Can you mention the booking date and the variant?

Booking date was towards end of August. Ax7 Deisel Auto. Does that make a difference? Have you made a similar booking there?

I was curious to know the booking date as you seem to be getting an early delivery. I have booked a different variant (AWD) but have been given an estimated delivery month as September.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Someone out there trying to make a quick buck making use of the long timelines!

Person has put a very open ad as well justifying his price.

It's not AX7 for sure. Fabric seats, Manual HVAC, No steering mounted controls on right side of steering wheel. If this person is really selling a new XUV700 and IF someone who is not knowledgeable enough with the feature distribution across variants happens to buy this vehicle then this will be one of the funniest scam i could think off!!

Here is some more juicy info on the XUV700

5. An updated version of the XUV700 with more features such as auto dimming IRVM, powered tailgate and ventilated seats etc will be launched by the end of next year. We can also expect some variant rejig in this timeframe with Mahindra discontinuing some slow selling variants.

11. According to my sources post the second price increase around January 2022, there won't be any major price rise for the next 1.5 years atleast.

That's all for now. Stay tuned for more info.
Hi Ram,

I love your updates on XUV700. Keep them sharing

Any more news on the revised version in 2022?

Can we expect all black interiors? Something like Tata Harrier Dark Edition?

AWD in Petrol?

Regards,
Sam

Checked with the showroom when I took the delivery. They said it’s in progress and it will not take more than a month. My SA said it should be ready when I bring my car for the first service

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Hello bhpians.

Here's latest round of info on the XUV700.

1. According to my sources, the XUV700 has an inbuilt autolearn feature for the TPMS. So if you rotate the tyres, all you need to do is drive your XUV700 at speeds of around 40 kmph for approximately 10 minutes and you will get the corrected values in the app.

2. One of the reasons that Mahindra skipped on an auto dimming IRVM for the XUV700 is cost while the other reason is that there was some wiring issue as the camera for ADAS is situated exactly behind the IRVM on the front windscreen. But rest assured this feature is coming most likely by Diwali this year.

3. The hollow kind of noise emanating from the front suspension as reported by a few owners and media personnel is ironed out and cars produced from next month won't have this issue.

4. Similarly the brake noise issue reported by owners is ironed out from this months batch. For this Mahindra engineers have done some changes to the dimensions of the front brake pistons.

5. Mahindra has started field tests of ventilated seats. But launch of this feature is still likely to be by Diwali this year. Everything depends upon the chip shortage situation.

6. Mahindra is facing a revenue loss of around 40-45% on the XUV700 due to the chip shortage but according to my sources this situation is likely to vastly improve post August 2022.

7. According to my sources, all the TD and media XUV700s have better fit and finish of interior panels as compared to what the customers are getting. This is one of the tradeoffs of the huge waiting lists and mass production.

That's all for now. Stay tuned for more info.

This is very interesting. Neck and neck with the Toyota best seller. At last we have a nemesis for the Crysta. I am eagerly waiting for the Scorpio launch. I think that is where Fortuner will face its equal.

In many markets like South Africa and Australia, Mahindra is now slowly cultivating the reputation of being a cheaper alternative to Toyota. There are multiple reviews in youtube from owners from these countries about how Scorpio pickup is a good cheap alternative for Hilux and LC70 series.

Thanks sir

Your updates are something I always search for

Can you please tell us about the possibility of auto dimming ivrm retrofitting. This simple update is what I would like to do if it's possible easily without disturbing other wiring etc

Thanks in advance
