Re: Force Gurkha Review

Can anyone point me to the Official Ground Clearance specification on the Force Gurkha website. I don't see it there.

Plus from the image above that Neil posted, it doesn't look like 205mm as I have heard in the review videos.

Many who were dissing the 2020 Thar are still fence sitting and maybe waiting for the Jimney.
Although I very much love the existing 3 door, I am yet to see one in flesh, let alone get a TD, which I will be doing this weekend. Waiting for the 5 door before taking the plunge. Wish Force brings out an automatic.

Does this mean that if someone wants to lift or lower ( Why not? we can see pictures of lowered G Wagons online ) their Gurkha, they have the option to then fine tune the suspension geometry.

If it can cruise at 110 -20 that will be adequate.
Hi,

Sorry for the delayed response!

Yes it can most definitely cruise at 110-120 very comfortably.

Here is a highway video of my Explorer on the same, as I just did not get a clear or open highway long enough during my review to take the new version to that speed.

Re: Force Gurkha Review

Stumbled over a Youtube video where the Gurkha was towing an Isuzu from Kargil to Manali via Zanskar, very much impressed in the way the Gurkha was pulling the Isuzu through those treacherous terrain. Initial part of the video, one can see how effortlessly the gurkha was climbing those narrow passes, looked like piece of cake for the SUV.

Hi Trojan any chance you would know the exact Center Hub Diameter of the Gurkha? Is it 108.5 mm by any chance?

Could you find out the precise Center Hub Diameter in mm of the all new 2021 Gurkha through your contacts at Force Motors?

I would be deeply obliged!

The Alloy wheels i have sourced have a Center Bore (CB) of 110 mm. Just want to make sure there will be no fitment/safety issue.

Apologies in advance for potato quality editing. Here is a mash up of different conditions I drove the Gurkha on my recent trip.

I'm convinced your Gurkha will break the internet and the 'rudimentary' image of Gurkha 2021 that the Reviews have portrayed. I believe it will be one of the first 2021 Gurkhas with aftermarket wheel setups.

I saw some Mercedes G Wagon style Air Con vents with LED mood lighting meant for the new Thar on Instagram the other day.

Its one of those Karol Bagh mods. I think they will look great on the new Gurkha

Attaching a video for reference. The Lighting looks distracting and over the top for my taste, but then its a subjective thing, the vents look well built and at least look fantastic otherwise.

Re: Force Gurkha Review

Hi
Have been enjoying the contributions made by so many members on this thread
Finally got to test drive the Gurkha It was a city drive enlivened by rumblers and speed breakers . True to its pedigree, the Gurkha made me enjoy going over these as well as the potholes and rough patched up bits ! The view and driving position is the best and I liked this more than my Fortuner and previous generation Thar . The position and seating comfort seemed ideal for really long drives to anywhere The space and ambience are excellent especially shoulder and head room which is most essential for a touring vehicle Even the view from the rear view mirror out through the back glass is good and of course the panoramic side windows and the ORVMs make you feel as if the blind spots have been nullified
The look of the vehicle with the LED DRLs is impressive and makes you feel like owning such vehicle . I have taken a liking to the orange from the beginning and it will be the first experiment in owning a car with an unconventional colour! I used to only associate sports cars with such colours but I think it really suits the Gurkha
I managed to put one bicycle down the centre aisle with the front wheel removed and it fitted well I am thinking of either removing the arm rests to accommodate a second bicycle or removing one seat entirely so that 2 bicycles and luggage can be fitted in
The clutch and gearshifts are very light and easy to slot .There is certainly scope to increase the acceleration in each gear and one does feel the turbo lag till about 1800 rpm I did not test higher speeds but I think this will be adequate for most purposes and considering the strengths of this vehicle this is a compromise worth making
I quite like the interiors and feel that it suits the vehicle overall and apart from interesting add ons like a compass, altimeter and vehicle tilt indicator which are just fun things to enjoy I wouldn't really miss anything A fuel range indicator would have been good to have though
Overall I am excited and impressed and feel more certain of upgrading my 2011 Thar with the 2021 Force Gurkha Orange !
I had already booked the vehicle and so now plan to go ahead with the purchase

I was told there is no change from old Gurkha, but number shared was 107.5mm taking wheel with 108mm bore. You will need centering ring.

Now that we have an actual owner and not a journalist on a company-provided review car, would it be possible for your uncle to please park this next to a new Thar and do a proper size comparison from all four sides?

Thanks and cheers

Re: Force Gurkha Review

From Mysuru showroom. Test drive vehicle had a puncture. Not sure why they couldn't put the spare wheel and arrange test drive .

There was a Force company official present at showroom when I visited. Asked him about the spacer in wheel. He replied in negative.

Anyhow clicked few pics. Green is test drive car. Orange was getting readied for a customer.

Enjoy the pics

Would a Thar owner or Mahindra dealer allow that

Cheers,
