Sharing the quotation, people who recently got deliveries, can you just have a look and see if anything looks off?

Looking at Tuesday or Thursday delivery next week
Congratulations, we booked I believe around a few days or weeks apart and took/taking delivery also a week apart, that too of the exact same specification !!

This is one fantastic car, all the apprehensions I had regarding the slight lack of power and quality were driven away as soon as I experienced the car properly…Yes interior quality is still iffy but better than pre-production models.

I was bit surprised to see an invoice of ~39L, but then I saw PPF and Sun-film as well, so that base is covered and hence the additional cost. So is the PPF being installed by a 3rd party in affiliation with Wasan Motors ?

Here’s mine on a recent drive to Lonavla, really enjoyed the drive and the ADAS worked flawlessly well. By not including pedestrians and motorcycles detection, Toyota has nailed it!!

I have become a huge fan of Value Luxury and this thing just takes it to the next level. Good to see Toyota India finally catching up with other manufacturers.

Excitement is contagious lol. I'm thinking of borrowing the Hycross for a month as soon as it comes and let my dad use my Rapid

As always, no matter how much of researcher or a nerd you are, you cannot win against an Indian dad. He went ahead and finalized a lot of things with the SA when i wasn't around and now I'm behind the SA to change some of them
The PPF is 200 microns and has 5 years warranty and seems that a 3rd party is involved. The SA claims that incase of panel work, they'll change the affected area PPF free of cost.(I'll have to confirm if that is applicable only if insurance is taken from them).
Since dad is the user of the car, I'm letting him accessorize it as he wants it, he prefers peace of mind instead of cost saving.
The only thing I'm insisting is a dashcam, which the SA said he'll confirm by tomorrow. Let me know how the quality of the dashcam seems to you.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

Finally getting delivery of my VX booked May2023 at Trivandrum. Delivery planned by next week.

Going for below accessories from the dealer as of now. Any suggestions?

1. Front and Rear under run
2. Side Protective Molding
3. Hella Trumpet Horn
4. Fog lamps - They told that they can fit Lumax Projector Fog lamp. Considering the mixed reviews about headlight, will this be of any use? Any reviews?
5. Mud Guard

Other after market accessories in the wish list not in any order

1.Door Handle cover and Housing Chrome
2.Side step
3.Floor Mat
4.Muffler cutter
5.Door edge protector

Any other accessories which is good to buy from the dealer itself even if they demand a premium.

Planning to buy mats from outside. Any recommendation for good mats?

Any recommendation for a good Ceramic coating shop in Trivandrum or Kochi?

Also thinking about doing under body coating.

Thanks in advance.

Congratulations on your new ride! Over a year waiting for VX variant? Didn't feel pulled to try Invictus?

If projector fog lamp can be installed at dealer, it will be good. What was the quote? The regular fog lamps are just for name sake and it was around ₹13k last year at dealer. I was never bothered about Hycross headlight and felt it sufficient. The Kuttikanam drive (NH183 KK road) during monsoon (just light drizzle) at 7pm, was struggling to see the road, made me think otherwise. Not sure of Lumax brand, but projector fogs better than regular ones.

Get 7D car floor mats from outside.

I was happy with Altis and the manual transmission made me think about Hycross. I am not a big fan of sunroof and hence VX looked sensible for me.
Projector fog lamp was quoted at 19800 and normal at 13k.
Any specific brand to look for in 7d mats?

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

How is the experience with Toyota dashcam for people who have gotten it installed?

I'm contemplating if i should take it or go for aftermarket dashcams(don't want wires to be visible and wanna avoid fuse tapping on a hybrid)

They're quoting 17.5k for the camera and will be powered from a cluster somewhere and not the board.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

Hi Everyone!

This is my first post after years of following Team bhp. Recently got delivery of Hycross zx(o).Wasn’t impressed with its audio quality .Please remove or merge if my thread is redundant.

I am fairly disappointed with the audio quality of the stock 9 speaker setup. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions from your experience for upgrading the stock components .

Listing down my requirements .

