Thank you Manoj. I will go with Zulaikha for service as it's close to my new residence at nolambur.

They have sales as well, just that on the Mahindra website they aren't listed under Chennai, but only appear when city is changed to Ambattur. Will that impact road taxes or any other downside of going with Zulaikha?

Please forgive my ignorance. The last time I bought a car was 10 years ago.

Has anyone taken a recent delivery of XUV 700? Cars manufactured in which month are being delivered?

I am getting a diesel one and don't think that there will be any problem whatsoever in the 5-6 yrs timeframe. There will plenty of challenges before govt can completely ban. Even at the places where it is current restricted, it is only for 10yr old vehicles, so 5-6 yrs is no problem at all.

I will answer myself, in case someone else gets the same doubt. Today, I did saw an XUV 7OO in showroom with 3D mats and indeed they don't cover the full floor below the driver and passenger seats i.e. they aren't deep enough and sitting at rear seat, I could easily extend my feet beyond its bucket boundary. So, would be going for 7D mats only.

Are you going for a Diesel MT or AT. Also, any idea if the car already comes with basic mats from factory or do they have to be purchased separately?

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

If any of the long term XUV 700 owners can help with this query, it'd be very helpful. How has the Apple Carplay experience been for you so far? Is it stable in terms of connection strength or does it disconnect often. Does the phone heat up faster than normal when connected to wireless carplay. How smooth is the touch response and user interface on the infotainment screen when using carplay. Is there a significant difference in user experience between wired carplay and wireless carplay in the XUV 700?

Thank you in advance!

I am going for a Diesel AT AX7L. There are no mats whatsoever from factory. You will have to buy one yourself. Mahindra genuine accessories offers few choices of basic mats (I think they call it designer mats), 3D mats and 7D mats. But, there should be many aftermarket solutions too. This is one accessory that is a must and you would want it fitted at the time of delivery itself, I guess.

It would have been great if teambhp offered some solution for getting a rough idea of what accessories people are buying and of what type, some kind of a poll where people can just indicate what they bought. This would greatly help new buyers to quickly find a consolidated list at one place of available accessories and also the variants in each. For now, you have to go through the various previous posts to know the choices made by previous buyers and why.

Fastag doesn’t come out without getting damaged. I didn’t have a dash cam fixed on my windshield so I am not very sure about that. Just ensure you mention to the person attending your car to be careful in removing the windshield as in my case there was slight damage to my cars dashboard near the glass while removing the damaged glass. Also check for glue and sticker residue on the glass before taking the delivery.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

I remember reading that first few batches of XUV700 had thud noise coming from front suspension.
I heard ”thud” sound when I took test drive recently of AX7L Petrol automatic. The car had 20k on the odometer but was running on temporary registration only. The SA indicated the car is only 1 year old, so manufacturing would be around June-July of 2023.

Is the suspension issue sorted in 2024 XUV?
Has anyone got to see Burnt Sienna color from real life XUV? Burnt Sienna looks like shade of brown. At times Burnt Sienna looks very close Mystic Copper shade that was available on XUV500

My 'go to' resource for removing things "stuck" is GOO GONE. Get it with the brilliant pry tool. Amazing!

Haven’t heard / felt anything extraordinary in 1 month of running my car over Rural Bengaluru’s non-existent roads.
I must repeat - Suspension (along with Engine and Transmission) are this car’s strong points.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

I'm facing some issues with my 8 months old XUV700 AX7 DMT. It started Yesterday (July 27,2024) around 7 PM while I was coming back home from a mall and suddenly the AC started blowing hot air from the driver side vent but it was throwing normal cool air from the passenger side vents (Note the Dual AC button was off). I have tried to adjust the temperature using AC control knob, and suddenly all the AC control switches stopped working with just the Auto AC button blinking nonstop. However i'm able to control all the AC functions from the touch screen.
I stopped the vehicle on the side of the road and when I pressed the engine turnoff button, it took around 5-10 seconds to turn off the engine. I have slowly driven back home which was just a 10-minute drive and once i reached my parking and when I pressed the engine stop button the car wont turn off. It took almost 5 mins for the engine to turn off. All the instrument clusters and other electronics turned off immediately after pressing the engine stop button but the engine kept running.

I contacted Mahindra customer service and my call was immediately diverted to India Garage Whitefield. The service advisor suggested to try again after keeping the engine shut down for at least 4-5 hours and if the issue persists to bring the vehicle to the service center on Monday. So I have tried again in the morning after 8 hours interval but none of the AC control panel buttons are working and Auto AC button keeps blinkning nonstop. However the engine is getting turned off normally when the engine stop button is pressed. I would like to know if anyone ever faced similar issues with the car?

I took delivery in July 1st week, and was delivered an April manufactured unit. The unit came from Mahindra's plant directly and, was not sitting in dealer's stock yard (as told by the dealer, who I found trust worthy).

Wireless carplay is pretty smooth and convenient. I've not had any hanging or disconnection issues till now, but then I've hardly driven the vehicle so will wait a bit before giving a verdict. The best part is that I search a destination in my iphone, and the xuv display pops up asking if I would like to navigate to that destination - pretty convenient. The phone heats up quite a bit when using wireless charging. In fact, yesterday my phone stopped charging any further with a prompt that charging is on hold due to high temperature. I haven't tried the wired carplay yet, so can't comment on that.

A similar sort of issue was reported by a user in the Scorpio-N thread where the car was not turning off on pressing the Start-Stop Button. You could check that as well if that's of any help.
