Not sure if it is a generic nationwide agreement with VW and Citroen or this particular dealer plans on opening a seperate Citroen showroom here.
Doubt this is any nationwide partnership - must be the latter. This may simply be a case of the same family / group / dealer holding both dealerships in that city.

For instance in Pune, BU Bhandari has the dealership for VW, Triumph and Ather. Athers are regularly offered for test rides outside the VW / Triumph showrooms at Baner.

Re: Citroen C5 Aircross Review

Today, I was told by a Pune dealer representative that the OTR price would be in the range of 35- 38 lakh. If this is true, then one more name in the flop (capable) car at launch mainly due to pricing.

Re: Citroen C5 Aircross Review

Any information on whether the Navigation directions can be configured in the MID? Overseas it's possible, but did not see any information on the same for the Indian models.

Re: Citroen C5 Aircross Review

I was told by the SA during the test drive that it can’t be configured. But then he could be wrong.

Overall I liked the car. Steady acceleration, good braking and a sorted ride. The progressive hydraulic suspension really works. I booked the car, but I am now having second thoughts. Reasons being:

1. Low dealer and service footprint

2. Low availability of the top-end trim. The SA was telling me that the majority of the bookings at his dealership was the shine variant and the initial stock available was the lower trim feel variant. A simple research of the Indian market will tell you that customers always prefer the top variant. Especially for 30+ Lakh cars. If you got this wrong, then what else did you get wrong?

3. The 35+ Lakh rumored price.

My worry is that if eventually this car is a failure and say sells less than 500 units, I don’t want to spend so much money to be a test case on how not to sell cars in this market.

At 31.90L ex-showroom for the top-end variant, this thing is not moving.

Re: Citroen C5 Aircross Review

I don't see much of these selling, that is a very high asking price for a new brand who are looking to set shop. These prices suddenly make Jeep compass looks decently priced.

Tata should be happy, I see very few reason to pick this over the safari or the harrier.

Re: Citroen C5 Aircross Review

Not sure on the price. This is targeting the Skoda/VW range cars (which I prefer). The car seems competent from the reviews and the Comfort factor is huge but at 35L (atleast) on road, it goes into the Fortuner/Endeavour/Kodiaq field instead of the Compass/Tucson range. If priced near the Compass, it did seem a better and spacious/comfortable product (though I prefer Compass' looks), but it isnt going to affect Compass much.

All I can say I am so glad I picked up one of the last few Tiguan Allspaces. A far superior car - and I got mine for less than the price of the Feel variant.

Am not surprised by the pricing though - the real shock would have been if this had come in close to the Compass.

Re: Citroen C5 Aircross Review

This will be approximately 39.5 lakhs on road in Bangalore for the Shine variant. I am so glad that I didn't wait for it.

Re: Citroen C5 Aircross Review

There goes my French dreams down the drain

The variants are overpriced by atleast 4-5L

I hope VW is not watching this and prices the Tiguan sensibly!
