Are these updated lights applicable across all variants (and not just ZX etc?).
I hope this addresses one of the biggest problems in an otherwise sorted car.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

Decided to move on from TATA (HEXA). Last 3 cars have been TATA. And the only genuine 7 seater we found was Innova Hycross. We booked it in November 1st week and have waited. At last - looks like we will have the delivery next week. Excited and looking forward to owning our First Toyota.

A few quick questions:
Should we look at a tyre upgrade?
Any good dealer for Hycross accessories in Bangalore?

Congratulations!

Tyres depend on the specific model, which one have you finalised ?
I own the VX(O) and find the 17 inch profile perfect for our roads. Mine came with Apollo and are just fine for Bangalore roads. Grip levels are good, silent ,might last 40-50K easily and no punctures in 11K kms.
If you have any specific need/urge, feel free to upgrade

Generally dealers have good range of accessories(At least my Ravindu dealer had), again it depends on your specific needs(like Audio setup) which you can list

Thanks.
We have a ZX(O), Attitude Black.
For accessories - Was wondering if Toyota would be over priced. Thats why wanted to check open market before I decide. Was looking at side step bar, Back guard, Dashcam - Front & Back, good quality Foot Mats and some Chrome touchups.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

Toyota Innova Hycross Review-img_7701.jpeg

Recently I did a 1600 km round trip in the Hycross with 7 passengers and luggage, where I was the only driver throughout the trip. I wanted to share my thoughts as this is the first time I’ve driven the Hycross extensively:
1. The Hycross is most comfortable under full load, which I’ve experienced multiple times.
2. The driver’s seat provided excellent comfort; I was fresh and fatigue-free even after driving continuously for 5-6 hours.
3. The high-speed stability is excellent at all speeds – it cruises like a tank.
4. Under full load, the Hycross can cruise comfortably at 80-90-100 km/h all day. At these speeds, NVH is well-controlled. However, anything above 100 km/h, especially on cemented roads, and the Hycross struggles in terms of NVH and pick-up.
5. Passengers rated the comfort as excellent. Some passengers even found the 3rd row more comfortable than the 2nd row.
6. The braking performance was just average and not confidence-inspiring. Regenerative braking kicked in more often than I liked, and in some situations, it hampered braking performance.
7. Regarding the driver, the Hycross's agility and drivability are spot on – probably the best I’ve experienced, with the only exception being German cars. I don’t know how Toyota does this with all their big cars, but for me, the Hycross remains one of the easiest cars to drive long distances.
8. On some single-lane roads where there were more overtakes and stops, I used power mode as normal mode couldn’t keep up under full load.

Overall, I am truly impressed by the Hycross – it really is a driver’s car.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

Been less than a month since I got my Blackish Ageha Hycross, been loving it so far.

Yesterday night, to my utter horror, got a ugly scratch on the door and beneath the wheel cladding there's a minor dent with paint removed. Happened when I was exiting a tight basement cellar of a restaurant, the mirror and rear passenger section had cleared the turning so I went through with more power since it was an incline, heard the scrape seconds letter. Completely my mistake since the 360 camera was dark and I hadn't repositioned the mirror to point at the floor, so was blind to this. The cladding has come out and underneath can see white and a minor dent. Have put back the cladding now, only the door scratch is noticeable.

The friendly neighborhood 3M studio owner refused to take it saying maybe the scratches can go with polishing etc but 2 deep lines may remain but can't do anything about the dent and he also mentioned there's no hope of getting this particular share of paint painted outside and recommended me to approach the service centre itself. Is he right?

What are my options? Highend detailer or Nandi toyota (my dealer in bangalore)?

I've booked an appointment with Nandi toyota on Monday, worried that they might charge a fortune. Will this be covered under insurance?
Any help would be appreciated as this is my first car scratch ever. Willing to pay through the roof to get it patched but not sure about the correct course of action.

Chillax, first encounters are always stressful. Nevertheless, I would stick to Toyota for the repaint, and later get good detailing done by a reputed detailer.

And yes, this would be covered by Insurance.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

Does anyone else feel that Toyota should have offered more colors for the Hycross ?

Even the Crysta had so many nice colors like :

Toyota Innova Hycross Review-icrystagrey.jpg
A superb dark grey! Why don't we have this (or a Nardo Grey) in the Hycross ?

Toyota Innova Hycross Review-icrystared.jpg
An elegant dark maroon that goes by the name of "Garnet Red" when it should be called "Wine Red" !

Maybe they could offer some new colors for MY25 ?

Stick with Toyota dealer for repainting.

By the way if you tell name of the restaurant then others can be careful.

If I were you, I'd get it buffed out as much as possible and re-align the trim. It's a common scratch to happen, and given our driving conditions, it could happen again.

But if you still want to get it repainted go to Toyota. Since your car is quite new, you shouldn't have any paint matching problems with the other panels, provided they do a good paint job.

Also, I would consider out-of-pocket, since its only one panel. Leave insurance for bigger damages. But Obviously take a call depending on the amount.

Wow!
Accessories pricing that you have listed is indeed a fraction of the cost, most of it only around 30% of what the dealership is quoting. Are you happy with the quality of the accessories?

I wonder if we would get similar pricing in Bangalore as well without compromising on quality.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

I had bad experience with Nandi Toyota Whitefield with similar scratch on my Toyota glanza. Colour matching was perfect but there were imperfections in the paint finish. Undulations all over the place of scratch. I believe putty and cover up was not done properly before paint. Whenever the car is in the sunlight, one can see wavy reflections. Each body panel paint cost is 4800 rs + gst, which got covered with my comprehensive insurance.

I got a call from the dealership today. According to the sales person, the color (Attitude Black) is not being manufactured this month. So the options were to either change color or wait until 15th April. We decided to stick with the color and wait.

Absolutely. Most of it is all external so not much worry of going wrong. Looks and aesthetics are also good.
