Re: 2023 Kia Seltos Facelift Review

Do we have Walk Away Lock Feature in Seltos GTX+? Although I received my car yesterday and could not fiddle with all the options but could not find anywhere in the manual.

Any help would be appreciated since my earlier City used to have this and am really spoilt with this option. As a practice I just simply close the doors and walk away without bothering to lock.

This is a big risk if I forget locking since am not used to it.

I don't think Seltos comes with this feature. At least I am not aware of it.

I don't think the Seltos has this feature. Saying so because I've got a notification on the Kia Connect app multiple times about the door being unlocked after I've parked it and headed home. Not a massive issue as I can remotely lock from my phone/watch and so far it's worked without a hitch every single time.

I just booked my Seltos GTX plus Diesel AT - Black.

I have been assigned a car of Mgf year - Jan 2024

Since, it's almost June 2024 - Should I be concerned about anything?

I was offered a 40k discount on it as well.

Look forward to your comments. Thanks in advance!
Dealer offering a significant discount for 2024 model itself is a red flag. It is unheard of Kia dealers to give unsolicited discount (unless it is previus year manufactured). Please get a latest model as @GTX+ has pointed out.

No need to worry at all. The cars which came earlier didn't have this fogging and I was surprised when this happened to my brother's Honda city (4th Gen). But then we found it in the manual that this is expected and the fog will clear up as the temperature increases (as in when you turn on the lights or weather conditions improve)

Service center will not honor warranty for this as far as I know as it is "By design"

Not necessarily. Got a straight 35k INR discount on my May-24 manufactured car from the dealer. Also they happily allowed me to take insurance externally where I knocked off another 30k INR.

Re: 2023 Kia Seltos Facelift Review

We have a booking in Delhi for a GTX+ DCT. We will be doing a PDI this weekend. There are no discounts offered, though we are told it is a May manufactured vehicle.

I am surprised there are no discounts on a 2024 model across Delhi even after Creta is eating up some of the sales and no 2023 MY GTX+ DCT available even though some other variants are available.

However we spoke to someone offering 1.35L on a December manufactured X-Line if we bought insurance from them (referred by another BHPian Aditya).

Really?! Is 35k discount on the ex showroom price? It is unheard of but good for you

Re: 2023 Kia Seltos Facelift Review

thanks all!

My dealer still gave me a 25k discount and also allowed me to take insurance from outside for an April/May 24 manufactured car after I refused to take the Jan 24 mfg car. Guess the Creta competition is helping nonetheless.

Also, my dealer says that the GTX+(S) model has stopped and I've inquired everywhere too, there seems to be no stock or demand anywhere.

Re: 2023 Kia Seltos Facelift Review

I got a 15K Corporate discount + 15K of accessories for my X-Line DCT.
Also got the Insurance from outside, saving another 40K.

What is a corporate discount and how do you avail it?

No walk away auto lock. Neither auto unlock on approach. I believe these features are available on the City (Honda doesn't get auto unlock I guess) and Renault vehicles (triber has it).

But it will give you a notification on your Kia connect app, incase you forget to lock it. You can then press the lock option in the pop up msg itself, to lock it up. UI of the app is very user friendly.

Rather I would say we do not need to use the key at all in Honda City and is entirely KEYLESS.
Just get out of the Car and it LOCKS. Just stand in front of the car and put your hand on the door handle and it OPENS.
They have just a single App to do everything from Service History, Service Bookings, Fuel Logs, Car Lock Unlock Start etc.

Thye have a list of companies, if you or your spouse work for them you could avail it.
The car has to be registered on their name though.

My wife works for one of the WITCH companies which was part of the list.

Re: 2023 Kia Seltos Facelift Review

Need some inputs from Seltos Diesel Automatic owners.

I am considering moving from 2017 Creta Diesel Manual to Seltos Diesel Automatic. I test drove the latest Seltos Diesel Automatic and felt it was little lethargic. Front felt heavy and steering dull. Test drive was on normal mode. Should I have done the test drive on Sport mode? Was it dull because it is a test vehicle? Somehow test drive did not meet my expectations.

What is your experience with ownership and driving experience?

Thanks in advance.
