That's very good. Now the best thing for you to do now is to raise a complaint with Toyota Customer care on voc@toyota-kirloskar.co.in. I also did that and received a call back from them.

HOW TO TRACK?

Dear Sirs

With reference to the aforementioned booking -

Model:INNOVA HYCROSS
Dealer:GRAND TOYOTA
Booking Date:23/04/2025
Order ID:xxxxxxx

We were supposed to be able to track our vehicle booking on https://bta.qristix.com/

However the same is not visible there and we are unable to login with our registered mobile number or email to see the booking status.

Kindly let us know how we can track our vehicle booking status?

Thanks and regards
This brings the entire dealership machinery into working. They will ask you for the Order ID and the Order Booking number that you received in the email. The Customer Care knows about the qristix.com website and confirmed that to me that it should be showing there. Initially my sales guy also feigned ignorance about the existence of this tracking mode. I did not receive the response in 48 hours from the dealership and I escalated it once again with the same complaint number. Remember to raise a complaint and not a query that the booking status is not showing on that site. Then finally I got a call from the actual person who knew about this tracking thing and he subsequently got it activated, because he knew I would not let go and knew how Toyota's systems worked.

Hope that helps. Cheers...

This is still very confusing, in Delhi i was quoted a wait time for GX(O) to be around 12-13 months. I went ahead and did the booking anyways and the sequence number allotted to me is 7. What is the rationalization behind assigning this sequence number? Is it overall number of Hycrosses pending to be delivered to the particular dealership in the area or is it granualized to color and model options?

Yes, it's Hycrosses pending at each specific dealership and each dealership has a different quota. AFAIK Delhi has more quota of Hybrids from the backend and much lower quota of petrol only ones, in line with government's ev policy, from what I heard in the grapevine but that might be wrong. But the waiting time that you are quoting might just prove this point.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

Dear All,

Recently got a Engine malfunction alert on my two year old Hycross. On checking with the service centre, it was found that a cable has been chewed, this cable hangs openly underneath. Technician called it the O2 cable and it is used for emission related measurements with a sensor at the exhaust. Cost of replacement, around 20k total! and they need 3-5 days to procure it. The vehicle could be driven like that, but they suggested it has to be replaced soon.
On checking with them, they said this is a common complaint they get usually as this cable is openly hanging and is at mercy of dogs, cats who get underneath. After replacing, also no fix that it may not happen again

I would like to ask the forum members if anyone has faced similar issues with Hycross and how did the they handle it. Thanks.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

Guys

I booked the ZX (O) Blackish Ageha in April 2024 at Harsha Toyota, Kondapur, Hyderabad. The SA promised delivery by this month end or early next month. I need advice on the following:

1. Is the sound quality really that bad? I am not an audiophile but I do enjoy music and would love to have good audio quality. If necessary, I am thinking of plug and play type of speaker upgrades, but not considering upgrading the sub woofer. Which speaker brands are advisable and which car accessory/car audio shops in Hyderabad - Secunderabad are recommended?

2. Is PPF or Ceramic coating worth the cost? I had a bad experience with PPF on my Nexon. In the fifthe year (last year of warranty) the PPF installed by 3M became rough, dull, ugly and almost opaque. When I tried to get it removed, 3M quoted very high to remove it. And they said there is no guarantee that the film would come off without damaging the paint. So I decided to get it scraped off at a friendly neghbourhood garage and get the whole body repainted. Is there any improvement in the PPF available these days? Should I go for it or for Ceramic coating or none at all?

3. I want to go for damping of all doors and the floor as well. I am tempted to get this done because damping seems to promise a quiet, refined cabin experience. Should I get it done? If this is recommended, which shop in Hyderabad should I go to?

4. Apart from the above, I want to upgrade the fog lights with projectors, side steps, rear bike protector, good floor matting, dash cam front and back and cladding on the doors. Which accessories should I get from Harsha Toyota and which should I buy from a car accessories shop?

5. Do you recommend any other upgrades/accessories?

I will be grateful for any advice on the above and also for any recommendations/references for a good accessories shop. Thank you.

PPF can be avoided in my opinion. If something happens repainting can be done. What was the cost for Nexon full repainting and what was the cost for PPF? That should speak for itself.

Audio quality for VX variant is just basic. I doubt JBL setup in ZX would be much better. Instead of full dampening, just doors and under hood would suffice. The car is already silent enough if you're driving below 120 kmph.

Investment in after market lights (atleast projector fog lights) is a must. So spend money here

Before and After is light years apart, makes a huge difference, highly recommend it to anyone struggling with the lighting situation of the Hycross.
Still wish there was more sideways dispersion to get some light in the 45 degree blind spot while on hair pin bends. But with these fog lights 90% of my concerns are resolved.
Do you have any before/after videos or images that you can share?
How was the installation experience? Does the fitment need to remove the bumper from its bracket or can be done with someone sliding under the car?
Asking as i am not too keen on getting the bumper removed and loosening it in the process.

