Apart from Apple Carplay, does anyone know what changed since 8.0? Trying to understand whether it is worth a visit before the annual service, which would be in December.

They don't publish changelogs, unfortunately. So we're basically left with trying to figure out what's new on our own -- Even the service center techies don't know much other than what we already are aware of.

But they are also flashing for various recalls tho. For example, mine had an AC-related recall and some cars have had steering related too. Get it updated at month's end as there are some more minor updates coming in after the customer's feedback with regards to CarPlay.

I had the opportunity to drive the 700 at midnight on the busy tirupati highway. You will have a problem with the glare coming form opposite side vehicles(mainly trucks). My height is 6.2 and the seating was adjusted accordingly. But still i had this problem although it is less compared to the sedans

Will do a PDI for sure to erase any red flags.
Booked Silver AX7L Diesel AT in August 2022 with delivery date of February 2024. Received a SMS this morning from Mahindra which mentioned "We can't wait to see you behind the wheel of your very own Mahindra XUV700" which I had disregarded considering it to be a generic bulk SMS. Was awestruck to see the update online just now that vehicle has been invoiced and delivery is now scheduled for November 2022. ScorpioN effect?

I remember someone joking if the recent price reduction of 6k was a precursor to an imminent hike. Can’t believe it was actually true. 25-35k increase for what? And we are looking at another hike when BS6 phase 2 kicks in. God help us.

Is this some kinda pre-increase tactic, people feel how generous of them to slash only to pay more later

haha so it finally happened. While the news was out about reduction, they were probably preparing for a hike

These days cars are not depreciating assets but an appreciating investments that you can use and still sell for a decent price thanks to the hikes, chip supply issues, and waiting periods.

Some time ago I was checking Fortuner prices and they kept going up in both the new and used market. Showroom price increases so does the used vehicle's value (the used vehicle dealer was happy with the showroom hikes..lol).

If I'm not mistaken those are the ex-showroom prices, which are the same throughout India.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Can anyone share their experience on how fast the status moves from “order under planning” to invoicing?

I booked my AX7 D AT AWD on sept 7 and saw the status updated to “order under planning” 2 days back. should I get excited or is it nothing to write home about?

Thanks for this. The SHIELD price for AX7L P is shown as Rs 21947. Is this for the 4th and 5th year warranty? I recently took delivery of my AX7L P from PPS Mahindra and was charged Rs. 41771. I had heard the shield prices had gone up from Aug 1 and hence did not bother to check. Hope I have not been cheated.

Edit: I just checked the With You Hamesha app and it shows my shield coverage till Sep 2027 (5 years). The invoice shows the price as 35399. Have messaged my SA asking why I was charged 41771. Looks like the 21947 price in Anant's price list is only for 4th year?

41,771 = 35,399 + 18% GST

This started since mid August that lot of bookings have been moved to this status. I was excited same as you. You can find August 15th onwards messages in this thread with few others equally excited posts. I have booking from February first week, the only thing that changed after this status update is that expected timeline moved at least 8 months early.

I think the AC is working little aggressively since the update but can’t say this with confidence though. I feel that the fan speed stays 1 or 2 units higher than what it used to be before the update.

Also the CarPlay is little buggy.

I accident pressed the src button on the steering wheel while CarPlay was on with music being played on it, I quickly changed audio source to CarPlay again but audio was already glitched by that time. Music was playing on CarPlay but could not hear anything. I Tried multiple things, changed the source to radio, tried the mute button, increased the volume but nothing helped. Everything else was working properly on the CarPlay so I gave up on troubleshooting. Later on the same journey I used the indicator and I could hear the indicator sound, I thought the audio is now fixed but when I looked at the CarPlay screen, it had already crashed

Also note that I am NOT able to replicate this, since that crash I have not faced any issues with CarPlay.

I am curious to see the fuel log from an diesel auto, just want to compare the total fuel cost between petrol and diesel at around 10000km.

Mine is petrol automatic and below is the status.
