Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

My case will never be resolved. Nobody at Mahindra technical team is bothered to actually investigate what is wrong and how to fix it. The dealer is obviously incapable of diagnosing the issue and has already closed the complaint.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Hi All - looked up this thread and other sites, but do could not get a solution for my query - so here goes.

In the Entertainment system, when I am listening to songs from USB, I can use the "Seek" button on the steering wheel to move across tracks. I have the habit of storing songs in multiple folders so I have some 20 odd folders, with MP3s in each folder. I am unable to find an easy way from the steering controls to move across Folders. There is ofcourse the long winded way on the central panel. Music --> USB --> Song screen and selectng the list icon in the right (3 dots) and then scrolling down through the list of Track / Album / Playlist . . and then select Folder which is the last in the list, but I find it too tedious.

Is there an easier way to toggle folders from the USB drive ?

I do not want to put all mp3s in the root folder, as I have more than 500 songs in the USB drive.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

My insurance renewal is around the corner. I wanted to check if any of you have any preferred insurance providers.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find a 2025 version of this team bhp thread : Preferred Car Insurance (The 2020 thread: Your preferred car insurance company & why). Would be great to have this yearly refreshed

1. I have a zero Dep Acko insurance currently. I have had a good experience with Acko wrt claims for my previous Hyundai vehicle. Unfortunately, Mahindra Sireesh Garages do not support cashless from Acko anymore, apparently.

2. I got a great quote from ICICI Lombard for Zero Dep Insurance. Again, no cashless claims at Sireesh. Their website lists Sireesh and India Garage! How is their claims process? If anyone has any experience with ICICI Lombard, please do share.

3. Would you recommend going with an insurance that doesn't have a cashless tie up with a garage? Would be great to know if there is any other recommendation. Will help folks like me, about to renew our insurance.

Thanks

Have you tried getting this diagnosed at any FNG?

Has Mahindra considered software being a culprit? But then if this was the case, it would be for most owners, but worth exploring if not done.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

I got home XUV700 AX7 Diesel AT couple of days back. XUV700 gets the name "Silver Eagle" based on the color and the mHawk engine.

I face one issue when using Google Maps for navigation. I am used to moving the map using my fingers on my existing car with Apple Car Play to see traffic congestion on the route ahead while waiting at a signal. I am unable to move the Google Maps using my fingers with Apple Car Play version that comes in XUV700. Has anyone faced this issue?

I have not visited any outside mechanic. Just going to keep replacing the battery every year. Have wasted 9 months on this. No more. Mahindra doesn't care.

Such a sad state of affairs with M&M - they are taking things lightly maybe with growing sales volume and no 2 position is only creating trouble. I think it's worth buying their shares than their cars at this moment.

Basis everything you have mentioned so far, I would recommend you to write to customer care and insist them to fix this - keep escalating and ask them to come home and fix it instead of making those countless visits to the ASC. Buying a new battery every year is not really needed - the problem should be easy to locate for them - after all they call themselves inventor/ manufacturer of the same car!

This is a classic problem with the shoddy Apple Carplay integration done by Mahindra in the infotainment system. I have been following up with the ASC regarding this annoyance during every visit, but the reply remains the same, in absence of any central fix to be released by the Mahindra tech team.

Moving the map with fingers comes as a natural gesture rather than using the "4" arrows. Then I have to live with it. Mahindra thinks people should use inbuilt Mappls maps more and not invest in fixing CarPlay integration.

Hi AKG, can you please reach out to me via DM. I might be able to help and can also help you escalate to Sandeepji if required. if we find a solution we can report back on the group. BUT you might not have your car for a couple of days while me and my mechanic diagnose the issue.

whatsapp 09811099349 along with your RC and your part requirement they will reply, if they have in stock happy to collect and ship it to you.

alternatively call up Bhargava Motors and see if they have the part.

They have not replied yet. mahindra service said 20k for one light.

one seller from indiamart (Aone auto sales) said 10k but not sure trustable or not.

We use both Android Auto (My phone) and Apple Car play (Better half's phone).
You can move the google map with fingers when connected via Android Auto. However, you cannot do it for Apple Car play. We've also noticed few other issues when directions are shown by Google map on Apple car play.
So, I always prefer using Android Auto.

I'm not sure if this is Apple car play problem or due to Mahindra's integration with Apple car play.

Checked boodmo and the cost of light is Rs.19930 (link). So the 20k quoted seems correct and there may be some additional charges for fixing it. If you are getting anything subsctantially cheaper, I'm pretty sure it will not be OEM and may not last long, even beam pattern will suffer if it's not from a good company, my two cents.

Did you try Boodmo? They usually have the part numbers sorted by vehicle model and the associated variants.