1. Car: Innova Hycross ZX(o)
2. Budget: under INR 150000
3. Requirement: . I am looking for clean and clear sound with proper heavy and tight pass
4. Planned upgrades: Thinking to keep the same stock HU and upgrade the front 3 way components and changing the rear door coaxial with components and adding an amplifier to drive it. Open to the idea of adding an under-seat sub as well. Also, adding damping sheets to all 4 doors and boot door.
5. Options: Now, here I am stuck after researching for 4 months . I do love music, but with limited knowledge in car audio systems.

Request the expert members to suggest the combinations that i can go for. Shall be highly appreciative of all the suggestions .

Thanks in advance

Missed answering your question, the dashcam is of decent quality, it’s neither too good nor too bad. It has a 32GB SD card that can be upgraded to our preference.

After the storage is filled, it automatically deletes the previous recordings. One can access the live footage through the Toyota DVR app which shows both the front and rear feed together and at the same time save any footage we want in our phone’s gallery.

For the quality though it’s expensive and there are much better and cheaper aftermarket dashcams available. I went with Toyota’s for the simple reason that I didn’t want to hardwire a dashcam myself since I don’t have experience doing it and this being a hybrid car didn’t want to mess up any electric component.

You can check with Wasan Toyota if they can fix a dashcam of your liking in the car instead of Toyota’s DVR. I’m sure Lakozy would’ve said no, but Madhuban would’ve said yes, so try your luck with Wasan.

Thanks for the update. Will check with Wasan if they'll do it. They're yet to send me details of their dashcam despite asking 2 days ago.

Only 1 point was raised in the PDI and that was the last row cabin light. The button was flimsy and was not activating unless you pressed it inside a bit while moving.
The SA came back to me saying he checked 3 to 4 cars after ours and all of them were operating the same way. He said he'll confirm if that's how it's designed.
Meanwhile the Zekardo engineer messaged me today with a June Hycross like mine with perfectly normal working switch. He even sent a video of that PDI(Mighty impressed with Zekardo service and it's staff)
Forwarded it to my SA and he said he will escalate it to seniors as a certain batch seems faulty.

Whoever has taken delivery recently, please have a look at the 3rd row cabinlight and switch once.

I check this on mine yesterday - worked absolutely fine. There was no need to press the switch in or anything to have it work.

Did you perchance happen to see this on any other Hycross yourself (other than the SA’s claim that is)?

The SA sent me a video of a new car, a day after my PDI with the same issue. He made sure to capture the outside of the car to show me it's a different car and not mine. That car also had the same flimsy switch like ours, so i believe him on that. Just a handful of same batch cars i guess??

Yeah. Possibly a bad lot of part that got randomly installed in the current batch of cars.

I’m curious to know how the issue is getting resolved. Are you passing on that particular car/ getting a replacement part installed prior to pick up/ picking up as is?

In any case it was a very wise move taking a professional along for the PDI. The Zekardo team seems to have done a through job.

I didn’t use a professional service for the PDI - just did it myself. I was quite horrified when the folks who did the ceramic coating for my car pointed out a small area on the B pillar that is covered by the door when closed that potentially has been repainted. I hadn’t even looked at that area once during the PDI. Luckily for me, that seemed to be the only bit where they found a flaw in the paint.

Anyways, lesson learned - I will use a professional service for all subsequent purchases.

Your car looks cool.

I'm also getting a Black Hycross, would like to know what was the cost for glossy PPF? And how do you do the black chrome?

Been using for a month, It is a dash cam after all so do not expect something like a goPro for vlogging

I did not want to go aftermarket(play with wiring, concealing the front/back connectivity) You can either save few thousands and get similar clarity or get better clarity cameras for the price.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

Hello, Hycross owners who have installed seat covers from outside how was your experience and which brand you went for, how is the comfort?
Has anyone installed Toyota OEM ones for Hycross if yes how is the quality, fit and finish?
Asking because last year I fitted seat covers from outside but was not satisfied with the fit, or the cushioning so wanted to change it, either the fitting was not done properly, or my seat covers have gotten firm over time.
