Off to the Kia Carens thread.
An update on this

After this post I went ahead and booked Kia Carens. Dealer promised Nov end delivery. Dealer pushed it by a week again into Dec and finally came back saying factory issues and we are sorry we can’t deliver the vehicle by first week of December.

It was like for some reason I couldn’t get the car on time. Finally cancelled even the Carens booking and decided will restart in 2025. Yes, this has been a very funny ride , it deserves another thread. Anyways rebooked Hycross non-hybrid again and waiting.

We picked up a Feb manufactured ZX(O) and it has the Hybrid badging. It probably means it misses out on all the updates then (I am not in town to check)

They are aligning the naming convention to their International portfolio. I started to see this logo on all new RAV'4's, Corolla's, Corolla Cross, Yaris and pretty much everything they sell that is a Hybrid.

Won't it be a bothersome feature? The silent cabin, when the car moves on battery was a plus point. The reverse sound is really irritating on video

It is, yes. I'm guessing most will opt to remove it.

On the flip side: The silent movement has many times caused pedestrians and bicyclists to be unaware that a large vehicle is creeping up on them. I try to give the shortest honk I can but even that causes them to jerk in surprise.

Any pointers on how to clean engine bay at home? Asking because it has more electronics than conventional ICE.

It's not advisable to pressure/water wash the engine bay. You could use air blower to remove dust if you like.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

Folks, any recommendation for dealers supplying good quality accessories for Hycross in Bangalore? I am getting closer to getting my car and need to start planning for accessories.

I plan to take the dashcam from Toyota as it would involve electric work and also looking at footwell lights from the dealer.

Some external accessories like side door moulding, roof rails, front and back under runs are accessories I am thinking of along with mats and boot mats. Since these are purely external ones, thinking of looking at options outside the dealership.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

We decided to go for the Hycross to upgrade from our Seltos. Decided to book the Hycross thinking it'll take at least 6 months to deliver, and we can start looking for buyers for the Seltos in the meantime.

Booked through my dad's office's corporate leasing, it took a grand total of 2 WEEKS to be delivered! That too, it's the latest model with the eHeV badging and the terrible earsore that is AVAS. My parents thought there was something wrong with the car.

Is this a record TAT for the Hycross ZX(O)?

Wow, congratulations! And here I am stuck with a terrible dealer for a year with no movement of my waiting number in the last many months.

Thanks for the warm welcome on the group! Hopefully will get to the review soon, but nothing can top what CEF_Beasts has penned

That's really unfortunate. I think I got a benefit from a last minute cancellation, perhaps. Or the corporate lease tieup. Hope you get yours soon!

It sounds exactly like in the video link shared. Sorry, haven't driven the car yet and it didn't seem to do it at idle. And it sounds nothing like a "harmony of angels". Wish they'd emulated an engine sound instead.
