Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Read some posts on a XUV700 group on Facebook regarding many users receiving notification about an OTA software update on their Adrenox mobile app.

I have neither received this notification, nor the previous OTA update which popped-up on the vehicle infotainment system.

I just received a notification but couldn't find more details.
Anyone who have updated, what's the version numbers you see in engineering menu?

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Even I have received a notification in the Adrenox mobile app but when I opened it, it doesn't show anything in the app. I've updated my vehicle to 10.35.21 from 10.27.61 almost 3 weeks back. Mine is AX7L AWD. I checked for an update in the vehicle also, but didn't find any. Might be a bug in Adrenox or a late communication. Please check the notification section in your vehicle infotainment system. You may see the update there.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Recieved the same notification on the Adrenox mobile app regarding the software update, but the infotainment system showed 'Up To Date'. OTA update came last month and the current software version is 10.35.22 (AX7). Before the update, it was 10.27.62. So yeah, this might just be glitch in the app or may be they're testing something.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Wondering if these OTA updates are being rolled-out to a select batch of vehicles. Mine is an AX7 Petrol AT (Dec 2021).

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Hello everyone. Can anyone help me installing the ICC (Intelli Controller) in my AX5 manual. I have found all the parts on boodmo but am clueless if any software flashing will be required to enable it. Any suggestions are welcome.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Hi all,

Wanted to highlight something. I got my XUV through first maintenance. I was charged 1000 rs for it. When I asked, they said these are standard charges and are for consumables. While getting the break up i noticed that they have charged 850 rs for engine coating. I never requested for it. When I pressed they said it was value add. I had it removed and did the service with 0 charges. Just wanted to let others know in case they are being charged for first maintenance, which is supposed to be free. Be cautious. This happened at Iyyapanthangal Chennai service station.

Thanks

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Hello all.

The wireless charging on 700 as we all know is pretty useless. Not only charging is hyper slow but also the mobile heats up too much. That much heating of phone is not all good for the phone which may increase the chances of hardware/display failure or in the least a battery failure.

I may have found a partial solution to the problem which I will explain below.

The charging bay of the phone has a thick flexible rubber mat. This is in addition to the plastic cover above the wireless charger located underneath. Refer to the photographs.

So there is a huge gap between the charger surface and the charging loop inside the phone. I think this is causing the charging problem. Ideally the distance should be not more than a couple of mm.

We can easily remove the rubber mat by pulling it out while holding at the edges. Now try charging the phone by placing phone directly on the plastic surface. I have found lot of improvement in charging speed and the heating also appears to be much less.

Please try and let me know whether it works for you too.

Actually I wanted to see whether charger can be replaced but now I think problem is not with the charger but how it is integrated in the dash. Anyway replacing the charger with our own might lead to warranty issues.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Not sure if this has already been shared:
In Australia, XUV gets Black interiors with the Napoli Black exterior colour. Here, only Blaze edition gets black interiors, albeit with red inserts

IMO, they should launch this in India too

I also like black or dark factory fitted seat covers in my cars as it is easier to maintain with small kid in my family.

The black interiors look very bland in this image without any detailing. The black interiors with wine inserts on the Blaze look better than completely black interior with no details. All black seat with contrasting inserts or contrasting stitches and some subtle pattern on the back make them look better and classy.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Spoke to Koncept Mahindra Noida for XUV700 external PDI, and they told me it is not allowed. On asking the reason, the said that the internal system get corrupted because of connecting an external device
Additionally, I was told by the PDI guy that panels are mostly found repainted and meters are tampered because of which some large dealerships won't allow you to do test these things.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

So for some reason, the rear Type C charging port in my car has stopped working and as per a short conversation with SA, it is not covered in warranty. Has anyone else faced the same? Is there any solution except changing the whole assembly by paying out of wallet?

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Hi 7OO co-owners,
Recently when I went for my 3rd service, during routine brake pad inspection, I noticed that the left front tyre was rubbing the felt pad used in inner wheel well and causing deterioration of the felt material. The technicians told it was due to wheel alignment issues. Forgot to snap a picture. Most of us wouldn't notice this unless you have got into service bay (well I have trust issues with Eram motors due to hacky and quirky style job execution causing damages to look and finish) or are doing the wheel balancing from outside 3rd party. To my surprise, this same issue was observed on 2 other 7OOs on the lift (out of 5 in service), on same location (front left wheel well felt pad, inner bottom side, near A piller)
Would this be a common issue going un-noticed? I have been adjusting wheel alignment every 5K - 7k kms, with slight modification only once.

I am not sure if you will have the required cables running to the console. And you might require help modifying the infotainment to accept the signals from ICC, as it's mainly used for navigating through menus in ICC or volume control. Do you see a choice to toggle this control option on the infotainment screen settings?

Before any work starts, always verify you get the work order completed and send to you via email, Mahindra for you or official Whatsapp message and approve or question them based on it, including washing. Any additional work done is not falling under M&M purview and is to be charged separately. Also, those must be mentioned in the work order slip the give you. You can challenge if they push anything and charge you later.

Interesting, will check it out. It's a common issue with any wireless charging pad, if the distance between coils is more, it would cause slow charging and bad heat dissipation (like in case of phones with case). Ref: https://www.anker.com/blogs/chargers...work-with-case . Removing the mat, can reduce the space between coils, but wouldn't it cause the phone to slide out when driving through uneven roads?

It should be covered under warranty in normal circumstances. Any reason they quoted as to why is it happening, possible solution and why it's not covered under warranty? Is it due to wear and tear or abuse (someone sticking something inside the port or liquid damage or port is broken mechanically, rodent attack etc)?

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Finally booked Ax7 L AT D in the first few days of October. The dealer is Arnav automobiles (Modi Mahindra) - Thane / Maharashtra.

The dealer called and informed that the cars have come. They have shared the chasis number alloted to me. Will undergo the PDI tomorrow. Have Taken Zekardo's help for PDI. Not sure how the dealer will react to allowing the PDI at the showroom. I think the dealer told me that the PDI guy cant use any gadget on the car's computer.
Anyone has any experience on PDI done through Zekardo or any other?

I will update details of the PDI once its done.

Please guide as to what important factors to check before i register the car. Intend to do this within a week.

Also while adding accessories, which are a must have?
Friends that have added step ups, does the step up really help elders to climb up? I personally don't see much difference in the height.

Does the read guard add value in case, adventurous bikes /cars get too close in Mumbai bumper to bumper traffic?
