So sometime in the morning, when I was on way to the SVC, I got a call from someone at Mahindra's social media team who had apparently seen my post here. He wanted to understand my problem and after hearing me out he asked me to take my car to the SVC and that he would escalate my case to the concerned team.

On reaching there, i was attended to swiftly by my SA and they opened up the front bumper to reveal that two wiring harnesses had suffered rodent damage. They looked up the part nos on their system but apparently neither of them were available locally and one wasn't available anywhere.

Around this time, I got a call from the local Customer Care Manager at Mahindra. I told him about the issue and the non availability of parts and he assured me that he would escalate the case to HO for parts arrangement.

Then they connected their laptop to the car to check for other issues and error coded but there were none.

So after a long 5hrs, even though I returned back with the car in same condition, I was still impressed with the proactive and helpful approach from both Mahindra as well as the SVC. Let's hope they arrange the parts asap.

As a precaution, I have decided not to drive the car till the parts are replaced.

Following the recommendation in the forum in earlier posts, I had told them that I will go for payment only after PDI. They did oblige and arrange the vehicle at the showroom. Not that I was an expert to verify the vehicle but could note down the Engine Number, Tyres, Meter reading (It was just 15KM, to cover the distance from Yard to showroom probably). The vehicle was in untouched condition. I am confident that same car will come since SA said, the engine number will match the invoice.

Insurance, they brought it down to 71K. Reading the previous owners experience I did not want to take a chance and hence went with dealer's insurance as they came very close.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

I have an XUV 7OO AWD purchased in March 2022. The car has done close to 21K KM till date. I am hearing rattling noise from both the front windows since a long time now. I have been raising the issue with the MASS but everytime they open the door pad and tighten a few nuts. The rattles silent for a few days but come back again.
I was in a MS Ciaz yesterday and noticed how silent the windows are.
Any pointers on what can be done here.

I had this problem in driver side window, but only while the window glass was being rolled up, so not sure if it’s the same problem as yours. Initially they tried a few simple solutions to resolve but the problem kept reoccurring. Eventually they diagnosed it to be an issue with the motor and told that the entire component needs to be replaced. They said it’s not covered in warranty but still replaced it entirely free of cost based on good faith relationship between customer and the dealer.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Hello all, I recently watched this video review of XUV700 AX7L where at the 1:16 - 1:22 mark, the 360 camera feed is displayed and it seems to be very smooth, like it's displaying at 30fps or more. However, in our XUV700 AX7L, the video feed is super slow and feels like it's playing at 15fps or lower.

The YouTube video is playing at 30fps though so maybe it's because of that? Can anyone confirm whether their camera video feed is also laggy? If so, have you tried to ask Mahindra about the issue or is it something that you've accepted and tried to live with?

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Guys, has anyone got front parking sensors installed on their XUV 700? I want them but not sure if that is recommended or not. Can anyone please help here. If someone has them installed already, please share the details.

I'm on the same boat here. Want to get either front parking sensors or a front camera installed (preferably OEM). If anyone has done this, it would be great to know the details.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Just checked out the XUV700 at Shireesh Silk board today. The wait times are just mind boggling. Really amazed that they still cannot sort out the production in tune with the demand.

AX7 has a waiting period of 8-9months and AX5 has a 4-5 month waiting period. Is this in line with folks getting delivery now?

Make sure you have good Vi network coverage. Alexa configuration will work then.

Congratulations.
Just out of curiosity, which model did you book? Why did it take so long to get it delivered?

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Anyone aware on how to get rid of first service alert? I got my first service done at 800km. And now it has run 1200+ still the light is on. i called service center, they said... "it will go on its own". Its been 200km it hasn't really gone and I am sure they have no clue about it.

Press the enter key on your steering before you start the car. Keep the enter key pressed till the boot animation shows up and then release. That's what I was advised to do after my 20,000km service. The service alert was gone after doing that.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Dear BHPians,

I need advice on the correct wire gauge to use for a DIY 12V multi-socket plug accessory extension for my XUV700.

Please take note, that nothing within the vehicle would be interfered with, and this modification would only be made to the accessory.

We are aware that the XUV700 only has one 12v lighter socket in the boot or third row.

I intend to purchase Riggear (Riggear Ventilated Seat Covers Review - Is it an alternative to Ventilated Seats?)as advised by the BHPians or any other Ventilated Seat Addon that requires a 12v Socket.

I bought INICIO 154w 12v Good Quality Multisocket accessory (shown below) in order to extend 12v Socket to the front row. However, because the cable is just 1 meter long, it cannot safely reach even the second row.

To make the Multisocket reach the front row, I am going to DIY open it and append 2 meters of the proper gauge wire between the plug and the main box.

A 15Amp Fuse is also installed in the 154w Multisocket Main Box.

What would be the appropriate wire AWG for this use?

Thanks!
