Music playback and other commands are working fine though.

Anyone else faced this issue?
I'm facing similar issue, where Alexa works selectively. When I had set it up a couple of weeks back, it worked for all commands. Subsequently, the only thing I changed was to activate my personal profile on Adrenox instead of the default guest profile. I have noticed post that, Alexa doesn't recognise commands for AC or temp adjustments (same message as you mentioned), however, commands for play music or sunroof control work fine.
Shall explore a bit more and update here.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

I had some questions/observations regarding the infortainment screen, android auto and zoom meeting.

Yesterday I was taking a zoom meeting on my android phone and got into the car and started the engine. The infortainment system started and to my surprise I saw the zoom controls (I definitely saw the "disconnect" button; not sure of the others) on the infortainment system and voice on the car speakers. But after 2 seconds Android auto started (the zoom controls had gone) and started playing the music from spotify. I paused spotify and went back to infortainment home screen. But I was neither able to find the zoom controls nor able to hear the zoom voice on the car speakers.

With Spotify paused, I disconnected from the zoom meeting on my phone and rejoined the meeting. Now I was able to hear the zoom voice on the car speakers but no zoom controls on the infortainmnent screen.

My questions are:
1. How to get the zoom controls on the infortainment screen?
2. Is there a zoom app/interface either on android auto or the default mahindra infortainment system with which I can start meetings directly from there instead of starting on phone and then handing it over to the car system?

I will do some more experiments like not starting android auto automatically and/or not playing music automatically when connected to android auto and update here.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Guys, I am an XUV500 owner since 2013; booked the 700 AX7L D AWD AT (phew!) variant with Pothens, Kollam in November 2021 and my status for the last 3 months is "Vehicle manufactured". Arranged a loan of 26L ready for disbursement from ICICI bank and this was informed the dealer officially. No money has been transferred anyway.

Today morning wifey called the dealership and they told her that "no cars are available from the factory, all models are undergoing BS4 to BS6 upgradation".

I understand the BS6 level 2 is about to kick in by April 2023. Let us ignore the BS4 talk from the abovementioned, (they're certainly not aware that she's a TBHPian-wifey ), but is the rest of it true? MM is not shipping cars for an entire month? What to do?

Frankly this is good news. This means the OBD2 upgrade is going on which will include additional upgrades as well. Most of the car and bike manufacturers are including additional goodies. For the XUV700, ventilated seats, removal of football in the boot, maybe powered tailgate, electro-chromic IRVM. Better wireless connectivity(Although the reported problems have now reduced). Also I've heard that the suspension might get a rejig. Maybe a darker interior upholstery. List goes on and on. But then for a loaded mile muncher, nothing comes close to the XUV700 as of now.

Well, other than the BS6-related upgrade - which is mandatory - the dealer has mentioned nothing else at all. One can't blindly say MM will include additional kit for sure; I won't. Take a look at the Thar 2021 and 2022. The latter has lost several: 1 or 2 USB ports gone as well as colors, bumper garnish with galvanized look gone, and most importantly the lumbar support, gone!

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Guys

My eSim stopped working a few days back (in a 3 wk old car). Used to work fine earlier - but now, the car icon and signal bar are grayed out.

Any fixes that can be attempted without a service center visit?

Please advise.

TIA

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

I really don't know why they have tie up with Vodafone. It is so pathetic in terms of coverage. It is high time Mahindra considers Jio or Airtel as its partner.

All this hype about being a connected car can only exist, if proper network coverage is there, which sad to say is a pipe dream with Vodafone.

There was a suggestion here (Mahindra XUV700 Review) that recovered an eSIM. Hope this helps you.

Yes, I can confirm this is true. My brother had booked XUV300 Turbosport which was supposed to get delivered on 3rd Mar but the dealership called on Monday and informed that Mahindra has paused production for all cars due to emissions related upgrades and now the car is expected with an indefinite delay.

Luckily I got my 700 (exact same model as yours) yesterday after waiting for more than 14 months I booked on 25th Dec 2021.

Congratulations and that is quite some wait, my friend got it in 10 months but he booked during the first day or so.

AWD is certainly worth it, one can be completely careless with the A- pedal and it will sort itself out.

Thank you and yes some wait indeed. I'll definitely remember this one for life. But as it's been said so many times here, one look at it and all the pain was in the past. As they say "sabr ka fal meetha"

That was my logic too while booking. Now I don't need to think twice before taking it out anywhere.

I checked it today. I had logged in using my account when I got my car in Dec 2021. I logged out, deleted the device from Amazon and relogged in. Everything including sunroof is working fine. I suspect Mahindra has not set up some of the device IDs and probably they are logging in using a test account. Try asking Alexa 'who am I?'; hopefully it doesn't give SA's name. I would also recommend writing to customer care.

I had faced fuel in canister issue twice, and the fuel tank was replaced along with canister and GVV vent pipes with t-block in last April. So, my car was not in this recall list. Yesterday I ran into the issue again. I had parked the car for around 7 hrs with some 56L fuel in the tank. Car switched off when I took it out, and could feel the tell-tale drop in power and jerkiness. ASC was prompt. They found the canister heavier, and replaced canister and GVV blocking connection. I hadn't overfilled the tank. So, it doesn't appear that the issue is permanently resolved while it didn't resurface for 10 months.

Also, I have started feeling a slight vibration under the left foot at the dead pedal and some muffled rubbing sound when I am turning the steering in sharp angles. Any guess on what might be wrong?

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

You can try disconnecting the battery for couple of mins and reconnect again and it should work until you are lucky to have Vodofone signal in the area.

Hi Sridhar - what exactly is this "service mode" - under which sub menu is this available?
