Did you manage to get 1.7L discount? I didn't get any discount at all.

i haven't booked yet. When i asked about discount, the Sales person informed me about the discount

Did you get your car? Got to know from the dealer that the newer ones do not have the Wireless charging feature due to chip shortage. :disappointed

Yes, got the car almost two weeks back. It is everything I had hoped for. Simply amazing to drive. The information shared by the dealer is correct, my car does not have the wireless charger. Honestly, if i had to lose one feature to the chip shortage, I am ok losing the wireless charger, will not miss it. It would be fairly simple to retrofit it at a later stage. Any update on when you can expect your car?

Got an update last night from the dealer. Finally the car has arrived.. will get delivery next week. And surprising it does come equipped with Wireless charger.. Got lucky!:cool:

Need help folks.

Went for a PDI today and found Odometer reading of 127 KMs. Should I be worried about it? As per the logistics department, car was received with 112 reading.. balance clocked during transport.

Awaiting explanation from the plant/dealer's end.

Update:

Received this email from BMW:

We have checked again with the plant and the VDC, the car has only been driven for technical reasons and testing within our plant. We assure you that the car is new and no commercial/outdoor running has been done.

The dealer says it's run on dyno for some tests and is absolutely normal as they have delivered similar cars with 200+ KMs.

Inspite of all the clarifications, I'm not very much convinced. If I put my foot down, they will offer me a replacement but not in the same colour. I will have to keep myself open to other colours. :disappointed

Any inputs will help.

The sales guy is saying 4 months waiting time and it's because of demand. How long do they take to deliver? 4months seems pretty long.

I read the article and seems like a balanced view and does not feel like it's written by some crazy fan like me of this engine.

Completely concur with the writer's view on the engine (especially how it feels like 100 horses more than what it says on paper and usage of cream instead of oil in engine analogy..LOL)

Because of these aforementioned reasons, for the first time in my car owning history (13+ brand new cars), a thought came to my mind that this car is for keeps.

Normally, I am a forward looking person and will move on to my next play. but, this car and engine has left one heck of an impression on me. Love to drive hard and touch 100mph (Unknowingly) every time I am behind the wheel for a few seconds during a passing maneuver on the freeway. It just blows my mind how fast it touches that number and have to hastily back up once the realization dawns.

I have never grinned so much behind a steering wheel in my life. And, this is not one time, it's each time and every time I sit behind the wheel.

This engine not only puts some fear in me due to it's relentless power but, also thrills me to the core.:loveit

I don't think they have a timeline as to when they are getting. At least in Hyderabad, they aren't taking any orders.
