Unfortunately, I'm now facing the same driveshaft issue with this new car after just 30,000 kilometers. This problem has caused a lot of frustration, and my father is now regretting my decision to purchase the Hycross.

The most aggravating part of this situation is that Toyota is unable to provide a clear timeline for when the new parts will arrive. This uncertainty only adds to the frustration . Overall, this experience has been quite disappointing, especially given the expectations we had for the Toyota brand.

Which Toyota ASC are you dealing with?

And, did the ASC mention the timeline for the arrival of the parts?

Even I'm willing to get this part replaced as the sound became irritating to say the least but, somehow, this became not much of an issue for us, at least for now.

On the other hand, car has completed 36k Kms on the odo and will complete 1 year of ownership this weekend.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

My car got keyed badly yesterday. I’m very sad since I have an expensive ceramic coating and personally hand wash it weekly. I had only parked it at a paid parking and at a restaurant parking, not even on the street. I am not sure when it happened. Just wanted to vent because no matter how much you take care of your possessions, something outside your control will still give you heartaches.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

This is just so sad and infuriating. No matter how much ever we take care and be cautious of where we park; jealousy amidst people would always find its way on a well maintained vehicle. Hope you have it rectified soon.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

This is a nuisance is increasing rapidly. I have got it in 3 areas which happened at 3 different cities/towns. Worst is one in my own parking and we do not have CCTV coverage. Feeling helpless and sad with these repeated occurrences. Can't do much, I do not know why people are like this.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

Sad to see this happen on a personally maintained car with ceramic coating. My car gets keyed or otherwise scratched every alternate time that I take it out somewhere other than my usual routine. I got it detailed recently and that's only made it more prone to scratches/getting keyed. Hope you can rectify it soon.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

Will there be any price reduction on the Innova Hycross Hybrid models after the recently concluded budget session?

Might consider this if the ex-showroom of the vehicle comes sub 25L for the Hybrid version.

I see absolutely no chance of this happening, the Innova Hycross still has a waiting stretching to over a year and the demand is high, so Toyota really doesn't need to do anything.

I feel bad for you. It really pains a lot when such incidents happen. Would a ppf save us from such incidents?

That really hurts. Scratch is too deep and should get repainted as it's quite visible.

Mine got scraped by a rickshaw guy carrying scrap metals in a very narrow road. I was stationary and the rickshaw guy came by and his protruding tin sheet scraped both doors and bumper on right side. It happened too quickly and was totally out of my control.

Since my car is pearl white color, I chose to live with it as it's not visible in first glance.

This is intentionally done. I suggest you to install a similar car security camera.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

Has anyone managed to establish an OBD2 connection with the Hycross? I was using a combination of ELM327 dongle and Torque app in my previous car (Honda City), but it fails to connect when I try it on the Hycross.

I was also looking for the same, but could not get any success story on connecting to OBD of Hycross.

I looked into this but this only seems to be available in the US and it needs a monthly subscription to work?
