Even i called the number, the executive confirmed with all the booking details. But he said that the delivery date is not yet updated for my booking. He said that not all dates are confirmed and since my booking was done on Oct 7 and also PET, he said it will mostly be before Jan 14th.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

How to avoid DPF related issues..is fast driving and clocking 1000+ km every month avoiding short trip is the way to avoid OR anything else we can do. Like right fuel(Shell maybe) or any good AbBlue brand or changing driving habits.
I am new to diesel engine and booked AX7 DLS

To sum it up, the interior is a let down.

The interiors are a let down and that is why while booking I upgraded to AX7, however the Alloys look better in this variant IMO.

Entry level AX5 and entry level AX7 has more than 3L difference on road in Bangalore. AX7 gets you a lot of kit for that 3L including 2 additional seats which is also why Majority of the bookings are for the top models.

Once the initial excitement is over, you need models that look pretty much the same from outside but 10L cheaper to buy - So there you have it.

One thing you could consider is tweeting to SVP (Siddharth Vinayak Patankar) of CnB. He recently drove the 2 petrol XUVs to Umling La. If he responds, he might share what fuel consumption their team noticed, during the drive. (which will of course, be a mix of driving through small parts of cities and largely highways).

Same

I had booked online as soon as website started working. Oh well on the upside, subsequent production cycles should sort out some of the initial issues that ram87pune mentioned and we'll have enough time to gauge initial feedback.

I think Dec 10th is a magic date - expected to keep shifting Or all folks who booked AWD AT AX7 L D have got the batch coming out at the same date - heard few others also stating the same date!

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Got the delivery date for my AX7 Petrol AT Midnight Black to be Jan 10th, through Mahindra Customer Care number 1800 209 6006. Other modes / numbers didn't connect to a person for me. I had booked from India Garage Whitefield on 7th. I had an OTF Number with '22E'. I got an SMS soon after the call too.

It's kind of bittersweet; I will not have the new car for my year-end plans but hopefully get a vehicle with less niggles!

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Looks like no delivery commited dates for those who booked the MX variant! I booked the MX Petrol for a family member within the first 35 minutes of the web booking opening on Oct 7th, yet have not been allocated a delivery date. I have checked with the dealer multiple times but he has not received anything either. No surprises here, the MX is probably a loss-leader variant, present mostly on paper with only tiny volumes (if any at all) produced, just to justify the 11.99 lakh launch headlines!

Mahindra has gone on record stating that they will leverage third party consulting firm to prioritize bookings. My guess would be that they will like to sell high end variants early on to maximize the profit and that could mean a larger wait times for MX variants.

I also had same question couple of weeks back. Sharing whatever I understand as of now based on various forum discussions and service advisors.

One suggestion is to drive at more than 60 kmph speed for 30 mins. Another is not to use start/stop method for shorter commutes in city traffic and keep the engine running. In addition, there is self regeneration option provided in most of the BS6 diesel vehicles where you have to wait for 30 minutes for engine to do the cleanup once self regeneration is kicked off.

All said, I would expect Mahindra to come up with comprehensive SOP for DPF issues with XUV 700 considering there will be significant numbers of first time owner of diesel vehicle.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Got a call from dealer today. He said I will get the vehicle on 12th November. I pre-booked with dealer in July.

Surprise is with my friend's vehicle. Both of us booked AX7 petrol automatic. But he booked it after 8th (he kept in cart though on 7th).

He got a call and they said he will get it next week. I told him to confirm once more.
