Isnt the front seat airbags present at down side of the seat i.e at the leaver of the seat adjustment? That is where SRS Airbag is written/embossed. Please give your valuable opinion on the same.

The SRS Airbag label is indeed on the plastic part at the base of seat but not sure whether the Airbag itself is located there only.

The manual shows it on the seat only and has a warning about usage of seat covers obstructing that.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

Need some advice on choosing between VX(O) and ZX(O). Requirements are safety, comfort, prefer 8 seater but OK for 7 seater if value for money. Budget not a constraint. Any idea about sales data at variant level available? That may answer in a nut shell.

The question would depend on whether you are willing to wait since ZX(O) is still not available for booking (per my knowhow). You could book VX(O) and switch later but there would be a wait.

Value would be subjective, ZX(O) does offer safety features including ADAS. Value would depend on your views, comfort with and level of usage of these features.
Comfort wise, some members claim that VX(O) may be more comfortable due to the higher profile and the 17" alloys. However, I did not find ZX(O) uncomfortable by any stretch (in fact- is quite comfortable), so again that is a personal choice.

Dealer may provide 2023 stock which is in inventory or 2024 batch if cancelled by any customer since we're not specific about color.

Is ZX(O) has higher profile tyres? Are you aware of any sales data available variant level?

ZX(O) has 225/50R18 and thus only 112.5mm on the sidewall - very low profile. Not aware of sales data.

Fully agree - I was initially fairly skeptical about the 50 profile tyres - but having owned & driven it over 7000+ kms, I have no issues. It provides a very comfortable ride quality.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

Hi,

Has anyone done recent research on lighting upgrade options? This is proving to be a planning challenge in case any outstation journey stretches into late evening. The last we reviewed, there were no suitable options available.

Can anyone who recently got deliveries confirm on the quality of lights? Hoping against hope that some changes may have been done in which case service center would have options.

I read somewhere that one can go to the service center and change orientation/direction of the headlights and check the throw of the beams. Does anyone know what this implies and has anyone attempted asking this question at the service center?

Thanks

If your Hycross has foglights, you can replace them with AES or GTR 2 inch fog projectors. They have a great beam throw and will drastically improve nightime visibility.

This video gives an idea of the throw. Be sure to get the Toyota brackets as then they will fit directly in your car. If you are wary of warranty, don't get the high beam connection done and use only the low beam (that is plug and play). Even that will improve your visibility by 100% vs the headlights.

Following are the status, if someone could help me decode what they mean by waiting period in the first screenshot - "next update in Feb".
Does this mean that my vehicle is expected to be delivered in Feb, as I am the first in the queue ?
Any further update on this? I have received a similar email from Galaxy Toyota with waiting period as undefined and Sequence number as '4'.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

Service update: 10k KMs in Pune at Sonak Toyota.
I took delivery on 30th March 2023 and completed 10k KMs in 9.5 months.

Issues faced till now:
i) Right rear door was creating some noise similar to when we load metal.
ii) When AC was turned on, it was smelling like a wet, damp cloth for the first 2 minutes. Post that, it was normal.
In the service, both the issues got rectified.

Fuel Efficiency: Prior to servicing, I was getting 18-20 kmpl in the city (EV heavy driving due to traffic) and 16-18 kmpl on the highways even with full load. Just took the delivery post service and need to check the fuel efficiency, but in the short stretch I have driven so far, it is similar, so no worries.

Engine Noise: Didn't hear any noticeable change in engine noise which is a little disappointing. I am contemplating going for the insulation in the engine bay for some improvement.

I did avail a Wheel Alignment coupon as well which was given by Sonak Toyota.

Overall, I paid 3k which was mostly the part & consumable cost.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

FINALLY after about 1 years wait am taking Delivery of my Blackish Ageha Hycross ZX on 18th of January 2024.

Toyota Innova Hycross Review-20240115_152439.jpg

Just like my Gurkha Asterix its registration will be 0747.

Since its a December manufactured vehicle i am getting it at Rs. 29,71,500 ex showroom instead of Rs. 30,04,000 ex showroom which is the new raised price. Thats a neat saving.
Maybe will invest that in extended warranty (extra 2 years) which is for around 44,000.

Have already had some minor accessories fitted and spoken to my tyre dealer for upsizing from 225/50/R18 Goodyear Assurance to 225/55/R18 Yokohama RV02.

In my view its the perfect upsize since i wont be increasing the width and only the sidewall.

Haven't had much to see on this tyres reviews online and i hope it works out. Yokohama is generally a decent tyre.

The 4 tyre swap will cost around Rs.15,000.

Insurance was through TATA AIG and with Zero Dep, Return to invoice, Consumables etc included it came to 73,000 which was significantly lower than the showroom quote of 1.23 lacs.

My dealer has been pretty good and not pushed for any unnecessary accessories or packages.

Should i go for the extra 2 years extended warranty? Standard is 3 years. This will make it 5 years.
The battery i understand is already under warranty for 8 years. In my 2015 Hybrid Camry the battery and vehicle warranty was for only 3 years. Had to buy 2 years warranty for around 50,000 when the Camry was 2 years old. This was taken especially keeping the battery in mind at that time.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

My hycross has been giving a consistent average of around 18-19 KMPL , took delivery on 11/11/2023 , would be sending it for service tomorrow. It has been a quick and comfortable 2 months of ownership.

Good to know about your fuel mileage figures.
My Camry Hybrid also returned similar figures consistently. 18 to 19 kmpl is very good in real world conditions.

Almost 10,000 kms in 2 months! You really have been racking up the miles. Thats an average of over 160 km per day.. everyday!

I take delivery of my Hycross ZX tommorow afternoon. It will be a fun day!

Even i was surprised with the figures , it has been going up constantly, waiting to see how things will change with the first service .

I travel a lot and most of it is by road , between her and my endeavour I travel almost 6000 Kms in a month. I can honestly say the Hycross is more comfortable and far more fuel efficient, what it absolutely lacks in is the following.
1 - Throw of headlights , it is awful in the recent foggy conditions it was impossible to drive .
2 - Speakers- Horrible sound quality from the speakers! Toyota can’t justify this in a vehicle costing 30+ Lakhs
3 - Interior quality- The plastic isn’t suitable for this price range, specially in places which come in your contact feels rough and cheap .

Rest overall very happy. Wishing you many happy miles with your purchase, My best wishes.
