My Car getting delivered around Feb month. I am trying to find some must to have accessories. Already few discussions around in this but not having clearly idea on whether it is must to have accessories.

Can you share your accessories list (from your usage) and which one someone should select?

Does it lead to warranty issues when trying to fit electrical accessories?

Get the installation done from an experienced person without touching the stock wires and you're good.

Alright, I will buy one of them and see how it turns out. Thanks for the advice, friend.

This is regarding the issues mentioned in the thread for the Innova Hycross hybrid system malfunction. It mainly happens if there is a floor mat installed that covers the battery cooling vents under the front seats.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

I took my Innova HyCross VX for an extended trip which went from Delhi to Chandigarh to Bir to Billing to Dharamshala to McLeodGanj and back to Delhi.

I did McLeodganj to Delhi non-stop for 11hr 15mins of driving with no-break or stoppage. Here are my highlights from the trip.

*Highlights*
1. Cumulative average of 17.6kmpl with two tank fills. Zero to full tank.
2. I did the last leg non-stop and when I parked the car at my house, I still had enough fuel to go to Agra and back.
3. The comfort is unparalleled. Near zero body-roll even whilst pulling tight corners.
4. Very easy to fit into tight spaces despite its size. We encountered a massive traffic jam whilst going uphill from Dharamshala to McLeodganj and we did some really tight spacing which the car did with ease. We even managed to do a U-Turn at one point in a narrow road where even the Dzire ahead of us had to take 4 back and forths while the Innova managed it in 3.
5. The hill-hold function is a dream. It works like a charm and is very useful, especially since we were stuck in an uphill traffic jam for over 2hrs.
6. The gears take time to move to lower ratios hence you have to accelerate before steep climbing turns to compensate for the sudden loss of speed.

*Lowlights*
1. The Apple Play JUST DOESNT WORK. WHY WONT TOYOTA FIX THIS? WHY TOYOTA WHY?
2. When you move from Park to Drive, the breaks make a weird sound. Not sure what it is, but it appears to be the electric parking brakes coming off.

I don’t have a floor mat covering the vents. I use the GFX mats. The error code was later found to be regarding loose auxiliary battery, but nothing was physically wrong. Now after about 3000 kms later, I haven’t had this issue again.

The Tiring Year Long Wait for an Innova Hycross ZX(O): My Ordeal with Globe Toyota Ludhiana.

Introduction

Buying a car is often a significant milestone, filled with excitement and anticipation. Unfortunately, for us, the experience turned into a year-long ordeal as I waited for my Innova Hycross ZX(O) Blackish Ageha from Globe Toyota Ludhiana.

The Anticipation and Commitment

On November 28, 2022, I was thrilled to choose Globe Toyota Ludhiana for my car purchase. Their reputation for quality and customer service seemed unbeatable. With high hopes, I made my choice, paid the deposit, and looked forward to the day I’d drive my new car home.

The Disheartening Reality

Days turned into weeks, weeks into months, and the months turned into a year, but my car was nowhere in sight. Despite the dealership's initial promise of timely delivery, I found myself in a never-ending cycle of anticipation and frustration.

The Elusive Delivery Date

The most infuriating part of this ordeal was the constantly changing delivery dates. I was repeatedly assured that the car would arrive soon, only to have my hopes dashed when that day came and went without any sign of my vehicle. I started receiving my car’s sequence number for delivery through the qristix link in the June of 2023. At first my sequence number was 17. The next month is dropped down to 16 and stayed the same for the next to months. Upon receiving the next update in September I was miraculously shifted back again to 17 and then 16 the next month. As of now, I am at sequence number 15. The latest update regarding the delivery from the dealership given to me is of February 2024.

Unanswered Calls and Emails

My attempts to seek clarity through phone calls and emails were met with silence or vague responses. It seemed as though my concerns and inquiries were being conveniently brushed aside. A lack of communication not only added to my frustration but also diminished my trust in the dealership.

Lost Trust and Broken Promises

Trust is the foundation of any customer-business relationship, and Globe Toyota’s inability to fulfill its promises shattered that trust. The car I had ordered with excitement was turning into a distant dream, and we were left with no choice but to consider alternatives.

Conclusion

My year-long ordeal for the Hycross is a stark reminder that businesses must uphold their commitments to their customers. While some delays are understandable, transparent communication and genuine customer service should never be compromised. My trust in Toyota’s ability to deliver on their promises has been irrevocably damaged, and I hope that sharing my experience will serve as a cautionary tale for those considering a purchase from this dealership.

duke, which cable you are using. I use MFI certified Belkin cable and never had issues with Car play in my VX.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

All, I am hoping to get delivery of my Hycross VX next month. Few questions:

- With regards to tyres, looking to stick with the OEM profile (215/60/17) however thinking of changing to either Michelin Primacy 4ST or Vrederstein Ultra Vorti. Any recommendation between these 2? Have never used either of these brands so far..
- Looking for seat covers since I have kids. Should I get the official Toyota ones and do they get pre installed in the factory itself? or better to get it done outside?
- On the insurance, dealer has promised to match quote whatever I manage to get outside. Any recommended means to get best possible deal online that I can show to my dealer?

Thanks

Did you communicate to Toyota as well? Many says it does not make any difference because they simply forward your mail back to dealership. It worked in my case though.

Copy paste your post to them, if you've not yet.

I have never had a problem with CarPlay, cabled or wireless. I agree with @pious_devil, use MFI or original apple cable.

The only gripe I have is that CarPlay is set to wired once you connect to wired CarPlay and you have to manually select wireless before the next ride if you want wireless CarPlay. The car should automatically search for wireless if no cable is connected.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

Hello,

Until now, I observe that Toyota has not introduced a roof top luggage carrier for the Innova Hycross as an official accessory. Would like to know the opinion of the members here:

1. How do you accommodate the luggage/bags of 7-8 people in a Hycross (assuming that Hycross will be used for carrying 7people on a 300-400kms drive) ?

2. Is anyone using or interested in using a roof mount luggage box/carrier?

3. Variants VX(O), ZX and ZX(O) has sun roof, does this mean that one cannot mount a luggage carrier on the roof?

7 people with 2-3 normal sized bags is doable, otherwise, you need to start adjusting. Fold one of the 3rd row seat to make space for more luggage.

I feel Hycross is more of a family car and a roof carrier doesn't go with the look. It's more of a 4-5 seater for long rides with luggage.

Sunroof variants may not allow a roof carrier. Third party manufactures already have a solution.

I've already mailed them three times and yes what they always do is forward it to the dealership and then I'm stuck in a loop of unanswered calls and no surity of the timeline again. I've been calling Toyota's helpline for the past three weeks now and they always say that they would escalate this issue to the upper management and that I would get a resolution. I still haven't heard from them yet.

I use an original Apple cable and it has frequent disconnections. This has been reported by several people on this thread with no resolution in sight.

More so, the Wireless Carplay is there only in the ZX version and not the VX.

I'm using the original Apple cable as well as have tried with the Belkin MiFi Certified cable as well.

My vehicle was possibly the first batch of HyCross' delivered in Delhi, so may they've solved the niggle somewhere? And I'm stuck with the lemon, hopefully they fix it with a software?
