In monthly dealer allocations, he said he gets the details on whether the model is Manual or Auto AC
I'd suggest to check with other dealers if you want to go for Auto AC

Re: Volkswagen Virtus Review

Hi all, had a quick question. Years ago(2014 was the last buy, the Ecosport TDCI and a lot has changed since then. Hence the question) when we brought a new car, the first thing to do was hit 3M car care and get these 3 things done.
1. Paint Sealant treatment
2. Underbody rust protection
3. Door rust protection.

First will be taken care via ceramic or PPF. But is Underbody and door necessary? Just wanted to know if anyone has got it done. As VW is providing a 6 year warranty anyway.

VW paint is a hard paint, it doesn't scratch easily. For deep scratches, anyway the PPF or ceramic isn't going to help you.

Oddly enough, when leaving the showroom, the driver-side window stopped working. Restarted the car and it started working again, I ignored this for now and hope that nothing is wrong here - did anyone notice this problem? I then had to recalibrate it by keeping it pressed down when fully rolled down and then pulled up when fully rolled up for 3 - 5 seconds each before the auto down and auto up started working again.
I'm going to take delivery of my Virtus GT(Reflex Silver) this week and I'm curious what your take on a dash cam is ,since you have prior experience with the brand. This is my first time owning a VW and I'm very wary about the DSG issues having experienced them first hand with my friend's car(Polo GT) a couple of years ago.I have opted for extended warranty and I'm unsure if installation of a dashcam will void my warranty (I'm aware that this happens only when wiring is tampered with).I would prefer a clean installation without any visible cables/wires but I'm afraid this can't be achieved without tapping a wire, especially for the rear one. I'm willing to fork extra for the Blaupunkt VW accessory since it's OEM(although I would prefer something more modern and higher quality) and I believe they can do a clean installation.

Any insight/suggestions or prior experience narrative would be appreciated.

Thank you (This is my first post on the forum after recently becoming a member)

Have you checked the VIN already? When is the car manufactured?

I've got VIN that days manufactured in Sep, should I be worried?
It is for Highline AT, Silver

Thanks folks!

Welcome to the forum!

You might check the Slavia thread where some tweaks have been discussed, e.g.:

Also, would you mind sharing the price quote which you received?

I was told there are no year-end offers on the Virtus GT all discounts are only on the 1.0L variants,I got 4-year service package for free and I was quoted 22.85 on road in Andhra Pradesh.I feel I got lucky with road-tax,it was 14% in Dec 2021,17% now and 19% next year.

Re: Volkswagen Virtus Review

Can we not buy only mud flaps and mats as part of official accessories?
Bundled basic accessories is such a waste of money
VW 3D or 3D mats would be even better

Yes you can order.
Even I had the same opinion about bundled basic accessories kit when I bought my Taigun last month. Ordered mud flaps, 3D floor and boot mats from the dealership when I went for PDI (7th Nov). Accessories have not been received till date .

Gave up all hope on this Tuesday and got everything I needed from Karol bagh, Delhi.

Re: Volkswagen Virtus Review

Two queries from me:

1)Over the figures on the price breakup, my dealer is asking 2000 (1500 +500) for 'Reg charges and Fastag'.
Is this what others have paid extra for Registration? Please advise.
2) Is the 33k price worth for the items that will be considered as for 4+1 SVP? I am taking the 4yr SVP. The 4+1 covers Brake pads, Wipers and Battery (1 of each in 5th year) that sales advisor told should be around 22k so asked me to skip.

I think there shouldn't be any registration charges apart from the road tax, everything is done by them online, they are making money on the sale already.

It is the year end, try to get as many offers and deals you can get. Match the insurance price as well from outside. Just get the extended warranty, Service costs have already reduced by them, why to pay in advance for 4 years.
