No sound whatsoever, I am very gentle with the accel (as I have no choice, typical Mumbai bumper-to-bumper) Autohold activation and release has worked as expected since day 1.

I have never faced this issue. If possible, please try to explain more the type/kind of noise you hear.

When Auto Hold is ON and you press the A pedal, the engine revs up to life, so if there is an abnormal noise you hear, it may be related to that. Do get it checked at the ASS if it is bothering you.

Thank you for the insights! I went ahead and booked GTX as I am able to manage the delta in the downpayment.

Thank you! I booked GTX too. I dont know the exact sum of parts, but getting the more powerful engine, 360 camera, ADAS, bigger wheels, rain sensing wiper, DCT, etc in the delta seemed reasonable.

Some would say it's the upsell trap of the variants, but I am a keeper (12+ years of ownership minimum), so don't want to fret, as you said, 6 years later. Eagerly waiting for your ownership post and thread.

Hello GTX+

I am inclined to go with these instead of dealer 7D mats basis your recommendation. Any additional feedback on how the mats are holding up after an year?

I am getting GTXplus Seltos 1.5 petrol delivery coming up next week. Thanks!

Hi Shobhit

Go for these mats. They are of top notch quality and still holding as good as new after more than 1.5 years of use. Sorry am not near my car, else would have shared pics. Will do so at the first opportunity.

Congratulations in advance while you await the delivery. I too have the same variant in black. Which colour have you opted for. Also, what is the on-road price now and are you getting any discounts?

Re: 2023 Kia Seltos Facelift Review

I have opted for white and going to the other extreme this time by adding some chrome to it. It's costing me 21.55 OTR in Haryana. Got 2 more dealers to max out around this price.

If you are referring to a small noticeable "clink" sound, I believe that is due to disengaging of the parking brake when you accelerate. If it is something else, I am not too sure what you are referring to.

Yes I was referring to the "Clink" sound. I was just wondering if this was abnormal. Seems like a normal thing then. Thank you for clarifying.

Re: 2023 Kia Seltos Facelift Review

Piano black plastic - one of the pain points present in modern automobiles. Looks great on day one, not so much later. It's a dust, fingerprint and scratch magnet which requires constant cleaning. Unfortunately the Seltos is also plagued with it, thankfully though, it is used mainly on the gear lever console. However it keeps getting new scratches even after we being very careful with it.

So had to find a solution and stumbled upon this plastic watch scratch remover polish on Amazon which has some positive reviews. It's a product to remove scratches from glass surfaces, but quite effective on glossy plastics as well, as seen in one of the YT videos.

Product link:

It's quite a small package. Picture for reference:

Happy to report that the results are quite satisfactory. Not at the professional level, but good enough for a two minute job. One needs a little drop of polish on the plastic and apply it with a foam applicator in circular motion for a couple of minutes. It works really well on minor scratches and swirl marks. Deeper scratches will need more than one application.

Our Seltos is going great otherwise! No niggles, no complications, just a blissful ownership experience so far. Touchwood. With over 12k kms on the Odo, the engine feels more refined and responsive. The TC gearbox is ever so smooth and trouble free. Will change the engine oil at about 13.5k kms (5k kms after the last change). Closing with a few random shots.

Hi, I'm happy and sad that your Seltos has this issue. Happy because you exactly know what this is and sad, because you are also facing this issue.

So, in my car, I got the driver side front suspension replaced under warranty as the seal broke due to a sharp pothole. Since then, I have been having this issue of this clattering sound under the steering wheel. I noticed that when I give a good whack under the steering wheel it appears to mellow down. Honestly it's driving me nuts. Too many unnecessary noises in this car - my old Jeep Compass is still silent as a dark cave. Please do let me know if you happen to solve this. Thanks much!

Many thanks for sharing this sir, the gloss black finish is a P-A-I-N to maintain. For the FL Sonet it’s spread around the AVN & speedo console area too. It’s a freaking dust magnet.

Aside, do you mind sharing the link for the transperant (silicone, I presume) key fob cover? It looks neat. I did try a few, but none to my liking.

You're welcome . The piano black plastic is indeed a pain to maintain. I was hoping to find some aftermarket trim to cover the console area, but could find nothing. But very happy with that polish overall.

Here is the link to the key cover. Been using it from day one. Yes, it's a soft TPU material - pretty neat and gives your car key fob a sleek look. A little tricky to put on and take off, but all worth it.
