Thank you! But this is painful. In my old XUV500, i was able to disable it once and have never turned it back on. On my way from the showroom, i restarted the car and was trying to make a turn and it switched off, on an incline I had to stop to allow a two wheeler cutting though and it switched off... I don't know why this would be useful in most city conditions. I think Mahindra should link it to the drive mode and maybe enable this only for the zap mode or something like that. Turning it off each time we start seems like a major irritant!!

Congratulations on your new steed AX7 L automatic.

I have also felt that auto start stop is very aggressive. Auto start stop, stopped the test drive car in 3-4 seconds after I came to a stop twice during my test drive.

When auto start stop has stopped the engine, then you have to remember not to disable it as the car will not start. You have to move gear from "D" to "P" or "N", press brake and then push start button.

Small trick, next time just turn the steering a little bit in clock and anti-clock direction one or two times and the car will start. This works on my AX7L AWD AT. This helps mainly when car is stopped on a slope.

Thats a pleasant surprise. Wish I had this experience. I wanted the vehicle before Ganapti Visrajan ( I booked early sept) Have been waiting and now in coming week would get the delivery ( Vehicle allotted and reached dealer's stockyard)

Or you can check if this has a dedicated fuse and pull it out to permanently disable the feature.

This is just a thought and my 2022 XUV does not have this feature - so not very sure if this will work.

I own both the XUV and Safari(has its own share of software issues too)

When you buy these new generation and vastly improved Mahindra and Tata cars you should be prepared for minor issues and software glitches every now and then.

But the joy you get everytime you take these cars out on the road makes you forget everything else. The experience and driving pleasure these cars provide can cant be matched by other cars in the segment.

Went to the Mahindra showroom yesterday to TD the Roxx as I had pre-booked one on October 3. Ended up falling for the XUV700 instead. Two issues keeping me at bay at the moment-

1. Continued electronic niggles even after 3 years.
2. No official water wading capacity figures.

The closest I could find was a screenshot from the user manual. As per which, water wading capacity is no more than ~200mm. Can existing owners confirm their experiences?

I have owned XUV 500 and XUV700 since their initial launch, I personally have had practically no niggles. But I read in these columns that Mahindra is very proactive and fast in sorting things out. Their engines and engineering of the vehicle is good.

If you really don't have to go off road XUV700 should be the choice. Other than that it is a matter of personal choice and feel good factor.

Balpreet, cannot comment for Mumbai but in Bangalore side step in after market is 12-15K depending on design vs. 25K for the Mahindra accessory. SImilarly Mahindra rear bumper guard is 6-7.5K range depending on metal or ABS, same thing in after market is 5-6K range.

Hi team, Finally took delivery on Saturday from M M Motors, Selaiyur, Chennai. Vehicle is awesome, riding it is a joy and my family love it.

I took napoli black color and planning for a matt ppf finish. Got sidestep and bumper as accessories.
Planning to install dashcam, mats in next couple of days.