Will share shortly, not near the car at the moment. You can search on YouTube for Hella fog lamps on hycross, many have done the fitting.

For mine, they had to upgrade a tiny fuse for some reason as the ones provided by toyota were very low power.
Yes, the bumper needed to be removed and someone had to slide under the car for the alignment. The glove box and the fog light switch compartment were removed too. But the bumper removal and fitting is very straightforward for hycross unlike other (tata) cars.

The upgrade has made my life a lot better, gone on many a night drive after this comfortably. Just have to be mindful not to blind the oncoming traffic.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

For anyone looking for a Wireless Android Auto experience on the hycross, I can recommend MSXTTLY Wireless Carplay & Wireless Android Auto Adapter SMT-AC01 (available on Amazon).

Been using it for a month, have gone on a few long drives with it connected throughout for the entire day, no problems so far. Connects automatically when I enter the car provided my phone bluetooth is on. The wifi is turned on automatically once the bluetooth is paired. Supports 5.2 bluetooth and 5.8 ghz wifi. I haven't noticed any obvious lag as such.

Main reason I upgraded was that sometimes the usb cable connector would disconnect at the worst possible time i.e just before I had to take a turning at a junction, leaving me without maps indicating which turn to take. Maybe this was a cable issue or a connector issue but it happened thrice, enough for it to be a bother. Also wireless has the added advantage of even the 3rd row passengers controlling the music with no wire hassle.

Haven't been able to get fermata or carstream working on it though, so netflix/youtube still remains a distant dream.

The stock JBL system and the speakers (even in ZXO) are pathetic. Even my measly Pioneer 6650bt triumphs it many times over. Also I see people falling unnecessarily in costly speaker upgrades. YES, all variants of the Hycross need a speaker upgrade. But a simple Pioneer 6 speaker upgrade at 7K will blow your mind rather than spending 20~30k, that I see people doing. Pioneer was and always remain a market leader in sound quality, period. Model number I recommend (no affiliations) is Pioneer TS-C602IN for front components (90W RMS) and TS-G1610S-2 for rear coaxials (50W RMS). These are built for India speakers with IMPP cones, larger magnets, separate crossovers and Polyimide diaphragm to withstand our extreme heat. These are easily available for a street price of 7k for all 6. Just that the margins for the retailers are low, they will not push this excellent upgrade to fleece more money out of you.

Are these speakers a simple plug and play installation?

Do we need to provide damping for the doors?

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

Quick update folks, couple of weeks back I had reported on this forum regarding a minor accident and my trunk door getting damaged. I got back my car last Thursday and wanted to share the experience.

Experience at the Toyota dealership was good, they were very clear about the process and were able to deliver the car as per the timelines committed. When I took the car to the workshop had to fill in a claim form with basic details like name, address, license no.. few other ID numbers, past accident records and description of how the accident happened. All this was on a Saturday and they clearly called out that the surveyor will visit only on Monday.

Next Monday, I received a text from Reliance General Insurance that inspection is scheduled and contact details of the surveyor was shared. (I have purchased the car on lease and the insurance provided by the lessor is from Reliance General Insurance, the guys at the showroom did mention that it becomes a little more easier for them if the insurance is from Toyota but no difference for the customer) Surveyor visited on Monday and his findings were shared with Toyota on Tuesday, only the trunk door replacement was approved, the bumper replacement approval was rejected as the damage was very minor. I was okay with this and asked Toyota to go ahead with the repairs.

By Wednesday a new trunk door was fitted and Thursday they completed the first service, rat mesh installation as requested by me and handed over the vehicle.

There is a service charge of 2000 for insurance processing that I had to bear along with the cost of rat mesh installation. Both put together was around 6.4K which I paid on Thursday evening and drove out the car. Insurance covered 100% of the trunk door cost.

I did find out that if the rear glass is not damaged only the door gets replaced and the same glass gets fitted on the new door, this was a relief as I have sun film installed on all windows and glass. I was mentally prepared to get a new one installed only for the rear glass but that was not required.

Post the first service the car does feel a little more quieter.

Whenever you buy a new car, there is always a tendency to compare it with your old one and in all aspects I feel really happy and feel a big upgrade over the old. Just two points that stick out after one month plus of usage:

1) I feel Maruti does a brilliant job with bucket seats, the broad and comfortable seats of the S-Cross were in a different league.

2) I don't know if I still need to get used to the brakes or if it is indeed an issue, I felt a lot more confident while breaking at all kinds of speeds in the S-Cross. Yet to get that full confidence in the Hycross.

The cost I mentioned is with speaker rings/rain guards and vehicle specific connectors. With the connectors it becomes a simple plug and play affair. There is no limit to what else you can do, including damping. When the stock car does not provide damping, even with it's top of the line ZXO, with 9 (paper cone, very small magnets) speakers including a dedicated (paper cone) subwoofer, you can try going phase by phase. Damping will certainly improve depth but more often than not it can be messed up by inexperienced installers. You can try that in the 2nd stage.

Cheers...
