On my opinion of the car; it still continues to look a bit weird as per me. | |

| ![]() I only have 3 words for this facelift- Dead on Arrival This an average product at a now-so-average selling segment. |

| ![]() Instead of wasting their efforts and resources into a dead 4m compact sedan segment, they could have spruced up the WRV inside out, given it a 1.5 CVT, even a diesel CVT if that mattered. It would have still sustained some sales. Seriously, Honda India is just closing the doors one by one on its future in the country. |

| ![]() Cousin in Mangalore was looking for a beater so I suggested he try the new Amaze. He had a TD of the Diesel CVT and was quite negative about the NVH (he used the word खटारा - jalopy - but he has a Q5, so perspective could be everything here). And then he was told that said variant would set him back 14 big ones. I think he's trying the Aura tomorrow. Last edited by Punatic : 26th August 2021 at 20:44. Reason: Added "jalopy" for "खटारा" |

Thank you so much, Kedar. It really helps me. Will give it a try again and see if it changes the perception. |

| ![]() The biggest downsides of Amaze/Brio and even Mobilio (I own one) are their ugly looks and thin seats. Not to forget that ugly dashboard that was later changed. Otherwise I think they tick the right boxes for most buyers. Apart from the looks I've been very happy with my Mobilio petrol(V). I think it does most things better than its competitors. |

| ![]() IMO, Amaze is a great value for money at this price point with top end petrol automatic for around 10 Lacs on-road. It is the only car with a 4 cylinder engine greater than 1 litre capacity and a smooth CVT gearbox. Rivals offer either a 3 cylinder 1 litre engine or jerky AMTs. |

| ![]() Its a really good looking car. Both front and rear has little traits of Accord and Civic. Removing the diesel CVT from mid spec car is a let down for some. |

| ![]() I test drove the Amaze CVT today. Some impressions: THE GOOD -- The car looks acceptable now, after the minor facelift. In dark colors it looks bigger that it actually is. -- The ample use of beige make the interiors look nice and airy. -- the dash layout is simple and elegant with everything where it should be. -- The boot is big, I think it's the best in class. -- With Baleno going the AMT way, i think this is the most VFM (if not cheapest) CVT in India now. -- CVT's very nice for sedate, city driving. It's not jerky or annoying like some AMTs. THE BAD -- White color makes it look like a cab. For some strange reason it is more expensive too in white. -- Touchscreen is responsive. But the rear camera is the worst i've seen in any car that I have tested in the last few days. -- Speakers are below average. -- Scores very low in bling factor. No sunroof, high end audio, etc. AND THE UGLY -- The front seats are a pain, esp if you are a big guy. They seriously lack under-thigh support and i found even lumbar support to be inadequate. Long drives will be a pain. -- With the world moving to SUVs, sedans need to offer something special in driving dynamics to draw customer. This one, sadly, doesn't. -- No cruise control in automatic.
