AX7L (exclusive):

Deletions:-
AX7L MT:
- Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go functions.
1.Adaptive cruise control was always limited to only AT variants of AX7 and AX7L. MT variants never had it.
2.And between the above two, Stop and go feature was only in AX7L (requires EPB was what I was told).

Exception : AWD AX7 AT (non L) comes with EPB but I am not sure if stop and go feature comes by default along with it. I have this variant and need to verify.

Is this applicable for the upcoming and new bookings or is it applicable retroactively? If it's the latter then all those who have booked earlier say in 2021 and early 2022 can get together for a class action lawsuit in consumer court.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Going to get my AX7L D AT AWD next week and all excited about it.

Wanted your opinion if I should go for Madindra accessories or get them installed from outside. Accessories considered are
Mud Flap - 800
7D Mats - 9995
Rain Visor - 4980
Sidesteps - 22995
Sunshades - 1710
Total - 40480

Or to get all these from local car accessories shop?

I got the mudflap at 700 and sidestep at 22700, took delivery in July.
You can also opt for the screen guard at 700 from Mahindra.

Rest should be purchased from outside at almost half the cost.
Do check the accesorory prices from m2all and request the dealer to waive off the labour charges, if any.

Hi congratulations for the car. You'll love driving even more after this

Regarding the accessories..

Sunshades, rain visors and mats are strictly not to be taken from Mahindra.

Add screen guard if possible in your list.
Mud flaps are a must but sidesteps should be decided upon after physically checking Mahindra and after market options

All the best

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Big thanks to Goutham S for sharing!

Mahindra has sent out yet another critical recall alert to all service centers for replacement of the alternator belt & auto tensioner.

They have also initiated a call for flashing the ESCL (Electronic Steering Column Lock).

These are showing for AWDs again. Not clear if this is specific to them or to all XUV7OOs in general.

I feel like this has become a trend lately. If the marketing team deems it even a bit of a risk launching a new, innovative product, they launch it at a reasonable price, fully loaded with features. Once it takes off, they start deleting features and then the price hikes kick in which happen incrementally every couple months.

Wonder if Mahindra's PR team is going to advertise this as per their usual format:

Check out Anand Mahindra's hilarious action against customers exploiting Mahindra's generosity; deletes crucial features from XUV700, wins the internet.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

I bought 4th and 5th year warranty from Mahindra dealer. In WYH app,My Shield warranty package is showing till 2027 but my RSA is showing till 2025 only. Doesn't RSA also extend when we buy 4th and 5th year Warranty ?

I am quite sure it does not. They are two separate products and services. But because with the initial purchase of the vehicle both are included for the first 3 years, we may tend to assume that they come as a package.

Cheers!

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

If we take the case of LED Sequential turn indicators, it moved from under AX5 column to under Luxury pack column. So it's quite clear that this feature has been deleted from AX5 and AX7 trims. Mahindra was anyway not able to provide them at the time of deliveries (and was promising as a free addition later). So it seems to add up.

However, the status of following is not clear from comparison of new and old brochures. I couldn't find them listed under any column. So if they are deleted from MX / AX3, starting which variant will they be available? It seems unlikely that they would have been removed entirely from XUV 700. Some of these features (rear wiper, rear defogger, real parking sensors, driver seat height adjust) can't be entirely missing from the car itself, right?

Yes, even i am wondering this. In last few years like ABS and dual air bags, rear parking sensor was made mandatory. Its part of AIS standards needed to obtain the type approval for homologation.

The LED sequential turn indicators are the ones in the rear or are we going to loose out the ones in the front as well.

RSA for 4th and 5th year has to be purchased seperately.
Atleast I have been charged extra 3020 for that.

All OEM's are removing two of the sensors. And retaining two only.
Previously, i.e. prior to 2020 Feb, OEM's used 4 parking sensors at the rear. Two at the rear bumper extremeties and two spread out at the centre of the rear bumper.
Nowadays its only two, halfway between rear bumper extremeties and centreline of rear bumper with recalibrated sweep angles.
You save money on two parking sensors and that extra bit of wiring!

Check it out; Mahindra, Tata etc, etc : all doing the same
