Re: Maruti Fronx Review

I don't believe the Fronx Alpha 1.0 AT will cost more than 13.5 - 14L OTR. I think they will price it similar to the Brezza VXI AT variant. That's 13.26L OTR. For features and modern design, you go to Fronx, for better build & smoother engine with FE you go to Brezza. But you lose on some features, so maybe spend 1.5L more and buy the Brezza ZXI AT. That's how Suzuki must be thinking. Fronx-Brezza-Grand Vitara covering the 10L - 20L SUV demand.

Re: Maruti Fronx Review

The Nexa salesperson informed us that the car (sale units) would arrive at the dealer by the end of this month or first week of May.

It is so weird to not know the prices of a car that's going on sale within the next 10-15 days. I hope this doesn't become a trend.

Re: Maruti Fronx Review

The Fronx launch is possibly the poorest effort in terms of planning and marketing by a company that I have experienced in recent times. Announcements and timelines that are arbitrary and piecemeal with no real executive intent to give a clear picture to potential buyers by keeping a timeline.

Hyundai announced the Verna much after and launched it in perfect co ordination with drives. Shashank Srivatsa's presumptuous approach isn't going to get MSIL to the market share they expect to reach in this way despite good products.

Re: Maruti Fronx Review

We had booked an Alpha AT expecting an OTR price of ~15L in Chennai. At these ex-showroom prices, the pricing stretches to 16+L OTR. I find this pricing to be on the higher end and very optimistic.

It's definitely not a no-brainer purchase in my opinion and as a potential buyer that there is little point in rushing to take delivery as we could wait all this while. With the Jimny, the facelifted Sonet and Exter only a few months away, I guess it makes a bit of sense to wait a little longer!

I would Second you on this thought. The price difference with comparable top end Brezza is only about 1 Lakh ex showroom. Brezza apparently has a better platform, interior space, boot space, a sunroof( Though I am not fan of sunroof), and slightly better road presence. The only edge Fronx would have is slightly peppier engine for the 1.0 turbo. I feel this pricing is certainly not VFM.

Re: Maruti Fronx Review

Going by the Turbo pricing between Delta + and Zeta MT, additional 80K is expensive (height adjustable driver seat, rear connected LED, engine start button, rear wiper); Delta + MT is VFM.

Re: Maruti Fronx Review

I must say I'm surprised by the Fronx pricing. I was interested in Alpha 1.0 AT. At 12.97L ex-showrrom, this is going to cost approx. 15.25 - 15.5L OTR. I will rather buy a Brezza at that price. The Delta+ AGS at around 11L OTR makes much better value, but loses most features. Rather buy Baleno alpha AGS.

The Brezza is also safer than Fronx. The latter has one of the best NCAP scores among Maruti cars, unlike the Baleno on which the Fronx is based.
