+ booking considering the additional features + 2 usable third row seats. Also, this pricing means between Harrier & Safari there is something for everyone. The 1.35 lacs premium for XZ is also justified as Safari XZ is has many features which Harrier is either missing or has in XZA+ |

| ![]() There is a new safari ad coinciding with the launch and this one seems to have shot and written with the safari in mind unlike the previous one which looked like something written for the gravitas I loved this ad personally and the adventure edition looks amazing |
