Congratulations! whatever those multiple reasons were, you are lucky to be getting the ZX(O) especially as this variant has a lengthy wait time.

Heartiest congratulations. I think i had booked just a couple of days after you had in September.
Our car is in transit and next Thursday is expected PDI. I will go with zekardo for PDI.
Even we're getting a ZX(O)

I was contemplating waiting a few weeks more to see if any tax cuts are announced, but dad doesn't want to wait.

So now I'm drilling down dad regarding insurance etc, as car will be in his name and he just pays whatever is asked

Please let me know how the handover and detail go and any tips on the same.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

It’s raining ZX (O)’s!! Congrats to CEF_Beasts and PrasadS.

The first glimpse is indeed very special. Can attest from very recent personal experience as I just got delivery of my Blackish Ageha ZX (O) yesterday in Bangalore! Luckily for me the wait very long - exactly 1 month between booking and delivery.

I drove the car down to Kochi after delivery and had a whale of time. A promising start to a hopefully, long and joyful ownership experience! Cheers!!

Double Congratulations to you, one for the car and another for the waiting period
Should we ever do a Hycross meet, we can paint the city in Blackish Ageha color

How did the insurance deal go and what accessories you opted for?

I got the car via a corporate lease option at my workplace. Insurance had to be mandatorily taken from Tata AIG (insurance partner for the program). It cost ~71k including the usual add-one like zero dep, return to invoice, engine & tyre secure, RSA, & consumables cover.

As for accessories, I got the mudflaps, jewel garnish, front and back under run, roof ornament, door edge protector, rear reflector garnish, and tail lamp garnish from the dealer. I am kind of ambivalent about the rear reflector garnish - rest look good to me. It would have been cheaper to get these from a third party but I just took the easier albeit costlier option. Other than these, I also got a Viofo A229 Pro 2CH dashcam installed. Still waiting for delivery of the GFX Lifelong mats - the dealer offered mats didn’t seem that great to me.

Hello, is this your car at Ultimate Detailerz Kochi?

Today I went to collect my Hycross (right) after the yearly coating service. Was told this one belonged to a Bhpian who drove it down from Bangalore.

Yes! Quite the coincidence!!

Had seen your car when I had gone to give mine yesterday morning. Looked immaculately maintained.

Thanks for your DM earlier regarding good places for paint protection in Kochi - am a newbie yet and couldn’t revert. I was in quite a quandary as Google threw up way too many places, many with very good reviews. Your DM made the decision very simple for me.

Hey thanks, and congrats to you in advance!

I had booked with 2 dealerships; in Sept ‘23 booked a VX(O) with Lakozy Malad, when the car was no where in sight decided to upgrade the VX(O) booking to ZX(O) which coincidentally coincided with the official bookings reopening. Meanwhile made a fresh ZX(O) booking with Madhuban Lower Parel in April ‘24.

Lakozy Malad came back in May ‘24, saying they have received a ZX(O) in Blackish Ageha GF colour and since the person who it was actually intended for couldn’t take it, we were offered the car and immediately lapped it up.

1. The delivery experience was good, nothing too extravagant. With Maruti Suzuki cars coming into Toyota showrooms the footfall Toyota dealerships have started receiving is on another level. In my 20 years I’ve been dealing with this dealership never have I seen the showroom so crowded, this was a Saturday afternoon !!

The car was parked towards the outside so that delivery could be done easily, otherwise bringing the car out would have been a nightmare.

They have started taking a video for their social media handle during the car’s unveiling and key handover. Since we had gone in our ‘14 Fortuner, they took a video with both as a testimonial.

Received a Key-chain, Ferrero Rocher box, unisex perfume and a wallet from them. I handed over a Parker Pen to the lady SA as a token of appreciation for answering all my questions and my constant pestering over the 10 months of waiting on when will the car arrive .

Overall OTR we paid was 38.6L

2. Couldn’t do a PDI since I wasn’t in town, came home for 3 days just to take delivery and going back tomorrow. The car had 18 kms on the ODO when we took delivery.

Also the SA said the car would’ve to be brought to the showroom for the PDI, since they don’t allow people inside their stockyard and those many kilometres would be added on the odo to and fro from the stockyard.

3. Accessories bought were:
- Front Under run
- Rear Under Run
- Toyota’s DVR Front + Rear
- Side moulding on the doors
- Sun visors
- Grill Jewel Garnish (Chrome)
- Muffler Cutter
- Mudguards
- Basic Rubber floor mats
- Rubber Trunk mat (High Grade)
- Interior footwell lighting
- Welcome door lamp
- 2 No.s Safety belt pad they gave for free
- Underbody anti-rust coating
Total Accessories selected and bought were worth 75k, out of which the dashcam itself was ~18k. Anti rust coating was ~6k over the accessories.

I didn’t want to hardwire a dashcam myself later on, since I have no experience doing it, I went with theirs, you can save substantial money here.

4. Took the Toyota Protect ICICI Lombard Insurance which they quoted at ₹1.74L, could’ve saved some money here. Please bargain on the insurance .

PS: In love with this colour, it was worth the wait.

Congrats on the fabulous purchase CEF. Just curious - any thoughts in your brief experience with both dealers? I’ve briefly inquired a few times with Madhuban Lower Parel and found them utterly indifferent and disinterested. To a point where I had clearly told them (more than once) to let me know when ZX bookings reopen but they never bothered even calling despite multiple inquiries with the SA. It’s a different matter that I have bought the GLC and not strictly in the market but still, the dealer attitude was telling.

Thanks

Lakozy Malad as always was great, have been dealing with them for the last 20 years. Meanwhile, Madhuban Lower Parel was a massive disappointment, on the exact lines that you’ve mentioned !! I booked with them due to one SA’s commitment who had shifted here from Modi Hyundai, but it was full of fake promises, have saved the whole ordeal with them for the ownership review. Till date they have neither responded to my message on their so called WA group nor have they given any update. Steer clear from them at any given point of time, period.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

The first look with Zekardo PDI in progress.

Unfortunately rained heavily and the showroom/service center in Panvel was understaffed, so had to do PDI of a wet car.
2 hours of detailed PDI and only 1 very small niggle found. Going ahead with the car

Sharing the quotation, people who recently got deliveries, can you just have a look and see if anything looks off?

Looking at Tuesday or Thursday delivery next week
