Thanks, will do a check again. I was told all sold-out. The reason for not booking was my OCD for Black. Now that isn't even an option in upcoming lots (confirmed by BMW people), I will look for a grey one.

Really? All the calls I received told me to wait, none told me about bookings are open. will ring them up again.

The next production lot is expected in September as per the Chennai dealership, and will be available in 3 colours- Black, Grey and Tanzanite Blue.

Re: BMW M340i xDrive Review

I just came across this video of an M340i being enjoyed to the hilt in Malaysia. I'm sharing it here just in case anyone's wondering what the car feels like around the twisties.

The fun starts at 3:49 (I've added the time stamp to the link below).

Cheers!

Trivandrum dealer told me that they are taking booking now (not online) and a possible black colour coming and delivery as you stated in by September. Anyone else booked via dealer?

I am told possible beige as interior, not my preference though. Your cousin's card delivery on track?

Just an update, they took my booking today.

Online booking also might start very soon. Delivery potentially by Aug. I am told 50 cars in this lot.

Opted for Grey, if black isn't coming (very unlikely to have black though).

Thanks for the reviews Akshay and Karan

So will the next batch get the mild hybrid tech ?
I heard the 2021 models get the 48volt battery
Paired to the petrol engine.

Re: BMW M340i xDrive Review

I was seriously considering the M340i but a part of me is wondering if waiting for X3 M40i would make more sense, just for the added practicality of better ground clearance without compromising too much on the fun to drive aspect (I know SUVs vs Sedans has been previously discussed on previous threads (Should you buy an SUV? The definitive Sedan vs SUV debate) but wanted to get an opinion for this specific scenario). Also any whispers about when will the X3 M40i be launched?
