Sorry to see this, I can understand your pain as I too ended up scratching my rear few days ago at a parking lot. Even though I had the 360 cam, there was a thin pole(multi level parking system) which I could not spot. Rear part which houses the toyota logo(area between the lights) seem to be plastic, so I did not have any dent but bad scratch and the black plastic visible.

Car will not rollback. You can also engage auto hold which works fine on both flat as well as inclines (provided you are in drive model). However we need to press this button every time we start the car.

If auto hold is not engaged, then car will creep forward(in D) but definitely not backward.

Certainly a horrible feeling.

Insurance surveyor has visited and approved replacement of rear trunk door. The request to change the bumper has been rejected considering the damage was less, will live with it as a reminder to be careful. Hopefully the vehicle gets delivered as promised by the dealership.

It's quite funny how the alerts on the Toyota MyConnect app keeps you wondering what they are doing with the car. This was a scheduled first service plus body work visit to the service center. The first two days when the alerts kept popping up - door opened, vehicle started, trunk opened, hood opened I thought it was the service. Now that service is over, see the same alerts popping up randomly through the day. The vehicle has not moved out of the service center, I just wonder what these folks are up to

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

Just wanted to inquire from our tyre experts whether the R17 diamond cut alloys from the Grand Vitara can be a direct fit on the Hycross, as OE tyre profile on both (VX in case of Hycross) is 215/60/R17 and I feel that is the best compromise size of comfort and handling. And also the centre bore/hub bore is similar at 60.1mm, as is the bolt pattern - 5x114.3 and thread size too is M12x1.5 in both.

If so, has anyone on the team tried the same. And if not, why so?

Cheers...

It actually can if you don't press the brakes until you come to a full stop. My car rolls back on slightly steep inclines if I just let go of the accelerator to come to a stop instead of brakes. It will keep rolling backwards in D until I press either the brake or accelerator. The battery display shows that it is even recharging the hybrid battery!

I'd suggest you get the diamond cut alloys that is available on the Crysta facelift version.

IMO, the one on the Crysta suits much better on the Hycross and I don't think Grand Vitara's alloys will gel well on the Hycross considering its stance.

Looks are a personal matter and everyone interprets it differently.

This is what I could find online -

Innova Alloy

Grand Vitara alloy

More importantly I was looking for information on any technical issues in fitting either of these on Hycross, if any?

Cheers...

These are headlights or foglamps? What are the wattages and color temperatures available? Hope these are available at the toyota dealer even if priced a bit higher.

Just a reminder that the trunk and rear bumper of the hycross are almost in line (bumper does not protrude out much), hence most accidents will damage the trunk as well.

As I mentioned 2" LED projectors, so obviously they are fog lamps of OE hycross size. Headlight upgrade is much costlier affair, though that too is now available aftermarket from Malaysia/Indonesia/Thailand markets. Though it mentions 4300K, 5000K & 6000K on the package options, it is usually available in 6000K i.e. white.

You can go through these videos for more information on this product, no affiliations of mine -

These are simple installations, and are easily reversible, so don't be caught up with the Toyota dealer trap of warranty etc. who will charge you double or triple the price.

Cheers...

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

Hi All,
Was going through a video recently that highlighted 5 changes done to the 2025 Hycross versions. One interesting change mentioned was the upgraded reflector setup on headlights for better visibility.

Question to folks who received the 2025 version, do you feel there is an upgrade in headlight quality or its still the same?

Was also wondering if lower hybrid trims and Petrol trims would also receive this upgrade?

I just took delivery of a VX(O), April, 2025 model. Though i don't have any comparison with the previous ones, the head lights on this one is as well poor, nothing to be happy about. If really they have enhanced it, I wonder what was the fate of the previous ones (My Jimny's lights are great in comparison to this !!)

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

Update on my booking -

So 16 days after booking my GXO in Bronze, the booking starts showing up at https://bta.qristix.com/ , which is the official Toyota site to track your booking -

Toyota Innova Hycross Review-20250510_063222.jpg

So my sequence number is 23 and it is showing a current waiting period of 24-26 weeks. So 6 months down the line it is.

Had to follow up with the dealership to make this happen. Glad that things are working transparently for now.

Cheers...

Toyota says that it is a safety feature so that the driver is not distracted. After about 2 1/2 years and 36,000 km of driving HYCROSS, I have come to terms with it. The only option is in the settings, displaying the feed where the time of displaying feed gets reduced to less than 5 secobds which you can find by touching the various options which comes in the screen itself

That's wonderful to understand that you are able to get a transparency in your booking. I have a question, is this portal specific to your dealer? My dealer is unaware of such a tracking mechanism, and I am repeatedly following various tiers of managers and they are all totally unaware of this portal.

Nope. It's a all India portal for all Toyota dealers and has already been discussed by other members earlier in this thread. They feign ignorance, usually the sales guys, but there is always one person in the dealership who looks after procurements who is fully aware of this system. Also other malpractices are that they enter their own mobile number and email in your official booking, so that only they will be able to log in and see the status of your booking. For this to work, your registered mobile number and email must be entered at Toyota's backend while making the booking. Also your order status starts showing only when the procurement guy at the dealership, finally processes your order at the dealership (usually on 8th of every month) and puts it in his monthly requirement quota with Toyota backend. Hence the 16 days delay in my case.

Hope that helps. Cheers...

Its either deliberate ignorance or denial from the sales guys. However, I have asked them to verify that again.

During my booking process, OTP was generated to my mobile no, similarly the confirmation email had come to me directly from Toyota (TKM_Demandnsupplyteam@toyota-kirloskar.co.in). So hope that side of the process was legit, fingers crossed.
