What’s the concern? I’ve done wiring for my Wolfbox dashcam by myself and except for a longer wire to reach the rear windscreen of the Fortuner, didn’t face any other issue.

Routing the wires through A and B panels. How to do it without affecting the airbags operations ?.

Did you have to buy a longer wire ?

Re: 2021 Toyota Fortuner Legender & Facelift Review

Team, what’s the average consumption of adblue fluid in the bs6 diesel?

I got my first warning for adblue low at 5500kms

Message on MID said range 2399. But it depleted much faster.
2021 Toyota Fortuner Legender & Facelift Review-img_3440.jpeg
Did 630kms after that and range fell to 1569.

That’s almost 2x the consumption. Is this normal? My regens have been perfect. Happens religiously at around 350 kms. Car is highway driven only. No problems with soot deposition. Just wondering what the AdBlue consumption is like.

Go for the Toyota dual dashcam. No one can disconnect it. It also does parking monitoring. I’m quite happy with it. My Honda has 70mai which is more user friendly though. (App based).

Yes, I had to buy a longer wire as the standard length falls short.

As for the routing, front roof to A pillar to the floor and then running it through the floor all the way back to the back pillar and upwards to the rear roof and finally on the rear windscreen.

It is normal. Don't go by the distance written in the MID. It varies based on driving. Adblue filling services are available in almost all petrol pumps now. I fill it as soon as I get this warning.

Re: 2021 Toyota Fortuner Legender & Facelift Review

I typically reverse park my car into my garage, which has a slight uphill incline. I used to experience minor wheel spin when first starting. Now, I engage 4-High (H4) when reversing (even though I don't think it's necessary, I enjoy doing it). However, when I disengage H4 and return to 2-High (H2) after parking, I hear a subtle mechanical sound. Is this a normal occurrence? Our other vehicle, Jeep Compass has an automatic 4WD system that seamlessly switches between H2 and H4 without any audible cues

Hi Shashi, that is normal and sometimes it is an audible clunk noise of the transfer case is-engaging. Happens with my Fortuner too, and I have a similar parking approach in my house.

The switching part of the themes section works. The car is not with me right now for me to shoot a video of it in action but you can take my word for it. One more thing I wanted to clarify, there was slicing of wire only for one thing, that is showing the current track on the MID's music section. Nothing else, it was a simple one.
Hey Ravi,
Just wanted to update. Yesterday I ordered the Head unit from Clarity Car Audio. Out of nowhere my dad came home from Patna, said he was very frustrated as he had to divert his attention to his phone constantly for navigation and hence he asked me to order the Head unit immediately. This is a win win situation for me, as I have a wireless CarPlay adapter for my Alto which I will shift to fortuner now. Coming to the wire slicing, Yash said that it is completely optional, also that he has done it on over 60 cars so I convinced dad to get it done as recently a mouse chewed up a wire hence it doesn't matter now if another wire is sliced.

Also, the headunit costs Rs. 26,500 instead of the old Rs. 24,800. Just giving an update on this. Costed us Rs. 27,500 after shipping to Prayagraj.

Thanks and Regards.

I will share details of this when I get the installation completed.
I got the installation of Aozoom FLP 2040 projectors completed a couple of weeks back. As I had explained before, I did an intermediate wiring harness to tap the high-beam signal. The light output is awesome now, and I am able to drive in the night with confidence.

I have documented the installation in detail in my ownership thread in the link below.

https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/test-...ml#post5916141

Below is the video showing the comparison between the existing headlights and the projectors, and also a drive in the night through some village roads.

I would like to thank everyone who provided lots of inputs on the performance of these projectors in the Fortuner and installation details etc.

Re: 2021 Toyota Fortuner Legender & Facelift Review

I was planning to get few accessories such as armrest organizer, sunshades and bonnet struts from Lazada or aliexpress. E.g. Lazada. Is there a local distributor usually for such parts or do you guys order it online via aliexpress or other Ecommerce websites.

If budget is not an issue you can contact CCS Car Accessories Hyderabad. They import OEM Toyota bonnet struts from Thailand compatiable with fortuner.

I have contacted CCS Hyderabad and the OEM struts would cost about 18 thousand INR. OEM 360 degree camera can be retrofitted from the Australian model but no one has done it in India yet.

Thanks for the cost. Thats a bit too steep. Also not sure why these are not even an option in India. When asked at the dealership, they said the 360 might be available shortly, sadly the shortly never arrived after 2+ years
