Look for scratches on the camera lens. This is very much possible if the lens gets scratched due to improper cleaning. Always wet the camera and then wipe it with a wet cloth first followed by a dry cotton cloth.

Yeah that’s from the handbrake rusting stuck to the discs. It only happens to me if I wash the car and then leave the handbrake on or if I drive through water. I had talked about this earlier in another comment where I talked about how my rear brake pads ended up broken from them rusting stuck. Thankfully, Toyota replaced them for me and now I manually turn the handbrake off whenever I park after washing the car.

How to do this, isn’t EPB automatically engaged when we put in P, also did you notice any difference in braking before and after changing the broken brake pads?

Doesn't look like scratches. Will check with service center when I go for TPMS sensor replacement (for which they have placed an order, waiting for it to arrive)

I had no clue there was anything wrong with the car. They found that the pad had cracked inside the casing during service and replaced both rear brake pads and discs free of charge.

To turn off EPB,
Put it in park, then press the brake and push the EPB button down once. It will disengage till the next time.

Ok, I will try it, but doing so will affect the Parking Gear in the long run, is it recommended/normal to always leave your AT car on Park Gear without any handbrake?

If you are not parked on a slope, it won’t matter. Doing it only till the next drive after washing the car won’t affect it at all.

My garage is level and it won’t roll anyway even if I put in neutral.

I read your earlier post about this rear brake issue you mentioned that noise is coming from the rear left tyre, guess what I am also noticing the same thing all the noises are coming from the rear left tyre itself i think I need to check my rear brakes asap.
Is this problem solved in your case after changing the rear brake pads and disc or do you still feel/hear jerks and noises coming from the rear while shifting from P to R?

I think you misunderstood me. It happens only when the rear brakes are wet from driving through puddles, washing the car and hand brake is left on overnight. Like other bhpians said, it’s from the brake pad rusting stuck to the disc. It happens in all cars with rear disc brakes apparently.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

I have just completed 500km in my petrol only hycross and seeing mileage between 11 and 13kmpl in city with moderate traffic is simply impressive given the size of the car. The thing I have noticed is that driving a CVT requires a different driving style to extract both the power and mileage. The car has ample power and it is confirmed by 0-100 tests. Overall it is a good car which fulfills its purpose as a comfortable cruiser for both city and highway.

I have the Toyota Dashcam in my HyCross. I have collected all information on DVR in this post including the PDF of the scanned copy of the manual - https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/offic...ml#post5520200 (Toyota Innova Hycross Review)

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

Is there any way to locate a lost key of hycross?

I lost one of my keys and wanted to know what are next steps to get a new key as well. For security I think maybe it's better to change both keys afresh with new code. Thoughts?

That's an unbelievable economy you achieved with Hycross petrol in city, hope it is consistent and how are the highway figures?

I am getting my Hycross petrol delivered next month, can't wait anymore.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

Facing a strange issue in my Hycross hybrid. I have the fuel efficiency display set at Tank average. Since last 2 tank fills, this meter resets randomly and the readings thus are not retained till tank refill. Anybody else who has encountered this and if there is a resolution.
