If you can verify it from Mahindra itself through email then nothing like it. You can also see the odo of the TD vehicles presently being used at the dealership, if one of them shows very less KMs it can indicate recent replacement. There was also a vehicle tracking option shared by a fellow member earlier which can be very useful. Visiting the stockyard is a must, preferably with a friend or a motor expert may be to lookout for any tell tale signs of prior use. Maybe fellow members can guide you more on any other precautions. There is also a dedicated thread for PDI checklist if I am not wrong.
Mahindra is focusing on its service and adopting a customer centric approach, I doubt whether they can do this at company level. Chances are it is a fresh vehicle.
Did you book it at introductory price or revised one?

I have gone through the same ordeal. In my case, I waited after my payment failed. For 5 days there was no update. The call center and the dealer were clueless. I constantly checked with my bank and they kept confirming that my money has gone to Mahindra. Finally, after 5 days Mahindra started showing my payment and confirmed my booking.

I suggest you be in touch with your bank. In case Mahindra has deducted money twice, they will adjust during delivery. But still try to get clarity.

Nope, it was about 7k which had prompted me to look for off market alternatives!

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

On a different note, how does the XUV700 stack up against the new Tiguan?
The number of features in the XUV make the Tiguan look extremely overpriced. Even the power figures of the petrol XUV is slightly higher. They come very close in terms of dynamics too. The XUV also has the size advantage. The only upper hand for the Tiguan seems to be the DSG transmission.

But today got a call from the dealer that the car is available immediately. He said it's because of cancellations...whether I should pick it up or give it a miss?
The TD and Display vehicles were majority AX7L variants. So, the dealer might not be trying to pull any wool over your eyes in this case. Also, seeing a lot of cases where people with delivery dates in first half of 2022 have already received or are in the process of receiving deliveries at the moment. You should insist on PDI at the stockyard and take ample photos/videos during the inspection. Also, take someone along with you. Another set of eyes always helps. Do not, I repeat, do not give the dealer a single penny till you have undertaken a successful PDI.

Well, looks like someone in the Mahindra team finally realised that better and cheaper alternatives were already available on Amazon!

Incidental charges are blatantly illegal as per Supreme Court orders. All dealer costs are already covered in the ex-showroom price of your vehicle. Dealerships are just waiting for gullible customers to push these charges. I'm not sure why you are being overly generous with them, considering the amount is not a negligible one. Kotak and Tata AIG are both good for insurance.

Since continuous video recording is available only on the Luxury Pack variants, there is no provision for the memory card to be installed in AX7.
