What is the average distance covered by a full tank of Adblue?
My first Adblue warning came at 4600kms. It said 2500 kms left and I filled at home. The dealership filled Adblue again at 10200 km during the 10k service without any warning. I got the warning again at 15800km yesterday and filled at home.

So looks similar. The only grief, is its not really 2500kms, and could depend on the driving style. Since from 2500 it dropped to less than 793 within 500 kms.

Re: 2021 Toyota Fortuner Legender & Facelift Review

I'm thinking of buying a new Fortuner Legender 4x4 for some road trips (like Spiti, Central and North east India).

I was keen on a AWD/4WD Petrol automatic, but Kodiaq is the only viable option (happy to pick one if sportline is readily available anywhere). I was waiting for 2023 BMW X1 xDrive M Sport, but that is not coming anytime soon (if at all). So, Legender 4x4 AT diesel is the next best pick. The car will be used solely for long drives and outstation trips.

I intend to add up to 10K KMS in 6-10 months and then sell it off (not a diesel fan). How long is the typical wait for new car allotment? Does Toyota allow pan India purchase? Anyone know of available Legender 4x4 AT in stock?

You are better off with a used 2018/19 4x4 AT. No possibilities of DPF issues high altitude(though Toyota now does a customized setting) and lesser depreciation too. Given you are keeping it for short duration, I am sure lack of features/lower power is not going to be a deal breaker.

Hi, my first adblue refill was at 4800kms, after that i have used STP injector cleaner at 10k kms and STP Dpf cleaner at 11k on the odo, just refilled ad blue at 13 k on tbe odo. Regen comes on at 3-4 bars between 200-270 kms, am running on IOCL xtragreen diesel, daily run is in the city approx 100 kms.

Injector cleaner at 10k? Was something wrong? Considering your daily running your car must be under OEM warranty.

Same with DPF cleaner, What is the actual use of this? Isn’t DEF supposed to self clean with required heat?

Regarding xtragreen, is it suitable for newer engines? I mean manufacturers mention in manual to use normal diesel. Won’t this effect newer engines as it contains 7% bio-diesel?

What is the average distance covered by a full tank of Adblue? The reason Im asking is I was around 4K+ kms when I got the first alert. It was during my trip from Chennai to Coimbatore which is around 500 kms. While approaching caoimbatore it started giving final ultimatum stating it the vehicle will stop in 793 and decrementing too fast !! So parked it aside and topped with 5 liters and drove to the Shell and filled the rest.

So how is the mileage for others driving the diesel Fortuner ?
It's been 6 months now since I took delivery of my Fortuner 4x2 AT and till date after covering 6000 kms I haven't got Adblue refill warning. I would also like to add that I have been getting around 12-13 kmpl in the city and 14-15 kmpl on the highways.

Thats a bit surprising, is it diesel ? In which case its a strech in terms of consumption, since mine is around 3-4 months and right now is 5000 kms with 1 refill.

The answer to the first question is, as a rule of thumb i have used injector cleaner in all my diesel vehicles at 10k kms interval.

Regarding the DPF cleaner, its the first time i used it, will only know how effective it is over the long run. No one has any clue as to how capable is the DPF regen in removing all deposits. Also with a few people reporting issues in there vehicles in this thread, I felt, better to be safe rather then sorry.

Regarding Xtragreen you are mistaken, its regular diesel with additives, there is no bio diesel blend in it. The moniker "Xtragreen" is coined as Indian oil claims the product to be less polluting and more fuel efficent then products offered by HPCL, BPCL.

Cheers

Yes it is a diesel and I have been regularly filling it up with normal diesel from Indian Oil pump near my residence.

Then those are good numbers both the mileage and the adblue consumption!

XtraGreen is available both as biodiesel blend and non blended. Depending on availability at Plant from which retail outlet gets it's supply.
When ordering online you can see all the options available from Indian Oil not just available at your nearest plant.

Is that a screenshot of the IOCL dealer portal? Will check for delhi Dro and see what option comes up here, usually even for MS (Petrol) they only say MS but you can either get Gasohol (ethanol blend) or regular MS, depending on what is supplied from the Depot. Thanks for correcting me, will check again and see what pops up for delhi. As i am 110% sure that bunk gets unblended, but still will check again.

Cheers
