Slightly off topic: I just came across this post, and I disagree with Mr. Mahindra here. I wouldn't call us Indians as car-crazy; rather, the majority of us are value-crazy, feature-crazy, and size-crazy (bigger the better, of course), which naturally translates into heavy demand for automobiles that pack all three, like the XUV700 :) .

Will be a very cheap tactic if this is true. The dealer as well as a lady from Mahindra's call center had assured us that there will be no problem/priority issues while booking online.
It is showing a variety of errors on every device, sometimes it is incorrect OTP, while sometimes it is protecting the site from a online attack!
Well, it is 2021 and they still cannot make a website work.
Did a single member on this forum get a confirmed booking? Got attached error.

I too feel the same. There was a lot of work dealers have done to this stage and played a part in getting the right inputs to manufacturing units. Pre-booking list was quite big BTW. I have seen the pile even of yellow files even a week ago !
I suggest to get the booking done from dealer as the webpage is not responding at all.
I just got an sms on my booking. I think dealer was able to place the order. Not able to confirm yet as I am unable to track anything as the tracking page also crashes :)
It's been 30 minutes now.. Isn't Anand Mahindra tweeting on this achievement?

There was legitimate assurance that the playing field will be equal for all; just to clamp down on shady dealer practices. If they've deliberately done this to enable dealers to have first preference in entering their bookings, this serves as a tight slap on our faces, as we have been sincerely waiting our chance to book online. Also, none of the dealers I spoke to in Mumbai accepted offline bookings and quoted Mahindra diktat of strictly following online booking process.
If after all the tall claims of transparency and proactive customer service, one has to go back and approach the dealer, it'll be a shame. There's slim chances any of us folks will get included in the first 25k bookings if done through dealers now; surely the dealers have cornered majority bookings from bigwigs and people with influence and access. :Frustrati
Mahindra, next time you're launching an in-house flagship product,
spend atleast 10% of the product testing time to build a proper website and server.

I messaged the manager at the dealership and he was kind enough to say that order will be placed for you.

Well, Seems like my booking is done. Still keeping my fingers crossed. :)

Just got an email from Mahindra saying "Congratulations on the booking" with the model and variant details with the dealers email signature. Doesn't have any booking ID though.
Think my dealer was able to process my booking, hope its under 25k.
