I took insurance policy for my VX from TATA AIG and it covers Return to invoice, zerodep, accident cover for all 7 passengers, all the consumables, third party for 3 yrs, engine protect, key protect, rsa and everything covered for just 68500. I saved 50,000 in Insurance. Toyota insurance was above 1 lakh 10 thousand. Save your money ; do not fall in their trap.
Could you let me know which insurance did you take? His contact well if it’s alright with you?

Also does your insurance cover the hybrid batteries as well? The sales rep is trying to scare me by saying other insurers will not cover the costly battery and that since this is from Toyota we are able to provide coverage on batteries as well.

You can take insurance from TATA AIG direct via company.
Policy has return to Invoice and it has all covered.
Battery of Hycross is covered for 8 years under warranty. Do not get fooled by dealer. They want commission and they earn 40000 minimum per customer.

Here are the pictures. Quality seems okay. Color matches well with VX dual tone interiors. I would have wished the mats to have raised edges to trap the dirt inside. The edges seems flat. For ₹5500, this seems good.

I could not find much information about this dashcam online. Searching for this part number does not yield much results. It will be great, if you can share pictures of installation in your vehicle.
Will try taking a pic tomorrow, but it looks like the one in the attachment you shared. A-P66A30K001 is the part number , same as mentioned

There are no moving parts unlike the one shared by amalji

Conclusion: I think except for the engine, (Which I haven't really experienced, My XUV 500 was way better than this. I am possibly moving out of this and going for the Fortuner even though that is a big stretch financially. A stretch of 10L is better than rueing with a car that you dont like for the next 10 years!
Agree, I had a look at the same place last Sunday. Similar views. Premium interiors not present. As has been noted before wheels too small.

Additional observations:
I noted that the width of driver foot area is constrained, compared to my Corolla. This is due to the central console that goes up in a diagonal fashion restricting sitting with a wide stance whereby the knees go out of driver area over the central storage/ gear lever knob in traditional setup.
. This is sometimes needed as we take breaks on long journeys or just need to stretch out when halted.
Incidentally, this is not an issue on Fortuner (parked next to the Hycross).

Thanks, pics will be great. Clearify below queries as well:
  • Is it powered internally or via 12V socket? If it uses 12V socket then front passenger socket will be occupied.
  • Description in PDF says "Supporting Evidence if any accident [Front + Rear]". So does it have a rear camera?
  • Which Dealer you got this from?

Why is there no further information on this from the owner? Any photos of rectification work done on a brand new car , if available may please be shared.

Planning to book the hycross gx variant myself. This comes as a shock within a month the vehicle has been on road.

I also installed the Toyota DVR from Nandi Toyota.
No wire cuts.
It has front and back cameras.
Internal wiring with parking incident support.
Quality is Ok. Using for last few days.
The App (IPhone) is basic. It has wifi provision to watch the recording on mobile.
Neatly installed by the Accessories team from the dealer side. I don't see any issues , rattling etc. It switches on and off without manual intervention.
Photo of the model attached.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

Has anyone seen the new VX(O) variant in person? My SA says that ZX(O) production is less due to lack of ADAS chips from vendor and if I chose VX(O), I would get my delivery faster. I booked ZX(O) a week before official launch with Ravindu, Bangalore.

Re: Toyota Innova Hycross Review

Mud Flaps and 7d mats from Autoform were already added to this car on very first day itself.

Today I went to my dealer to get some accessories fitted in my car.
1) Side Moulding - fitted today
2) (Innova Badging) in front - fitted today
3) Jewel Chrome on front grill fitted today

Pending Items:
4) Fog-Lamps are still not available (expected to arrive in a month)
5) Wheel Cladding: I have been informed that the wheel cladding will be available as an accessory soon within a month

Is anyone aware about the wheel cladding availability?
Has someone in this group fitted the Fog Lamps in VX? If yes, please share your feedback on those!

Thanks for making me notice this, and now I can't ignore it. Suddenly the sence of space I got from the car has gone..

I have already paid for Fog lamp a month during delivery. Kit has stilll not come. Spoke to dealer again today. They told that wiring of the kit is getting resdesigned and expected to come in couple of weeks.

I got few photos from the dealer from their latest install. Their earlier feedback about DVR having issue seems to be for the Crysta part and not the HyCross (which is a new part). They also mentioned if I prefer some other camera, I can get it, they will install it. Toyota DVR cost is pretty high compared to similar ones from 70mai, DDPAI, Qubo etc. Not even sure if this is battery powered or capacitor (which has better tolernace for high temperature) powered. Will try to get more information before deciding.

Side moulding really improves the side view looks. Wheel arch cladding is a must to complete the looks.

Thinking the roof rail may also look nice.

I am thinking of below accessories to be installed during first service.

1. Side moulding
2. Wheel arch cladding.
3. Chrome window beading
4. Chrome door handles
5. Mud flaps.
6. Door visor.
7. Dash cam
8. Roof rails maybe.

3. Chrome window beading
All the Dealers across India have incomplete Chrome window beading. They apply the beading till the windows only. It does not extend till the last quarter of the panel. So we should recheck with them before we get this done.
