Does this replacement void car/electrical warranty?

No. It’s plug and play and they left the horns in a very conveniently accessible location too to make it easy for DIYers. Didn’t change fuses or relays or wires either.

I inadvertently reset the gauge at 150KMs. So, it's about 430KMs.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

Anyone installed Hero Qubo Car Dash Camera in Hycross (instead of the Toyota dash cam)?

Congratulations on your new car!

It seems that delivery in tier-2 cities is quicker. In an earlier post, a member from Pune mentioned that he got Hycross immediately at Kolhapur with same dealer.

Can anyone else confirm this?

Went on an hour long relaxing drive and fortunately there was no traffic. Got some really good mileage so I had to take a picture.

I dont know how you guys seem to getting these numbers. I get between 12-14 kmpl with the most sedate driving. The car is mostly driven in and around Pune during peak traffic so assuming the highway range will be better but this is drastic difference. I even took it to the service centre and they said everything was OK with the car and the battery. I've done about 18,000 kms till now.

I have the VX variant.

All of my driving is done in Eco mode. The screenshot I pasted above is when I was babying the car (mostly on highways) for the first 1500 KM post delivery.

Currently, the the FE I get is consistently around 19.5 KMPL in the city (I don't use it during rush hours).

In my 2nd post, you will see that I also got around 12kmpl during peak traffic. It’s normal. All cars get horrible mileage when stuck in traffic since it’s burning fuel without moving essentially giving you 0kmpl.

Take a nice long drive at night when there is no traffic, you will be surprised how much the car returns when the hybrid system can predict your inputs and work properly.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

Hopefully, I will be getting my HyCross soon and am wondering if there are guidelines that I can use for making modifications. Specifically, what kind of modifications are permissible that do not void warranty? In the past, Ive never modified any of my cars, but this time around I plan to make a few changes viz. add a side step, change all halogen bulbs to LEDs, change horns and maybe even change the fog lamps to brighter ones given the stock lighting is abysmal.

That is mostly true. They said that the company gives few cars out of the line to smaller dealers so that they can retain the customer's interest. Mine could be one such. I was not actually expecting it to come before April 25.

Also questioned my waiting list no and which month bookings are honored now.
I had booked VX(O) in April 24, was told it would come in march 25. But last week I was told it is ready and I got my vehicle.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

I am facing a weird problem with the Audio system(10 inch unit) with both apple and android phones(guests wanting to stream music via bluetooth)

I generally use my iPhone because of wireless car play support, but I noticed that I am unable to connect an android phone during this time via bluetooth.

I need to manually fiddle with the settings and enable bluetooth/music streaming work on android while using wireless CarPlay for navigation but this can't be done every time I plan to drive with a larger group.

Any easy way to handle multiple devices for my use case ?

I bought an Innova Hycross Hybrid ZX(O) this month (Sep 2024) in pearl white. Even I got a shorter version of user guide unlike my previous Innova Crysta which had the complete owners manual.
However If we install Toyota i-connect app (both iPad and iPhone versions available) we get to read detailed user manual. We can even download same for offline use. But it can only be read from inside app. I have requested for PDF version of same from dealer but no success so far.
We can even access same in toyota bharat website if we can register with our VIN. But the experience wasn’t very good as the website keeps logging us out after every few minutes. So our best bet is to download the app on a tab and download the user manual for offline use.
